i meant..the worst consequences since you basically f**k ip everything you've ben building up before (geth/quarian peace and so on)..of course for anybody who knows what the whole me series has been about..the other two choices sound even worse (takimg someone's free will...changing their dna without their inpit). But when star brat explains destroy..he basically tells.you, that everything you've been doing for the last 36 hours..was for nothing.

That's why Shepard should have just stabbed that stupid thing right in the face and said "Your choices suck!"

Then he should have jumped on the back of the Normandy and charged the Reapers with a sword in one hand and a gun in the other and won the war.

I absolutely LOVE "A future for the Krogan".. great moment amazing song

"Leaving Earth" gives me chills. Every time.

Have to agree. The Reaper horns just make this piece that much for immediate and powerful

Yeah, it was an easier decision for me - rather than replaying ME2 for the perfect everyone-survives playthrough, I kept my original save where Legion died after going through the ducts (I was going to redo the Suicide Mission to get everyone through alive, but I did the LotSB and Arrival DLCs after, so to redo the SM I'd have had to redo the whole game).

Long story short, Legion died in ME2 for me, so I had Legion-lite in ME3, which meant there was no geth/quarian peace. So the geth died. So the Destroy option wasn't so tough for me ^_^

That was something I really liked about ME2.  Squadmembers could die, Shepard could die or you could save everyone and get a "perfect" ending.

So conversely that's something I do not like about the ME3 ending.  In some cases the Reapers should win, in others Shepard stops them but dies, and in a "perfect" ending Shepard wins and lives.

I don't get that feeling right now...

Agreed. I can't even force myself to pick one of the other endings. It's Destroy for me. Synthesis feels especially terrible because it's so incredibly lore-breaking.

I don't consider it lore breaking one giving it some thought. I just look to Illusive Man or Saren who saw their own delusions of a perfect ending. All I end up with is Shepard is now a husk with a personality but under complete control of the Reapers.

Of course that is not the actual story Bioware set for us in the game but everytime I think it over I just tell myself, "This is wrong." Even if taking Bioware's design to heart, aside from the fact you're also forcing species out there not even involved to evolve based on your decision alone. This is destroying Freedom of choice for other species who cannot step up and say that they do not desire this.

It's also against what my Paragon Shepard stood for in ME2.

Have to agree. The Reaper horns just make this piece that much for immediate and powerful

the fleats arrive is also in my top 5.....

what about  the music from the trailer? "love and loss"

also does anyone know which  song is played when your taking down the reaper in rannoch? that was a good piece in-game.

I'm not sure but, the soundtrack is up on Spotify now if you want to peep it out. There is a track called Rannoch.

i have it but the "rannoch" one doesnt sound exaclty the same imo... i think sounds more like the "reaper chase"

eh, maybe the game itself made the music that much more epic.

Yeah that was the same thing I thought, with especially the Geth and Legion echoing in my mind. They fought to choose a future for themsleves, that is what they want and now I can strip away that choice in moment...as hard as it was i would rather risk their death than violate one of their fundamental beliefs.

And i did not beleive for a second this could end in any way but the total destruction of the Reapers.

Just gotta say - I LOVE your screenname.

I take it you know the character my name is taken from then ^_^

Oh and as for my favorite track, the one playing during Mordins sacrifice is my favorite, simply makes me cry. Think it is the one called "A future for the Krogan."

The one at the Space Battle at the end is also pure epicness.

All in all though nothing beats "Spectre Induction" and "From the Wreckage" from ME1.

The track on Rannoch when a Reaper shows up is Sovereign Theme from ME1 soundtrack.

Just noticed this, maybe a red herring, but the track "Indoctrinated" contains the whispers from the dreams :S

I figured as much. Marauder Shields was just too fishy.

Someone said that was the track playing during TIMs attempt to control Shepard. If so, the fact that it was tied in to the dreams using the whispers seems to maybe imply a connection.

Without indoctrination theory we have no hope.

Without hope we might as well be machines, programmed to do what we're told.

So I beat ME 3 for the 5th time last night. Ever since I beat it the second time and saw Shepard take a breath at the end I felt that Shepard's journey was not over. I heard about this theory and I felt that it was just fans trying to grasp at straws. Finally, I read this topic and I really like some of the ideas this theory has. Especially what the OP said about Crucible. I can see it as a test. It makes a lot of sense.

I'm playing through the game for the second time and with the IT firmly in the back of my mind causing me to see everything in a slightly different light. Forgive me if this has been mentioned somewhere else in this thread but, nearly 1800 pages is a lot to sift through.

Did anyone else notice the strange, almost decaying look to Shepard's hands throughout the game? He wears the stress of the 3 games on his face at all times but, I noticed how weird his hands looked in my first playthrough and wrote it off as just the way the character model was designed. Now it makes me think of a husk and the physical changes a human might go through if they were being indoctrinated slowly.

/shrug...just something I noticed and it is bugging me.

If one is assuming the dreams where part of the indoctrination process, then isn't it interesting the whispers are also present in the music during the one sequence we KNOW Shepard is under control/indoctrinated by TIM? (Or Harbinger, depending on your take)

Regardless of the tracks name, if it truly is the one playing during TIMs control over Shepard, and there actually are the same whispers from the dream sequences present, then it seems to be a pretty significant connection.

I'm going to have to check that out when I get off of work
