The Reapers have prior knowledge of the Normandy and even with its stealth systems, they may still be able to track it no matter where it goes. The Reapers are technologically far more advanced than anything and every bit of tech, even the ships, are designed primarly based on Reaper technology.
Not say there isn't a slim chance they could elude the Reapers until they felt they were finished, but the thought is a stretch.
Well hell why didn't the Reapers just nom on it in full force when it was trying to escape Earth during the invasion? Or any of those times it was flying around Reaper-occupied space because Shepard got the itch to do fetch quests? Or any of the times it showed up in orbit around Reaper-occupied space to rescue somebody or so Shepard can find some kind of MacGuffin?
That's assuming the Reapers have complete free-will, which they've shown they don't. The Reapers work in a hive-mind mentality and have specific programming they don't seem to behave outside of, with the exception of Harbinger and its vendetta against Shepard and humans as a whole. Reapers are still partly organic and seem to be suffused with a organic conciousness that is controlled by their programming.
Yes it's a little strange that Harbinger itself didn't just chase the Normandy from one end of the galaxy to the other but the harvesting cycle was initiated as soon as Sovereign attempted to open up the Dark Space Relay on the Citadel, there was no stopping it. The Reapers, as a whole, were more concerened with just continuing their programmed parameters then chasing the Normandy, even Harbinger isn't completely free of that. They're still programmed machines and not capable of free thought with the Catalyst being their overlord/control.
That is all speculation however so I'm not saying you're wrong in your thinking, just putting out another perspective on the situation.

I kinda wanted an ending where shep and his 'mate' have a kid on the last fling and he/she is the next protagonist in me4 say 30 years later and shep can advise his kid as an aging old man.
Only issue is for gay sheps kinda hard to make a kid......
It's called adoption.
I was going to answer him like that, but still, he/she wouldn't have the genes of Shepard. He/she would just be a random kid that had a really awesome father/mother ( if you had a lesbian romance ) .

Why would the Illusive man force you to shoot Anderson but not able to stop you from shooting him? Also, oily shadows during this scene.
while this does hold true to what the rachni queen said just remember most of the rachni's inter-species relations are very cryptic. I'm not discrediting this whole indoctronation theory since it proves that if this wasn't bioware's plan all along then the fans are better at finishing a story then the people who made the game

Not everyone got that though. I didnt. And holy God if I had gotten that, I woulnd never have survived.
I don't think that's Garrus...it could definitely be a turian as there were turians on the ground too...but unless you have proof of other squadmates being dead its really hard to say for certain...
I actually just found the other picture!

i have a question? whenever they officially announce an extension and explanation to the ending, where do you think it will show up first? BSN forums? twitter?
I think it would be cooler of Bioware's part if they announced here before announcing on other places, since here is where most part of the discussion/speculation happens.

@JessicaMerizan ummm I can't help feel that I have wasted hours on ME1 & 2 is there going to be any updates or story DLC.
@CraigFKnights Craig, I'm surprised to hear this from you! What do you think about the recent interpretations of the endings?
She's actively... I won't say pushing our interps, but using them to at least give people some hope? At least that's how I read it...

I'll say that this theory kind of saved the game for me. Even if it turns out to be wrong, it's still a lot more satisfying than the actual ending.

Yeah, the turian looked sorta like he had Garrus' visor. I believe that is him. That's definitely Ash. Glad my assets were high enough to prevent their supposed 'deaths'.
This whole theory makes me want to sing Debbie Gibson's "Only in my dreams"!

That is not necessarely a bad thing.
After all people showed that they need to think before they express opinion, a distinct lack of during the first few days of people finishing the game.

Not one single alien body apears next to the beam if you have a high asset count - it's only humans.
I don't think most gamers willingly charged in with low enough assets to even see the "dead teammate" outcome, which would explain why few people know about it. Probably just the early let's-players that wanted to get to the end as fast as possible in order to upload. I think you only see them if you have the bare minimum.
It's a shame I can't find the video again - it's very clear that it's Ash and Garrus when you walk in close.

Isn't it a dream-indicator that you only see dead teammates during low war assets? It's against any logic, but would make sense if it's a dream:Pedpickle wrote...

I don't know if we really need those people here. The general opinion on the endings has stirred up enough to make BW care, I think.
If you check Wikipedia's page on ME3, it says:
"The game's different endings have been controversial with some fans." And this has quite a few citations.

EDIT: the fact that they're keeping quiet about this is a strong indicator, isn't it?

are those black things at the side of the screen when Shep is on the Citadel those "sour notes" the Rachni queen talked about? The "hushed notes"? it would make sense. It would also make sense that the dreams Shepard was having were the Reapers whispering to him/her.
they certainly look oily and fit the rachni queen's description of it but if I recall correctly the rachni queen couldn't be indoctronated we see her all cybernetic and reaper blue and everything but she says the machines could not control her so either the rachni somehow evolved to resist reaper indoctronation, she is in fact indoctronated, or she doesn't actually know what indoctronation is like but the oily shadows and hushed notes certainly fit the descrption of the dreams shepard has
