Just a question. Nothing mean or anything.
Might i kindly induce you to leave this whole thing untill the DLC comes out? If not, please explain.

Maybe it's a good idea for everyone.

Just curious, but you seem to ignore half of my questions directed at you. This one has been posted more than once the last few pages.

that one i read, but i dont get it. what am i supposed to explain. please clarify.

you are asking me to leave (politely of course), and if i dont, i should explain. explain what? why i dont leave?

people are answering directly to my posts, just like you are, so i answer them. i rarely answer posts that arent addressed at me. really. sometime i actually want to comment something, but in the middle of it, i remember that there are probably more angles to it, which i dont see, cause i havent played the game 12 times or even as renegade once. also sometimes i just cant manage to build a sentence the way i like it to be. you know, ironic and funny. or annoying, as you would call it. so i just leave it be.

i hope thats what you wanted me to explain.

i actually left the first time i was here, cause someone called me troll out of the blue. but then a few days later i came back and someone actually posted hes glad to see me back here, cause he liked the points i made and he was afraid that the rude guy chased me off. i even got some personal messages from people saying i shouldnt take the inpolite posters serious.

so i figure even though some of you have nothing better to do than fight with me over whos a troll and who isnt, others just like to read the posts while contemplating about whether or not they should believe in the theory.

after awhile i of course gave up the arguing and just came in here asking if something has been proven and if you are still following the theory. that seemed to offend people the most, which i can actually understand. even though i didnt mean to offend anyone. but since ive been called a troll without reason the first time i came here, i dont see why i should be bothered by anyone calling me a troll now. its an over used word anyhow, so who cares?

now if you call someone else a troll while im here - that i dont care for. and since i liked getting defended by someone else, i have to defend my follow non believers as well, if they get teamed up on just for posting here. which then ends with everyone teaming up on me again, but i dont care, now im used to it and its just a online forum. you dont know me, i dont know you. who knows what kind of horrible troubles some of you have to deal with outside this thread.

oh, and i like to talk of course.

BUT YOU ADMIT YOU ARE GOING TO TROLL IF YOU'RE PROVEN RIGHT! YOU ARE TOTALLY DISINGENUOUS!

If someone threatens to harm you, should you remain civil until the crime is actually committed?
I'm not buying a damned thing coming out of your mouth.
You know what you're doing here, just because you bounce back and forth from antagonizing this thread to playing the innocent victim doesn't change anything. The regulars here know who and what you are.

You hate IDT and your disdain pours out from almost every post you make.

Maybe you really are delusional enough to think you aren't flaming, but you sir are a troll.

OK that's ENOUGH.  I've had enough of hate on this thread.  Can we all just CALM THE FRAK DOWN!?  Thank you!

Seriously? Same logic used in the school system I grew up in. Both kids get suspended for fighting, doesn't matter if some bully comes up and punches you and all you do is defend yourself. Don't even frakin try to paint me in the same light as waldstr. I'm not the one making provocative comments and insulting people for fun. Like he admits.

This thread had turned for the worse, and it sure isn't because of the regulars. Don't you find it curious that most of the users who contribute the most, the ones who have basically made this thread what it is, have the biggest problem with him?

But going forward, i'm going to take DJBares advice to me and just completely stay out of it

Excuse me?  I've been here for a while now, or at least, I like to think so.  Also, I think the best idea with waldstr18 is to just ignore him.  Don't feed the troll, as the line goes.  Look, I don't really like him either.  I don't hate him, I just don't like him.  But, I think we've gotten way too angry on this thread and we all need to take a step back and breathe.  Also, I'm not trying to paint you in the same light.  I understand that you are just responding to what he said.  However, there is a big difference between an insult and a punch.  The punch you have to respond to, the insult, not so much.  I just think we all need to calm down a little.

I am well aware of your contributions to this thread, I started reading this thread before we cracked 150. I have zero issue with you, just felt like I was getting labeled the same as he. I understand the whole don't feed the trolls concept, but I also feel that interacting with one on their civil posts and ignoring their troll posts is a little pointless and allows them to keep at it. If they're going to be ignored, then ignore them completely. Which is what I am going to try my absolute hardest to do, if only because it's causing me to get aggravated over an internet forum.

Hehe yeah, I don't think we'll ever come to an agreement on this topic and will only achieve large walls of text.  There are good and bad examples of forced change in history but...we'll have to agree to disagree. =]

Anderson blowing up the tubes is coherent...the irony I referred to was my mentioning him to *discourage* destroy haha.

And to address your last game point, peaceful coexistence with the Reapers pre-ending is definitely not going to happen. My belief was that, with synthesis, the justification they're been forced to adhere to is no longer valid and they won't feel the need to destroy us.  If they are in the same mindset as the geth, they won't attack unless they feel threatened, once the synthesis occurs.  And if they were indeed forced to follow such bizarre logic by a programming constraint, perhaps they can reveal what race created the cycle, why they did so, and where they are now.  But that's speculation for ME 4 and it's waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too early for that.

It is a shame that more anti-IT people can't have civil discussions.  I'm sure some ITers are guilty of this crime as well but its hard to see them in this thread where they are the ones being attacked.  Hell, its rare to see two non-ITers like us to have a civil discussion over ending ethics.  Kudos to you sir.

Sorry I missed your point... My bad :)

I know that peace won't last for ever. It's in the inherent nature of beings (let it be organics or synthetics)... But that's another story... I didn't express myself correctly : I meant the search for a peaceful coexistence between the different species...

Programming constraint... Maybe... For me the Starbrat (if even real) doesn't have something like that. Whatever were his limitations he has shakled them million years ago. It has to be something else... But nothing will justify his circular-logic :DD

I don't think we have to know everything about the Reapers, at least not the race who created them or from who they've evolved... They need some mystery, it enhances their threat... We fear most what we don't know :D

Mass Effect 4 is for me highly improbable. First off they have to fix the mess with the ending(s) be it IT (I would like it) or something else as solid... Furthermore the story has to be ended somewhere in time. A sequel (or a prequel) to Mass Effect ? I personally don't feel like playing this game without Shepard, just my opinion...

Same here :). Very pleased to have a nice and civil chat. Kudos to you too Sir :) !

OK, I didn't mean to upset you with my post.  I definitely don't think of you as a troll.  You strike me as a good guy.  I'm just saying that you don't HAVE to get angry in response to anger.  I'll admit, I have talked to waldstr18 even when he is in troll mode.  I should probably stop.  Actually, scratch that, I should DEFINITELY stop.  Unless he directly asks me something, I'll try not to actively engage in discussion.  Does that sound like it would work, or do you think the only way to deal with him is to cut him off completely?

Logic can be picked apart at any level, including but not limited to "one sentence of the child's statement". As I said, Logic is not something that is up for interpretation, its, at its core, a form of math that is either correct or incorrect. The mere fact that starbrat's logic is based on unverifiable assertions and unproven assumptions is grounds for writing off nearly every word that comes out of his mouth. His logic can be destroyed on any level, from his most basic postulations to his overall conclusions.

This. Oh God so very much this. I wish I could have summed it up so succinctly.

Ultimately, if we could even believe that the Catalyst believes what it said, then I see no other interpretation than that the Catalyst and the reapers are the very devils they claim to prevent.

Does anyone have an objection to this?

Well, it isn't listed under your profile picture....   TBH, I just think that everyone should punch her just once, even if you never do it again or go back to a save you made before hand so it doesn't matter.

I've beaten ME1 and ME2 ~30 times each and I've never once punched Khalisah.

Not even on my renegade characters.

Punching her is basically admitting I cant defend my ideas and choices without resorting to violence.

Shepard can justify her actions, and doing so without punching the reporter actually makes the reporter look worse.

I always thought the point of punching her was to convey that Shepard just doesn't give a frelling damn what people think, and is too busy to stand around getting brow-beaten when there's a Galaxy to save.

Even if we took out the fact that a woman having a crush on another woman is always the preferred state of crushes, Liara is a well written character, whereas Edward is a 100+ year old vampire who for some reason still goes to high school and falls in love with underage girls.

At least Liara isnt an immortal pervert.

also, like i said, i didnt find her annoying at all. you guys are just way too touchy. lighten up. enjoy your life. dont get mad at every little thing. and dont punch girls!

I think I understand why you're so lonely now....

im lonely? not at all. well, i dont have a girlfriend in the common sense at the moment, but i just came out of a relationship in which i was with 2 girls, who knew about each other. and! it wasnt even my idea. i just wanted a threesome, cause i had been offered one in the past, but i said no, cause im not into smokers, but now i had two healthy girls at hand. so my current girlfriend said, no trinity, but if i want, i can sleep with her. well, then i didnt want to take advantage of the other girl, and asked her if she wanted to be my girlfriend as well. that was awesome, actually. but i never had both of them at the same time... pitty.

oh, and they were both hot. one was a little shy, but the other one... oooh yeah.... when people saw us, the men noded at me, like i had won a price or something. that was awesome, i tell you. unfortunately the young one left me for a pretty boy. well, i could actually understand that, if she hadnt left me for him, i might have left her and turned gay.. thats how pretty he was. would have made a nice girl. i hate him. ... not really... still..

at the moment i have more like a sport relationship, if you get what i mean. im actually trying to get into another girls pants though, but shes really difficult about it. shes 25 but has the lady business of a 16 year old also shes into the whole religion thing, which raises the difficulty bar few notches as well.

Twilight sucks anyways. I don't see the hype with it. I understand the books.... but the films have the worst acting, screenplays and special effects. For a franchise that makes so much money.. they sure don't seem to mind hiring ****ty directors and writers.
