what other space magic is there then the synthesis?
the crew being on the normandy? joker could have just picked them up and overlooked sheppard being alive. i think i read about some cut dialog proofing just that.
edit: flying pigs are ridiculous? to you maybe! ride on my flying piggy, ride on! (could someone play the valkyrie music)
Oh, oh you want to know some other Space Magic in the ending?
Okay granted Joker and the Crew leaving is not Space magic it is only a contradiction of their very basic characters and the loyalty which Shepard supposedly inspires in those around him as shown...across all 3 games. The people on board the Normandy followed Shepard against Sovreign, through the Omega 4 relay and across the war ravaged worlds of Tuchanka and Thessia without hesitating...and then they all turn tails and run in the last fight whcih should decide the fate of the galaxy...but no, not Space magic.
What is Space Magic however is Shepard supposedly surviving these things in the destroy ending:
1: All Synthetic life supposedly getting destroyed
2: A 8 km wide fireball capable of ripping apart quantum shielded material with Shepard near ground zero.
3: The vacuum of Space
4: Orbital reentry
5: All of the above in a burned out armor with no helmet and kinetic barriers.
Oh and after impact he is still able to take a deep breath.
Try explaining this in any kind of locigal way.

Sorry but there is a contradiction in this... they said they will not be adding new endings... and if we get to play him post Indoctrination, then it WILL require a new ending, simple logic. (And there wil lbe no ME4 with Shepard, beacuse again, they stated, this is game will have the conclusion of Shepard story).
They said no new endings, period. Now you can beleive this means no new ending before IT or whatever, but that is beyond hanging on straws.
Yes, normally it would be case closed, accept people keep saying it's fan fiction when in reality it's not, it was Bioware's original intent, so those who support IT are in the right.waldstr18 wrote...
so what are we arguing about? they dropped it. case closed. (assuming what you are saying is true)

1. easy. something like an electric magnetic pulse just a little more permanent.
2. what fireball? how do you know its a fireball? i could just be energy, which like the emp destroyed machines but not the humans.
3. i dont understand. when is shepard in the vacuum of space? how do you know there isnt a shilding thingy around the cruicible and citadel connecting part?
4. who says anything about reentry? didnt the merizan girl say shepard is on the citadel? even though she took it back 3 minutes later? if he still is on the citadel, no reentry there.
5. how do you know he has no kinetic barriers? well, ok, i have no idea how the kinetic barrier thing works, but i doesnt matter, cause i explained all of the above already.
still on the citadel - no impact.
and i didnt even have to think hard about that.

And no I will not stop, I'm sure that Bioware are happy I'm advertising one of their products.

Negative. There can be no retreat. No stepping back. No stepping forward, and no defeating reaper forces! Innocent people die!
Raistlin Majare 1992 wrote...
Auch man, auch the stupidity of that litterally hurts.
Okay here we go.
1: "Even you are part Synthetic" quote from mister Star brat, while not a direct "You are going to die" quote when you consider he just declared doom upon all Synthetic life should you choose destroy it is pretty clear that the implication is that Shepard is going to die in the Destroy ending killed by the same wave that kills the Reapers. Yet he dosent. Explain!
2: Did you even watch the ending? There is a massive fireball the length of the Citadel which originates near the Crucible connection point where Shepard is and can be seen tearing of the arms of the Citadel, you know the Qauntum shielded material! If it is only energy it would not be destroying solid material, stupid or rather if the energy output was high enough to destroy solid material you can be damn sure Shepard is nothing but cosmic dust right now after beeing at ground zero of it!
3: The Citadel is blowing up and you think there is still any energy at all beeing rerouted to keep a functioning Mass Effect field in the area? Also considering the crucible is not quantum shielded material it is a safe bet there is o Crucible after the explosion mentioned above.
4: Gezz not this **** again. I wont start another discussion on wether he is on the Citadel or not though, I am frustrated enough by the complete ignorance and lack of knowledge on display here.
5: Marauder Shields shoots Shepard through the shoulder. Had his kinetic barrier still been active it would have taken the shot. Come on that is so simple it practically hurts.

You say you have your logic and we have our yet why are you so determined to shove that logic down our throats. Just leave and take your "logic" to the threads where they will agree with you and leave is alone.

I'm not against explaining something people need help with, hell, I'm a slow person myself...
but if a question covers something that has already been explained and discussed more than twice, it is in no way offensive or dismissive to point them towards that website/pagenumber/search function.
If there isn't already a FAQ for IT - what's that blog adress again? - , then maybe we should make one. After all, that's what FAQ's are for.
Otherwise there's no real progress.
EDIT:
If the current FTL speed of this thread stays constant, we should reach page #2000 in approx. 2 weeks.

I suggested earlier today that we collaborate on a short, concise FAQ on the IT that we can link people to when they ask questions or attempt to refute IT based on things that have been brought up countless times already.
The problem we have now is the current information is presented in formats that exceed the amount of attention people are willing to give to it. I'm thinking a short, one page FAQ with 1-2 sentence answers for each question will give us something to link people to that will give us a defense againsttrollspeople trying to get on our nerves and also a starting point for people who are innocently curious or ignorant (note, ignorant is not a negative word unless it is willful ignorance).
If anyone has used google docs before, if they could set one up and make it private so only those of us most familiar with the IT could work on it, we could probably bang something out rather quickly, post it up in a new topic, and refer to it whenever the basic questions are asked.
