A. 10,000 is only 10 Krogan generations.

B. The other endings allow the genophage to be re-administered.

Did they ever actually give a rough estimate of the average krogan lifespan?

Or even tell us when Wrex was born?

According to what he said, he had been working as a merc for hire for the past 350 years prior to the timeline of the game. He was a mature Krogan even before this, seeing as to the size of his scar relative to the size of his head. Lastly, Battlemasters like Wrex tend to outlive their regular Krogan counterparts due to their powers. Wrex is anywhere between 400-800 years old by my estimates.

**** that noise, I'll do it right now.

Literalist MEANS you take the ending at face value. You don't like the implication that it implies, we get it. Get over it, "cult" also has a negative connotation, but the word accurately describes Christianity (formed around a charismatic leader, centering their worship primarily around him.) So get over connotations. Live up to your name and TAKE THE WORD FOR WHAT IT LITERALLY IS.

Yet the clear implication when someone uses the word "cult" is that it is a small group ( I wouldn't call 2 billion Christians worldwide small...). Cult isn't really a good word to use to describe something bid like Christianity, it can mean a group forming around the charismatic leader, BUT ALSO implies a small group). Using the word, "religion" is much more appropriate. On similar grounds I object to literalist

 Cult:

Noun:

A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
A relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.
A cult CAN be a small group but doesn't need to be.  organized religion can technically be categorized as a cult, particularly in abrahamic religions

EDIt: copy and paste isn't agreeing with me.

Oh hell no, I say go all out, list everyone by their affiliation (I only called Epyon a Indoctrinationist Cynic because he beleives IDT, but is constantly criticizing it in an attempt to trim off the more questionable evidence, while GBGriffin actually made good arguments against IDT, as well as spending his time making his side credible, therefore he is an Apologist.)

Then he is doing it correctly, it's called "falsifying", just as I say that the Final Hours apps disputes further IT because they had to drop it due to engine limitations and dialogue, but I'm happy to provide evidence it was the original intent by the developers.

Ah but the question is, what do you do when the engine limits you?

You go beyond the engine.

The guys at Bioware have already talked about how they play alot of D&D (and Pathfinder among other things) and how their campaigns inspired their worlds, now, if I was running a game featuring something like indoctrination, I know I wouldn't make it a mechanic that the player could quantify and make uninteresting.

I WOULD TRICK THE PLAYERS.

Basically the same as yours. Being able to present information with the impact intended is key. Putting too much or too little emphasis on something, (or establishing it in the wrong way), is a sign of poor directive and productive value.

Unfortunately, you talks reel gud, so ima keep ya 'round.

This is why I don't like 22nd Century weapons- too darn complicated. Energy cells, internal magnets that need calibrating, element zero charges, thermal clips, projectile blocks... bah!

*throws an energy cell on the ground*

You may wanna put that back in if you want the mass effect fields to work.

Anyway, any progress people?

Peh... fine, here's your Kinetic Barrier mainfraim back.

Oh, and you might wanna turn off that Thermal grenade in your pocket. The code is 337117

Let's have a look at the definitoin

--a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object:
--a relatively small group of people having
religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or as
imposing excessive control over members:
--a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular thing:

Mmm.. Wound up in the very definition of "cult" is small.

I don't think there is a succint word for my position I can think of now, sorry. Stick with literalist if you want for now

Where exactly did you get that definition?

Dictionary.com says:

1. a particular system of religious worship, especially with reference to its rites and ceremonies.
2.an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, especially as manifested by a body of admirers: the physical fitness cult.
3. the object of such devotion.
4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.
5. Sociology . a group having a sacred ideology and a set of rites centering around their sacred symbols.

Half of this forum has become irrelevant. I've been reading since page 5, and for a while there was some actual discussion.
Then Waldstr showed up, and people started dedicating MASSIVE post pyramids to stupid crap, when all anybody wants is indoctrination analysis.
Also, Arian Dynas contributes very little, and acts like some precocius English major. Sorry dude. Not cutting it.
Anybody that reads this forum just wants to read about indoc. theory. Someone just brought up when hallucination starts, and another brought up the Catalyst's eyes. Run with that, not these stupid thread trees.

Sincerely,
People who Read this Forum, but Barely Post. =D

The Krogan Rebellions happened around 700CE (
1883 CE, earth years ). It's implied that he was mature at this point because he bested his father in battle correct?

Here is my take on it, my "speculation"; the developers state in the Final Hours app they could not take control away from the player because it caused problems with dialogue, buuuut, what if instead they knock Shepard out, see where I'm going with this?, Shepard unconsious in a pile of rubble, everthing from this point on is a dream that's being influenced by outside stimuli, the battle and most importantly the Reapers, no more control problems for the developers, everything is now taking place inside Shepards mind.

It happens very often that we're sidetracked, because there are often large gaps between new evidence from time to time, so we start fighting trolls or plain simply go off-topic!

*looks at rounded object*

*presses button; the object begins to vibrate and hum*

I don't believe this is a grenade, Arian. Based on its shape, length and harmonic frequency... it's probably nothing a man should have any business with.

*throws object out the window*

*draws a vintage 10mm Automatic Glock and shoots the device, shattering it into peices*

Definetly not a grenade, although someone may be lonely tonight...

It was after the Rebellions, but since the fight was concerning the rebellion I assumed that Wrex fought in them as did his father.

Thread pyramid averted.

So your answer to insulting me is to basically claim that you only say what is necessary, and that I should not bother trying to refute you because it would cause something that you apparently find far more offensive than anyone else.

You apparently seem to think of yourself as some modern Diogenes, willfully saying what you will and cutting to the heart of the matter,

We're discussing a videogame, we're here to have fun. Get over yourself.
