Does anyone remember Shepard's eyes clearly being indoctrinated in the Synthesis (and clearly) in the control ending

without waking the troll hunters; are you still believing in the theory?

i just read http://blog.bioware....3-extended-cut/ which is about 2 weeks old. there are statements like:

the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s journey.

BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences.

if there is no new gameplay, just cutscenes, doesnt that proof that the ending is the ending and no hallucination or are you now saying that mass effect gets no ending just the indoctrination?

It's a really good question actually. If the cut scenes are to be interpreted as a dream then will the extended scenes be a longer more in depth dream? Or will it point to a more solid straight forward interpretation of the ending? I'm dying to find out!

Summer officially starts June 20th and continues to September 21.

If their release prediction is accurate, it could be anywhere in there.

Guys, I'm thinking we need to create a new topic that contains a FAQ for newbies on the IT. That way we can just refer people to it instead of answering the same questions and correcting the same misunderstandings over and over. I'm tired of seeing replies like this:

Bioware has neither categorically stated nor subtly implied that the EC is not going to be Shepard waking up from an indoctrination attempt. Anyone with a firm grasp of the English language knows that. Someone look up the definition of "clarification" and try to explain how that rules out IT.

Everything they have said up to this point can be taken in either context (IT or face-value), and I'm fairly sure that it is deliberate.

IT requires a new ending.

Bioware said no new endings and no alternative endings.

That means no IT (for at least the EC)

Perhaps we should open up a google docs so we can work on it collaboratively? I'm thinking it needs to contain very short, concise answers for common misconceptions like:

Hasnt Bioware denied IT?
Wouldn't it require a new ending/rewriting the ending?
Isnt it a fan interpretation only?
Isn't there no way Bioware could have intended this?

etc....

The information on "what" the DLC will be has shifted some in statements from Bioware employees. The initial statement was that these would be cinematics. In a matter of days it was suggested that additional gameplay would also potentially be a feature.

Regardless, until the product is out and in our hands, we won't have "proof". The top brass from the Bioware's ME3 Project openly gave us "proof" about the radical and varying endings to the game, even after it had gone gold, that turned out to be false.

Ahh Waldstr, you never fail to annoy me.

Point proven, also, I might add, they never EVER stated that the EC would be exclusively cutscenes, therefore they never ruled out new gameplay.

Nice catch! It goes along well with the fact that "Anderson" says "I see something up ahead, it might be a way to cross over" at the exact moment that Shepard is the one that finds a way to cross over and "Anderson" is already standing at the control panel.

Yep!

Ok, but what about this line: "One of the walls just realigned itself. Theplace is shifting, changing."?

Dreams/Hallucinations do shift and change alot, but even more so when a foreign presence is forcing their influence on you.

Or the place is actually shifting and changing.

You could hear the rumbling of the walls shifting right before Anderson says this.

Why would the Citadel be shifting and changing at that point though?

Getting ready to produce a reaper.

Notice how the shape of the citadel resembles the collector base when the arms are closed.

Thats my point. If those people had the patience or desire to read a massive blog or this thread, they would already be up to speed on the IT. They need short, concise answers to common misconceptions that will actually survive their attention span.

To whom is this adressed?

Because, to be quite blunt, you may not be a troll, but you most certainly qualify for "annoyance".

You come in, give little to nothing to the discussion at hand, start an argument, and scarper when you start to lose.

Agreed, however the doors open more or less at the same time as he says this. So assuming IT isn't true the only logical explaination is that perhaps Anderson came through to the console chamber from a different path which then closed behind him (and TIM did the same), which is definently possible, but if this occurred it has been poorly shown (again very possible). I would expect Bioware to have shown a chunk of wall move out of your way (or into it and you have to go around) if their goal was to show you this.

However a better more reasonable assumption, I feel, is that in this case something is meant to feel off the the room & statements made by Anderson, You never see the 'walls' or 'paths' move the way he describes, you really just see the huge open section, which moves exactly the same as the SB ship.

It's either really unclear in error or intention, but I def think it's unclear.

Assuming that the walls changing that Anderson described are the same as the ones in the video then it would suggest that anderson is moving very quickly. Looks to me like Bioware didn't want Shepard together with Anderson until they got he got to the control panel.
