I hate to point this out, but the Ascension only had 10,000 people on it, not 20,000.

Dwalling, did you just get up? He was saying, judging by the age of the Leviathan of Dis, that the Reapers have reaped 20.000 cycles at least, not talking about the crew of the Destiny Ascension.

I did, in fact, read his whole post.  And yes, I did read about the Leviathan.  However, Rifneno did say that the Ascension had 20,000 people on it.  This was, regretably, incorrect.  So, being the lore obsessed fanatic that I am, I had to correct this grievous error. :)  And no, I didn't just wake up, I've been awake all day, not counting the requisite time for sleep.

Oh, passed over his mention of the Ascension, no wonder I was left wondering what it was you were smoking.

I don't smoke anything, it's not healthy.

Read my previous post.  Also, rejoice in the fact that the trolls have left us at least temporarily.

Edit: Also, how many humans does it take to activate a dormant mass relay?

625.

600 to turn it on, 24 to debate the politics and one to request a seat on the council afterward.

Nice, but no.  602.  600 to turn it on, one to ask the Asari for technical support, and one to petition for a Council seat afterwards.

Opps. Oh well, probably still quite a bit more than the ships lost saving the Ascension. Most of the losses were from fighting Sovereign which would've happened either way.

The Alliance lost 8 ships, each with a crew of 300 if you save the Council.  So, a total of 2,400 people are lost if you save the Council.  However, you ultimately end up with a total bonus of 25 war asset points (what's the technical name again?) if you save the Council.  Check the ME wiki for a recap of what you gain and lose based on which you choose to save.

Edit: I actually went and checked the wiki just now.  I'm not sure WHAT the overall effect is now.

Double Edit: Just reread the entry on the Destiny Ascension.  It looks like the ultimate bonus from saving the Ascension IS 25 points, as long as you manage to save Councilor Valern.

Triple Edit (I really need to stop doing this, don't I?): The final calculation for the benefit from saving the Destiny Ascension basically comes down to whether Thane/Kirrahe is alive to save the Councilor.  It sounds like if they aren't, you lose a fair chunk of points based on the loses to the Alliance war assets.  However, as long as the Councilor is saved, you're in the clear.

Another thing that really pissed me of: they didn't put the name of Zaeed in the memorial board on the Normandy.

I think kasumi's not mentioned either :@

Nor is Kelly.

Personally, I want an improved Normandy DLC. I want a DLC that finally cleans up the normandy and actually finishes refit and repair, I want a mod that opens up the old armory and lets me know what's there now, maye even one that gives us the old tech lab back in some form, more conversations and moments with the team, more for the memorial wall, maybe even old crewmembers from the Cerbeus crew, seeing Mess Sergeant Gardiner would be cool. A mod that actually lets us HAVE A ****ING GAME AT THE OTHERWISE UNUSED CARD TABLE.

Hell, I'd even pay for that.

Would want a Kelly Stripper outfit DLC :D
Also the table is used, but only when you kept Kaidan alive, there is a funny scene with him and Vega there.

So... with so little activity on the thread today, have we basically become the night watch?

I think Kelly is mentioned. Kasumi I don't know cause he didn't die in my save. But I agree that we had too few conversations.

In fact, I was expecting a longer game. I imagined sometihing like 60h with all the prority and side missions.

If I drank, I'd drink to that. Seems only a handful of people stay up this late.

Arian, I managed to find your revised script, just about done reading it, looks like potential ME ending canon to me..

Well, I think it will end up being just you and lex0r11, since I have to go to bed.  See you all later.  I probably won't see you all tommorrow, or if I do, it will only be for a brief moment to see if anything major had happened.  See you both later.  Good night.  (I'm from Kentucky, it's currently 13 past midnight where I am, so I should probably get to sleep.)

Edit: OK, looks like you two might have some others to keep you company.  Good.  BTW, Arian, I looked over your revised script.  I didn't read all of it, but I loved what I did.  BW should hire you.

I'm sure it's just a pipe dream, but a few people have suggested EC may not be as short as we expect, noting that there's strangely quite a few star clusters that the game has programed in but are never named let alone visited.  And they are taking an awful long time on EC.  Still, I doubt it because... well, I'm not what you'd call an optimist.  But the possibility is there.  I suppose.

Thanks man. And since I've thought about it, and am entirely too cowardly/cripplingly humble to do so myself, I wonder what would happen if someone sent a link to my script to Gamble.

Also, a theory. What if the way that Bioware is acting is nothing more than an alternate reality game?

claiming Synthesis as the best ending, the multiplayer events, Alliance News Network, the seperate timelines,

Acting like the bad guy?

Discuss!

Hard to say. This just might be what they really think, OR they're doing a good job of acting like it for the sake of a spoiler-free experience. But then again, this would seem an awful lot of trouble just to throw us a dose of awesome and shout "SURPRISE!"

So very true. This thing is getting to be like politics, where every mouthbreather that hasn't paid any attention to what's going on and knows only vague second-hand rumors that they overheard by accident thinks they're qualified to call the other side crazy or stupid on the mere basis of disagreeing with their biased, ill-informed opinion.

Maybe the Reapers are trying to wipe out organics because they tried reasoning with us.
