Twilight sucks anyways. I don't see the hype with it. I understand the books.... but the films have the worst acting, screenplays and special effects. For a franchise that makes so much money.. they sure don't seem to mind hiring ****ty directors and writers.
To be fair, it wont matter how good the directors you hire are, they arent going to be able to overcome Stephenie Meyer's atrocious writing and make a good movie.
the books werent THAT bad (oh god listen to me) the story wasnt great but the writing itself was ok....
I also read "the host" and i actually liked that one... up untill the the last third were the girl falls in love with a alien and it turns into another twilight (that writer doesnt seem to like human males does she?)
I can say this with the certainty of someone who DOES happen to know what good writing is, and can actually produce it, and I say this with all possible feeling, **** STEPHANIE MYER.
Her prose disgusts me, her use of simile and metaphor is pathetic, her main characters are vapid ****s, all of them, including and especially that abusive **** Edward, and the equally, emotionally abusive **** Bella, whom is quite simply one of the most disgusting, manipulative and unecessariyl cruel, vapid ****es I have ever seen in literature WHOM WAS INTENDED TO BE LIKEABLE.
She has no personality, no interesting traits, good OR bad, she is in a word a may sue, and goes perfectly hand-in-hand with her airheaded creepy boyfriends, whom have less personality than she does. Name ONE THING, ONE ****ING THING that Bella Swan and Edward Sullen (spelling intentional) share in common. In fact, NAME ONE THING EDWARD LIKES, other than playing baseball with his family.
What Stephanie Myer, whom does not deserve the title of author in my opinion, has written is a cheap, sleazy, badly written bodice-ripper harlequin romance, glorifying an abusive relationship, lacking in the ONE GOOD TRAIT OF HARLEQUIN ROMANCE (worthwhile sex and likeable characters). She writes fan-fiction abstinence smut for 14 year old girls to inject themselves into, writing a main character so empty and vapid that it's easy to overwhelm her persona, featuring a stalker boyfriend with as much personality as a ping pong ball.
I am an aspiring writer, and as such I know how hard it is to write a good story, I will spend time ripping apart what I have created, time and time again, re-writing it, re-thinking it and even then, I will look at it critically. Stephanie Myer feels she is perfect, and never has to worry about such, and her writing reflects her blase attitude.
So I say it again. **** Stephanie Myer.
Sorry for the tirade, but I ****ing dispise Twilight.
