I say this is why;

Applying Aarian's law of conservation of details; Why would that mako-like thing be there on the citadel? Lazy Bioware would have saved time by not putting it there, as it happened, they put it on the exact place the overturned mako was before you entered the beam.

Thank you, I beat into your guys' heads enough someone listens, some of  you got it, but plenty seem to forget, always remember the law of conservation of detail, basically, IF SOMETHING IS NOT IMPORTANT, THEY WILL NOT SHOW IT. If something IS unimportant and they show it, they will show a reason WHY they showed it, even if it was unimportant, as a Red Herring to add dramatic tension.

That, and this being a videogame, meaning COMPUTER GENERATED, unlike a movie, there is NOTHING THERE THAT WAS NOT INTENDED TO BE, unless it is a very obvious bug, like the ghostly Keeper, which is a bug, but not the child-like scream or the infinite gun, which required effort on the part of the dev team to make.

Or like the kid playing outside the vent room.

Also, I know you people haave been saying it for quite some time, but I never personally noticed this until yesterday. the areas on your both sides before you enter the beam is filled with low-poly versions what looks like ashley and kaiden's bodies. Why would they do that? Lazy bioware could have easily used a soil or rock texture instead of putting those textures there. people would barely notice unless told by others or using a flycam..

I wish there was a better way of checking what happened in your previous saves. I mean, sure the list of what you did is more comprehensive than it was in ME2's import tool, but it still leaves out some stuff that'd be nice to know.

Anyhow, this is my long winded way of saying I chose a random ME2 char to import so all my ME3 imports wouldnt have the same name, and when I saw it was an old file and only had 11 chars survive the suicide mission, I figured it was just one of my pre-Kasumi saves.

Turned out it was actually one where Mordin died :crying:

Also, the entire Normandy crew including Chakwas died. It'd have been nice if they told you if the crew made it out or not.

Anyhow, on topic: have I missed anything since last night?

The only thing that pissed me off about the ME2 was Miranda dying. I had the romance for nothing? At least they gave me the opportunity to kill Kai Leng.

Which leads into another point. Bioware is acting suspiciously like the reapers no? Synthesize is best ending? All the direct contradicttions and half truths coming from Casey. Completley avoiding IT because it's "prescriptive" then immedietly saying things that allude to Shepard being on the Citadel and such. Still too odd, I'll either love them or hate them when my questions finally get answers I'm sure.

Wow just realised I am the same age as Lady Gaga my god she looks 10 years older then me. LOL i know random.

I know that feeling. I'm 24 but I still get carded no matter where I go. Even to movies on dates. it's embarassing. Bright side i keep my youthful good looks forever. My dad was 78 and he looked like the average 30 year old.

I look in my early 20's dont get asked for ID any more at clubs cant pass at 18 :P but she dose look like she in her 30's

When I first got Mass Effect (1), I was... 26 I think. Looked it too. They carded me. I just BSOD'd right there at the counter. "Wh--what?!" "We need to see a photo ID." "It... it's a video game, not a 6-pack of beer." Of course, the clerk thought it was as idiotic as I did and he was just doing his job. I was just floored that they carded for video games. I don't know how long they'd been doing it since I buy most games online.

Man... if I ever meet Jack Thompson, all the other guys in the holding cell will be very confused at why I'm so happy to be there.

Wait, he was 78 and he looked 30? You're Dorian Gray's kid, Golferguy?

Don't worry, with IT in mind, when standing in Liara's office I wondered what all this buzzing and strange voices were. Then I realised, it's from the Shadow Broker's terminal. So nothing special.

But Normandy DID get a lot of background noise from chit chat, foot steps and beeping from all around. Actually adds to the atmosphere but can also make you crazy, hehe.

Remember that guy a while back that proposed perhaps Glyph was much more than he seemed? I still think there might be some merit to that. It could be the indoctrination device. The strongest argument for it I think is simply that there was no good reason so far that Liara became the Shadow Broker. She got a free pass on any potential death through the first 2 games and there's no way to avoid her being in the crew in 3 as the Shadow Broker. Her being the Shadow Broker has to be important, but why?

Not saying it IS true. Most solid fan theories aren't. But it definitely makes sense.

This is my concern, a dragon age style text ending(which I didn't like in DA as it seemed a cheap way out) would be a tremendous slap in the face in the face of IT and non IT supports alike.

No, what was really a tremendous slap in the face is when the DA team blatantly retconned the text epilogues and then didn't even man up to admit it, instead claiming "we consider the epilogue slides to be rumors". Even though the ones that were actually just rumors were clearly labeled as such.

The endings at face value remind me of Penny Arcade's strip about Die Hard 4.

"This is... This is brain poison." Yes. Yes, Tycho, it is.

I disagree. I find it a hell of a coincidence that the only keeper, hell the only character in the entire series with no clipping is in the indoctrination acid trip.

I noticed something more. Unfortunately something that can again be dismissed as a bug, but I'll just give it a try (beware, this one reaches moon landing conspiracy levels):
The shadows of Anderson, TIM and Shepard. Look at this point of the vid:
1:27
It is a particularly interesting choice of camera position and angle since only see Anderson and TIM, we don't see Shepard here. Take note of where their resp. shadows are pointing to: In notably different directions.

Now look at Shepard's shadow:
2:37
It's pointing in the same direction as Anderson's. Also, at this moment we don't see the black webs that display indoctrinating processes.

And finally when TIM is dead, as Shepard approaches the console:
5:52

As a proof for the shadows' accuracy (since the game's shadows aren't the best ones to point exactly away from the light source):
Anderson and TIM standing both in the same line with respect to the central light source:
4:51
...still different directions.

So take this as you may. I thought it was worth mentioning, worth one or two speculations maybe on a Sunday.

Well, I'm not sure the shadows mean anything, but this image definitely show the shadows are off, TIM should be blocking the light that Anderson shadow is created from.

I really do like the idea that the whole of IDT is being used now as a big Alternate Reality Game, with Bioware acting as though they are the Reapers, forcing us, "Shepard:" to overcome our indoctrination by finding the clues in game in time for the EC.

I say it's just kind of like Ashley and Kaiden being promoted, it shows that the people from your old team are moving up in the world, and they didn't want newbie players to think there was going to be content about her becoming the Shadow Broker when it was already done in ME2.

Which childlike scream?

On Earth, when the shuttle is blown up with the child in it, if you have the music off, or turned down low, you can hear a single child scream once, far longer than he should be able to, especially through a sealed shuttle containing nearly 15 people.

It's also the only ambient sound playing at that point, anything else is music.

I noticed that. To me it sounded like a group of women.
