This lead to a question that always bothered me... Since the Starbrat/Catalyst/Harbinger has always been in the Citadel why did he need the help of Sovereign or the Keepers to open the Citadel ? Why didn't he rewrite the Keepers after they have been altered by the Protheans ?balance5050 wrote...
None of that makes sense to me because the Protheans altered the keepers to not respond to Reaper signals.

Honestly? It's just another thing that only makes sense in the light of the I.T..

Well to clarify a few things. I am neither man nor woman, but in fact, 50 gerbils working in concert with oneanother.
Nah, I kid. Male, Human, ~age 20, I used to regular Heresy Online, but no longer do since I lost my taste for Warhammer, I occasionally visit the forums of The Spoony Experiment (they hate IDT there.) but usually don't stick around because of alot of nasty people. And really this is the only thread I post in, or find WORTH posting in on all of the Social Bioware board. If we could eventually make the entire site like this one thread... that'd be great...

THANK YOU. Because I have tried. REALLY REALLY tried. I don't have all the DLCs, but I can't figure a way to get the breath scene without doing MP. Which I just don't have the connection to do.byne wrote...

Well, I HAVE played both other games all the way to the end, including DLC, and reached around 4000 EMS near the endgame even with 50% galactic readiness, so Idk what you were doing wrong.
Ok, well that sounded like bull to me, so what I did is opened up my calculator program and then went here.
I added up all the War Assets I would have gotten based on my decisions throughout all three games, and while it may be off by a hundred or so from the highest you can possibly get, I ended up with 7205 total military strength. I didnt see anything I missed that would have made up the nearly 800 point deficit I'd need to get 4000 EMS with 50% Readiness.
So I would say while you may have been near it, theres no way you'd ever have actually reached 4000 EMS with only 50% readiness.

Hmmm... idk to be honest, I still played MP anyway because I enjoyed it, but perhaps my math was off figuring out my EMS and readiness.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. I multiplied by 5.0, not 0.5.
If Byne is right about 7205 being max achiveable EMS, then yes, despite your best efforts, you will be 600 EMS short.

If you have an ipad or iphone you can get readiness up with the Datapad and Infiltrator apps, though it goes pretty slow

Well you see some of your crew members come out but who knows how many more are on board. If Shep was fighting indoctrination and passed out in some rubble somewhere, there could have been a lot more fighting going on around him/her, to get to the beam, to find Shepard, to get out of there. This of course only if the theory of the whole scene after the beam is in Shep's mind. Something about that ending planet just makes me wonder Shepard might be on board too and maybe a whole heap more time has passed since the intitial beam hit.

What I wanna know is, if you promote enough multiplayer characters, wont it eventually be impossible to get the worst endings?
I mean, each promotion gives you 75 war asset points.
You'd have to promote 66.6 (repeating of course) characters to get 5000 points just from character promotions alone, but I bet people have probably already done that, given that there are people with an N7 level of like 4000.

Well, time to show my pathetic hand I guess. I've been trying to fake it thus far with the younger generation but here we go. Play on xbox 360, I am talking to you be means of virgin mobile USB stick (cheapest connection I could find) The downloads that I do have were by way of "borrowed" wireless internet (it took hours), and I have had the same trac fone for 7 years. I'm just going to have to wait and see if the EC DLC actually gives us an ending. If it does I'll have to save up for some upgrades. Thanks, everyone, for the help though.Uncle Jo wrote...

Not if they were trying to create lots of 'speculation'. Why would they give away the biggest secrets of the game? They want to leave you wondering what happened, they want the fans to figure this thing out. Why end it now when there is so much more they can do with this franchise?
I recall a question asked of the developers about why Joker would abandon everyone and they answer was , Joker would NEVER abandon Shep or the crew. So maybe he didn't.

That scene is only available to very few, you have to be seriously dedicated to get it. I didn't get the scene and I worked my butt off to complete that game 100%. So it wasn't put in there as an obvious statement, it was put in there to create more speculation on whether the ending scenes were real or not. Just a hint, not too much.

If you go with the theory that the crucible is an auto fire kind of thing then it is possible. Even with the breath scene at the end. But it still would mean that the end was a dream/indoc. attempt and they would have to explain how the arms of the Citadel got opened so that the crucible could auto fire.Amelyn wrote...

I was wrong, my galactic readiness must have been higher than I thought it was, guess I'm better at MP than I thought.
Though I'll lay dollars to doughnuts that they release more DLC that can push you over 8000 EMS.
