well.. I guess it could be there to show the constant Reaper influence throughout the entire game.. means there's always Harby in the background trying to indoctrinate him.. but I gotta admit that's a big stretch.. a shame, this could have been big
well, as I said, it's there in the boss fight with Kai Leng. And I just watched a complete Thessia walkthrough and it's there all the time. So.. yeah.. maybe it IS there all the time and we just didn't notice it.

It's used is almost all movies you watch in the cinema.
If you want to create a more dream like sequence with post filters, you use either white vignetting or a blurry vignetting.
And, dark vignetting is used by default in ME1 and ME2 throughout the games as well.

You mean literally? Ack. I know what you mean... I forget one damn dose of my SNRIs and the next day I'm almost a tenth as bad as the average Twilight fan. Hope they kick back in for you soon.
Actually, watch for it in the mission, the Reaper IFF is a physical item roughly the size of a VHS tape, going by comparison.
Well... yeah. Software is code. It's not a physical object, but it has to be stored on a physical object. Windows comes on a CD/DVD, but it isn't the optical media itself. The way Adams talks about how EDI has "a few million copies" of the Reaper IFF definitely indicates that it's software. Whatever Shepard picked up on the derelict Reaper is just the equivalent of a Windows disc. Except it contains malevolent code from an ancient alien horror--actually I guess it is the same.

Did anyone ever produce proof that EDI can step off the Normandy in Destroy? Last update I heard was that it hadnt happened yet.
For whatever it's worth, Jessica M... umm.. I can't remember how to spell her surname. Anyway, said that EDI does come out in destroy and it's not a bug. And I do stress the "for whatever it's worth" because of the constant mixed signals we get from BW. Still, they might screw with us on lore but it'd be the first time they screwed with us about what is and is not a bug.
Yes, the symbolism there is strong. =)
Ahh yes, "symbolism". We have verified that claim.

That scream definitely sounds hollow. Hell it doesn't even sound organic in nature.
Yeah. The ensuing discussion was focused on whether or not it was intended as a hint toward IT, just for dramatic effect, or even a QA mistake (I chuckled at that one).
Rannoch Reaper, what do you think about the weird scream?
Reaper: IT IS NOT A THING YOU CAN COMPREHEND.
... I should really stop asking that thing questions. The only one it was right about was when I asked him what the hell trigonometry is.
SS2Dante wrote...
Actually I always thought control looked more like a Reaper :S Got any screenshots of it? (especially when you're not on it's platform)
Some folks were speculating a while back that the destroy option looks strikingly similar to the tubes you have to shoot at the human Reaper. Or its spine? I forget. More symbolism.
As for your question about the control console:

And for giggles, take a look at the name they gave it in the data files. Yes, it's legit.

... Woah. So I'm going through some old crap I posted in the ME2 motivationals thread. You guys remember that hilarity right? This one is spooky accurate in retrospect:

Yeah Bioware, nice to tell us that the Control ending is the bad one. I guess you could have shown that in the game.. but I guess I'm not intellectual enough to understand your artistic integrity.

In the worst possible destroy ending, you literally see Terra get razed. As the crucible's beam destroys everything, all the lights in the cities it hits are gone, presumably because of their destruction. However, when you see the crucible again, try looking down on Terra again.
What do you see?
That's right. Lights.
You see the lights of the burned out cities that were actually destroyed mere seconds ago.
However, it could also just be a design oversight!

I still haven't gotten a satisfactory explanation for why Anderson's comm device suddenly goes crazy on the Citadel (when he apparently is closing in on the control panel).
We get static noise and then the link is gone.
Can we say that this is when Anderson started to get controlled?
But.. Illusive man was nowhere to be seen yet.
Actually.. what if they both REALLY made it to the Citadel and the control panel is the indoctrination thingy?
So until then it's legit and then all the weird stuff that follows is dream/hallucination/indoctrination.
I could live with that, I guess.

Bring your radio close to a computer, and you basically have your answer, also there is high level static discharge in those moving capacitors.

But the top comment of that vid is interesting and very right: If nobody survived the Normandy crash, why does the door open?

Can anyone pull the objects names from destroy and synthesis?, it would be interesting to see those file names.
If I remember correctly there is no particular object used in Synthesis, the beam is a generic re-used asset. And for Destroy the 'tube' object was either not found or only has a generic name, cant remember, need to check back home.

Also, not related but since this is the only thread I follow.. I read this somewhere: What do I need to edit in the savefile in order to make Ken and Gabby fall in love with each other? It was meant to be that way but aapparantly a bug prevented this? Would be glad if anyone points me to the relevant thread.
