This is my whole point, I know you believe you were in the right, accepted, unfortunately the opposition does not believe your in the right, you just handed them ammo.

Yeah I heard you the first time. So we should just listen to them go on and on?

Why not?, what exactly are written words doing to you?
If they get out of hand then PM a moderator, all you are succeeding in doing is antagonizing them, which is exactly their intent.

Skip:[blah blah, IT people are stoopid]
Read:[I see what you are referring to, but I see it differently]

What are my written words doing to you?
The ones who come in, troll, then dip out get ignored. The ones who come in, drop a steaming pile, then try to join in the discussion (all the while still flaming) will eventually get called out. Kill it with fire. Seems to be that many of them only leave when they get a harsh rebuke explaining explicitly how their behavior qualifies as trolling. THEN if they continue the mods can be alerted.

So please, with all respect, I've heard your point but disagree.

What i always found interesting was benezias description of indoctrination.
Something like "it's like watching your body through a glass wall" meaning, you cannot control it. now, you as the player controll shepard's every single move. i know this sounds far fetched, but consider the endings. you do not get too much information on neither of the three choices ahead, you aree FORCED to pick one of them. you can't do much but sit there and watch what happens..no control whatsoever, once you've made your choice.
Now, one might say that it doesn't work, because destroy is supposed to be the "break free" choice.

But think about it. despite being the worst choice (at face value) it sure feels right as soon as shep gets his s**t together and blasts away at that tube. the othern endings...well, not so much..you just know you've done something wrong by throwing ourself into that strange reaper beam or by touching these lightning bolts.

As I said in my opinion right now those are the most likely scenarios right now. ( I could be wrong ) They will either win, lose or give us some middle of the road nonsense.

I believe in IDT, or some awesome varation of that, but my experience in life tells me not to get my hopes to high on this one.

I totally agree.  I don't know how many of you were into the TV show LOST, but there were threads for years that were exactly like this one.  In the end, a not a single one of the excellent, well-thought-out-theories turned out to be true, because the writers' ending was WAY simpler than we'd hoped for.

Yes I was/am a fan of LOST, and thought the whole happy ending in the church, which was really purgatory / heaven for them was,...lame.

I really hope we don't see Shepard, and Ash, Liara, Tali, Garrus, Anderson, Hackett, etc etc etc standing around in a church laughing to a quiet piano solo while the camera fades to black...and just for fun throw in Locke.

I'm an IT believer and you people need to mature a little, you want this discussion to continue?, then stop being unrealistic about the type of responses you get.

Yeah, I don't recall writing "Do as I say!"    I don't appreciate being quoted as saying something I didn't.

And you're doing the exact same thing you're claiming others are doing - tellilng other people what to do.

While you're talking about Benezia's "glass wall" metaphor, don't forget what you have to break to initate the destroy ending.  A glass barrier.

Patience is the key, I know it gets hard defending against people who have no idea what they are talking about, and the periodic troll barrage, but we need to kill these kids with kindness. Sometimes we even get allies and healthy rivals by doing this (GBGriffin and Epyon come to mind)

Yeah Kindness...Love and Tolerance for all <3

Agreed. I can't even force myself to pick one of the other endings. It's Destroy for me. Synthesis feels especially terrible because it's so incredibly lore-breaking.

Yeah.  Maybe the end sequence is the ME version of the "flash sideways".  And everyone is actually dead on their new Tropical Planet (aka the LOST Island).

EDIT: Just kidding.  Geez, I hope is doesn't go down like that.

Disagreeing is not trolling!

I think we NEED counter points of view to keep us in check (although I think that's handled pretty well internally)

I think that people who disagree and bring forth genuine discussion are treated pretty well here over all.

However, "you're wrong because you're wrong" isn't discussion.

Killing with kindness is almost always a good initial strategy. But if the mocking keeps coming, a line must drawn.

I honestly never thought this. I played the whole game planning on beating the reapers, and the other two options sounded stupid to me from the get go, so it was always Destroy for me.

Of course I got confused and failed to notice that there were paths on either side (I was too busy worrying if Liara was dead) so I ended up picking Synthesis first time, but not because I wanted to!

I've been on this forum since about page 1,000.  I have never told someone what to think or what to do.  My posts almost always include that it is my opinion or belief.

I don't appreciate being quoted as saying something I didn't.  Especially, when that quote then gets picked up by others.

This thread - in my opinion - is for discussing the points of IDT.  If someone can't discuss them in a reasonable and polite manner, then I think they should leave or at least be ignored.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of that extra long version of the soundtrack posted yesterday? The one with indoctrination as one of the final track names? Was that ever verified. I somehow seem to have missed the conclusion of that

i meant..the worst consequences since you basically f**k ip everything you've ben building up before (geth/quarian peace and so on)..of course for anybody who knows what the whole me series has been about..the other two choices sound even worse (takimg someone's free will...changing their dna without their inpit). But when star brat explains destroy..he basically tells.you, that everything you've been doing for the last 36 hours..was for nothing.
