And Shep drops his/her gun in Synthesis. And as I'd like to repost what I said before, in control and synthesis the ending runs on autopilot when you lock in the choice. In destroy you have to pull the trigger yourself to start the end sequence.
Probably not much, but may be indicative. Could be that Bioware still included the tail end of the "Shepard loses control to indoctrination" idea they supposedly scrapped.

I did all renegade persuasions once, and he shot me. Since then I always do paragon, since I know that works.
You cant skip TIM's dialogue, and it sucks having to wait through it all again.
I think maybe the final renegade persuade causes him to shoot you
Also watching the conversation with the Guardian again, you have nu gun in your hand until after the conversation, anyone here knows if you even get one if you only able to choose control?
Also comparing with some random YT video that seems to have low ems... it states "[...] even the Geth... and most technology you rely on." uh I never heard that second part.
Link? I'd like to see that.
Oh and if someone wonders why I call the child Guardian: the scene with the elevator seems to be called Guardian (after that follows Choice) and the model object is called HMM_ARM_GRD_MDL with GRD seemingly the abbreviation for Guardian (HMM seems to stand for Human, ARM for armor as it makes up the body, MDL is Model).
I wonder why they call it "Guardian" in the first place, hint maybe? ^^

There should be a renegade interrupt action if you picked all renegade dialogue, or at least the last one. He'll shove Anderson away and the interrupt is you shoot him before he shoots you. I do mean the reputation renegade dialogue, not the bottom right wheel options. I think the default choices (the white ones) end badly so far as that encounter goes but I've never had to use them.
They dont end badly. They just end with the "No! You're the one who failed!" line, forcing you to interrupt-kill him before he shoots Anderson, instead of getting him to kill himself or charge you in a fit of rage.
Yeah, there is a renegade interrupt after 4ish dialogue options. I actually like the renegade conversation better. It's more telling, I think.
Also, what's up with the Reaper growls during that conversation? There's no reapers anywhere nearby. Even in a literal interpretation where TIM has some crazy Reaper control upgrade (why didn't saren get that?), he isn't growling at you. It's one of those things that only makes sense with IT.

It doesn't have to, you are under Reaper control in that scene, even if you don't believe in IT. As said so often TIM is controlled by Reapers, TIM is controlling you, this ends up in the Reapers controlling you. No one can deny that. The only question is: is the next scene real or just a trick.Hawk227 wrote...

On thing i have been thinking about: why so many class A Reapers - including the most powerful - would abandon the defense of the Citadel just to kill a bunch of soldiers. I mean, Harbinger could have sent some powerful Reapers to stop Hammer team and foccuses on stoping the Conduit to reach the Citadel. I don't know if this fits in the IDT or was just some bad move of the Reapers.
I also wanna know what happened to the other Reapers.
You clearly see several of them breaking off from the battle above Earth to head down towards the beam, but only Harbinger actually lands at the beam.

It makes one wonder, with more EMS why leave that part out? Why would it be more willingly to sacrifice itself (as it's less convincing not to choose destroy without) when you got more EMS?balance5050 wrote...

We can say the Guardian lies, as it states it is the Catalyst but seemingly it isn't. This would only mean that the real Catalyst is Shep herself. Which would make some sense if we take into account that they planned having Javik as the Catalyst but cut him as he didn't fit into the rest of the story.

At least in the Destroy ending, you can see 2 Reapers - none of the is Harbinger - fighting in London before the Normandy scene.

I always found it odd that the Avenger has a stock, but none of the shotguns do.
Stocks are benefitial in the sense that they provide stability, (for accuracy), and aid in recoil dispersal, (which, in certain cases, are one and the same). Also, a properly placed cheek rest can increase aiming speed and overall accuracy shot-to-shot.
Certain modern shotguns, (such as the Mossberg 500), are commonly seen without stocks, however this format is only useful for concealability and extreme close-quarters work. In a more open environment, the stockless pattern is purely detramental, drastically reducing shot placement predictability and felt recoil. Weight savings are minimal.
The only reason I can think of that shotguns are stockless in ME is to appear "cool".

I just think the rush-ending-for-monet hypothesis doesn't fit. The game was set to release in November, so actually they had almost 4 months to think. And we saw that they delivered a great game, the problem was just the end.
Problem with that thought though.
They asked for 6 months.
They got 3.

Well I was gonna take a crappy pic with my phone, since I'm on xbox so I cant just take a screenshot, but then I moved too close to Anderson, and the chat with TIM started.
And it autosaves when you talk to TIM I believe, so I'd have to redo the entire Earth fight to get to it again.
And I hate the Earth fight. Worst part of the game.
