Did you mean the story of the 101st in Bastogne ? If yes, then I know a little about this kind of misunderstandingArian Dynas wrote...
Thank you. Personally I liked Kai Leng after a while, liked to hate him, killing that son of a **** was VERY satisfying (got the most pissed off at him after her murdered Miranda, I decided to make that ****sucker pay, and pay HARD.)
The Reapers I feel are far too ingrained in the setting to simply wipe out here. Defeated? Yes. Pushed back? Most certainly. Exterminated? Mmm, not quite yet, there are more stories to be told with them I think.
As for winning because of a misunderstanding... well, ever heard of the Battle of the Bulge?
Besides, it gives us fodder to explore the Crucible and its technology in a future sequel, or, who knows, leave it like Tali's face (should have been) and leave it unknown, lots of speculation from everyone!
Concerning running this scene concurrently with Shepard...
I did consider that, but I couldn't really see them intercutting scenes we have already seen with ones taking place at the same time and have already played through.
Kai Leng should just have died in the Citadel...
Yeah my mistake about the intercutting of Bailey/Shep. Forgot the scenes with Shep are already known a little bitIt could be narrated as a flashback after Shep wakes up (partly or completely).
Time to sleep. I really enjoyed to converse with youand hope it won't be the last one.
Hmm, it would have been interesting to kill Leng on the Citadel. But in the Cerberus base, figthing the anti-shepard... it felt poetic somehow.

And yeah, to be honest, I usually hate flashbacks, especially since, unless you are explicitly going for a limited veiwpoint in a story, they seldom, if ever fit well, at all.
