Because if I did I was apparently being a huge dick that day, and I apologize.

I dont remember doing that, but I forget lots of stuff.

If I did do that, I probably just assumed you were a pro-ending troll, because thats generally where I see the "Shep deserves better fans" sig, but thats really no excuse for me to just write you off.

If you arent talking about me, and I'm apologizing for nothing, I'm still sorry, since I've probly done something similar to someone else at some point.

<3

Yup.

And: the shep deserves better fans sig for me is that I think the endings are great, just because they leave the possibility that I don't know what is real. That, FOR ME, is something very intriguing. I don't mind something having some flaws for the sake of confusing the player. I have my thoughts about that is most likely real and what is not, and other views differ, and that is in my opinion a good thing. The only thing that is bad about that are fans who aren't willing to participate in something like that and just demand that everything is delivered on a silver platter. I would really love it if they would only fix some minor stuff that can really only be guessed and that doesn't serve any purpose, like the crew appearing on the Normandy, but other than that it should be left open what is real.
I just guess it wouldn't matter much, as they have to decide it for the next ME game eventually as even if it's set thousands of years in the future it could be seen if synthesis was real.

My main problem with the ending is not that it leaves Indoctrination open as possibility either, it is the lack of an epilogue that gets to me.

What happened to the Krogan, did they find peace in the galaxy or a new war? What happened to little Mordin?
Or the Rachni?
Or my crew? Did they live a happy life?

Basicly how did my choices matter in those last 20 minutes.

My guess would be it was left open for the next ME game. I really hated the slideshow in DAO, especially while playing Awakening. The slideshow in DAO told me key points of what will happen in the future and it leaves no room for other decisions influencing them. It made my decisions bleak in Awakening, without it I would have really had to think "would I doom the world sooner or later if I allow the architect to live?" but as I knew more or less what was to come I was all like "uh why not, you won't adversely effect something for thousand years anyway".

And Mordin is either dead or studying shells :D

Because everything in the ending is explained throughout the game and makes sense.
Vendetta hints at the existence of starkid on Thessia.
TIM uses nanides to control Shepard and Anderson.
Starkid's logic makes sense.

But I also appreciate the Indoctrination Theory.

What?  Just, what?  How the frak does Star-Brat's logic make sense?  Did you let Legion die?  Because that could explain so much.  Also, how the heck did TIMMY get nanites into Shepard and Anderson?  Because I'm pretty sure they would have had to have been injected into them beforehand and I don't remember anything like that.

My biggest problem isn't with the end choices (there is an explanation other than space magic and IT that makes sense to me) but with one particular end scene: what the hell is the Normandy doing!?  That was ambiguous for absolutely no reason and an explanation for that is one of the things I really want to see in the extended cut.  That and I hope the endings are made a little less...identical

It bothers people so much, they need to make a new trope out of it.

Multi-Colored Explosion trope:
The phenomenon where a storyline gives the illusion of divergence but all outcomes are effectively the same, for all intents and purposes.

No I can't agree with you. I'm aware that vendetta introduces somehow the Starbrat, but it doesn't justify his presence. It comes very late (you could object that Sovereign too in ME1) breaks the narrative coherence and makes the REAPERS (the most fearful, powerful threat the galaxy ever experienced looking like toys).

And for the starkid's logic, I've posted a something about a few pages ago (it's just my opinion though)

So even if the IT is not true, than BioWare should work really hard on an alternative explanation, because they're going to get the backlash of their life. What happend till now, will be in comparison a light and gentle small diagreement....

Edit: If they go on with this logic in the DLC EC we will learn that the Starkid was controlled by another superior power... Guess who.

The created will always rebel against their creators.

Examples:
EDI and Cerberus
Geth and Quarians (only after Shepard's intervention they may or may not cooperate)
Teenagers and parents

whats actually sad is, that you have a greates enemy and (!) that you found him on an online forum about a video game ending theory. i dont think i have enemies at all. if you think of me that way, sad, but i dont think of any of you that way. even while still wanting to troll you guys, but enemies? cmon... arent we all fans of the same game? arent we all not sadisfied by the endings? (some more some less)

thanks for the anti cancer wishes, though. its probably nothing. luck is on my side. i dont want to jinx it though.

Part of what makes the ending so.......... well, bad, is that it raises more questions than it answers. The ending was supposed to be bittersweet, as in your not getting out of this one with all of you intact but it'll be worth it. Instead I'm forced to wonder in the destroy ending if I have inadvertantly killed the Quarians. The reason being that Shepard will die as s/he is partly synthetic. But the Quarians use implants in relation to their suits. Will they now die too? And the biotics who also have implants....... I may have wound up accidently frying poor Kaidens brains....... If only the Star kid had been a little more encompassing when he started going through the options. I'd have made a checklist.......

"So going destroy means the Reapers.....me..... and the Geth die".
"Yep".
"And Edi".
".........Whose Edi"?
"The Quarians too"?
"The whorians? I dunno, maybe".
"What about Kaiden. He's my LI so I'd like to leave him alive".
'Shrugs'
"Can you at least hint if galactic communication's will stay up. And Hospital life support? And........"
"Just jump in the fricken beam! I am a galactic god! I left Pong on pause for you"!

The pattern that VI talked about was bigger than the Reapers or the child. It's also very very much similar to either the Matrix, or Peter Pan/Battlestar Galactica ("All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.")
Especially Battlestar Galactica comes to mind when playing ME, because of the Organics vs Synthetics (Humans vs Cylons). The outcome was some sort of synthesis and destroy, the "good" human models went with the colonials while the "good" centurions went on their way alone. True Geth / Heretics come to mind here.
It especially resembles BSG where Leoben was interrogated by Kara and he said the players change, but the story remains the same, which is basically exactly what the VI said.

Yes but only because he's such an interesting and cool person.

the leech thingy. yes, maybe. but doesnt the leech thing only work if you are leeching from people who have to feed you in the end? like parents, relatives, social something.

i have never appliied for social services or anything. i even worked for free at my civil service place after i finished the duty part. they wanted to pay me, but i said, i wont work for money. so its not like im lazy or something.

oh, wait, not true. my parents adviced me to apply for "unemployement support" for 3 month so im covered by insurance until i start studying. i actually went to the unemployment offices but they gave me 12 forms to fill out, and i thought, well, i dont want to play world of warcraft that desperately. so i left and survived without insurance appearantly.
