Actually, I would instruct Arian to say "Indoctrinated presence detected. Activating security protocol." before hanging up.

Wow! So the Prothean VI can detect indoctrinated people. That's big news! Why would it not detect Shepard?

lol.. Liara has no personality whatsoever, plus her voice annoys the hell out of me.. I hate Tali more though. If I could I would kick them both off the ship and replace them by Miranda and Grunt.. I like Wrex more but he was cooler in ME1 tbh. Oh and I hate Ashley and Kaidan too.. ME2 squad was the best one IMO, plus EDI was actually an interesting character in that game unlike that horrible abomination she is in ME3.. and her ''romance'' with Joker freaks me out.

Liara has no personality but you want Miranda on your ship?

I dont even

Speaking of theories about what the Crucible might do, I had a theory. Well, not so much a theory. More what you'd call a fear. Because I'd omniloathe it if it was true.

Mass Effect often, very often uses tech based on real world theories about ways things might be possible. Such as quantum entanglers. There is one trope, one awful trope, that scientists have had crazy theories on the possibility of to. ... Time travel. :(

I'd feel better if we had a more solid plan, yknow like time travel, or teaching the Reapers to love.

I guess it all boils down to the fact that I'm not an ass man yet again.

That must be why I dont like Miranda.

I mentioned awhile back the issues I had with Liara too. She seems too perfect and bland. Relationships are supposed to consist of two people that balance each other out, complimenting each other's strengths and offsetting each other's weaknesses. Liara doesnt seem to exhibit any weaknesses or even demonstrate any personality traits that would keep her partner challenged and growing as an individual. That makes her pretty unappealing to me as a potential partner.

Also, watched the scene with the Prothean VI again, It states the Crucible is "Not sufficiently powerful" without the Catalyst, which is explicitly stated to be the Citadel itself. Also, note that the God Child himself is referred to as the Guardian, except where he himself calls himself the catalyst, and the subtitles say so. Nothing to back this up.

The Prothean VI also explicitly refers to Cerberus as "Indoctrinated Forces", as well as explaining why he didn't reveal the Catalyst to Shepard, citing that he was programmed not to until the Crucible neared completion.

Though he does specifically say "Security protocols have been overridden, I will comply." indicating there is some reason he SHOULDN'T be telling Shepard. Also claiming that it was feared that if the information fell into Reaper hands, then they would seize the Citadel

He also cites that the Citadel "enhances dark energy transmissions, and co-ordinates the Mass Relay network."

He also mentions the Reapers are "consolidating" power around the Catalyst (Citadel) meaning likely, they don't have complete control over the inside.

The Crucible is ALSO stated as being designed by organics, with the plans being adapted BY ORGANICS, whom according to his own testimony, couldn't have known about the Task Manager.

idk, I never really focused on Shep's hands. But hands in Bioware games have been looking weird recently. Hawke's hands in DA2 looked especially weird.

Idk, the hands in ME3 looked just wrong :( esp with these seams.

I think some people just confuse quality of ass with quality of personality.

Ah.. Well TBH I'm guessing that character development is usually a lot better if you romance him/her, and seeing as I never even came close to romancing Liara.. (ew), maybe that's why I don't find her to have much of a personality. I didn't play LotSB either.. I like Miranda's attitude, but to each it's own i guess. I do admit that I like Liara more in ME2&3 than in ME1. Less annoying.

I cited the idea in the past, basically claiming "What if instead it pulls a Prothean armada from the past?"

Liara is awesome in LotSB. You should play it sometime.

Her romance scene from LotSB is probably my favorite romance scene in the whole series.

Yeah, I agree. People say that Miranda has no personality but she's kinda like Jack in that she doesn't open up unless you romance her.. It's sad that her best possible scene in ME3 is the one where she dies.. It's whatever.

Basically we now have an explanation for why the Reapers didn't seize the Citadel, it was't worth their time to guard at that moment, and they didn't realize it could be a detriment, though I can discard the "Arms were already closed by the time the Reapers got there" theory, watch the scene, you see the arms sealing up completely after orbiting Earth. Doesn't rule out there being reisistance though, just they don't think that it is sufficiently worthy of wasting time on.

Sometimes I feel this should be the motto of our thread, because if you do not repeat your theories at least three times, they will most likely be ignored ;)

I do, however, remember your statement, but my thought was that time travel would make everything worse. Time travel always makes thing worse.

Quite true. LotSB added a lot to the quality of ME2. Also, Having replayed ME1 recently, I wish, Liara would have been more akin to her style in LotSB throughout the whole game.

I've seen a playthrough of it.. But I don't see how people find Liara.. Attractive? IDK, not really the word I'm looking for, as I'm not ''attracted'' to Miranda, a videogame character (even though Strahovski is pretty hot).. But even though it's just a game I don't get why you would go for the blue tentacle head lol.. Or chicks going for Garrus.. Just ew.

I don't recall him stating that. It's rather implied than stated, which is quite a difference. He states that the Crucible was added to throughout the cycles.
