I confess I've not been reading this since page one however I read hundreds of pages with lots and lots of good theories and simply nitpicking, but all good reads. I read enough to know what the Indoctrination "theory" is (if it really can be called "theory" and instead is exactly what happened, a "fact" that I support) and some organized proof and study of it, if you want to call it.
However, I also read something about the Anti-Indoctrination theory, that somehow I understand it still involves indoctrination but the location of shepard is different. What I mean is, it seams Pro-IT: Shepard on Earth --- Anti-IT: Shepard in Citadel. Am I wrong? Did I miss something.
Could someone please link me both theories. Links to where they are a hot discussion. I know this thread IS it at some point, but I also know that there are some other links that were posted somewhere, if not, extern links, talking exactly about the difference between both. Thing is, it's hard for me to find even with search. I'll continue searching, but I leave the comment still for a possible quick response.
I'd be very grateful, cause it would be both entertaining and awesome to feel a little bit more the impact this controversy is in first person with an audience such as all of you ='D. I've got my motives to support my indoc theory, but I would feel like being redundant. Great night/day to all of ya!

Well, first the people who argue against the I.T. seem to forget the meaning of the word "theory" and start mindlessly hating on those who like and/or support it.
Second, which is in reference to the first, since the "theory" hasn't been proven or disproven yet it is a fun topic to discuss since there is enough evidence to both support it and to debunk it. Plus, since this is a sci-fi setting we're talking about the word "theory" fits very well.
As for the I.T. itself, even without Object Rho, Shep has been exposed to so many Reaper objects and indoctrinated enemies since ME1 that it makes for a compelling arguement. For what I mean by that reference ME2's codex on indoctrination.

Sorry to interrupt the celebrations, but I really have to say thank you to everyone. I've been lurking since page 687 or so, and this was the third thread I read after finishing Mass Effect 3. It... wasn't a pleasant feeling, to put it lightly. Just plain utter wrongness and a lot of things that stood out as very, very strange. The fact that this explained all of that, and has tied more things in since it started that I never even noticed, gave me hope. A lot of it. Now, even if Indoctrination Theory isn't true, the real ending won't hit as hard this time. Heck, they might somehow come up with a better explanation.

Oh. Side note so that this isn't pointless: About the "gunfire" shots from the end? The really quiet ones that were discussed earlier? I don't think the growl-esque sounds after them are echos or after effects. If they were, wouldn't they be after every grouping of "lightning arcs"? Or at least most of them. I noticed that the timing of them seemed rather erratic.

Thankyou for these. The blogger seems to have the exactly same reaction as me when he chose the destroy option. I even played ME3 from scratch, different imported save and all so I can read the codex better and check the kid, illusions and read the dialogues instead of just hearing. Actually, I'm still at it lol, but a first time was enough for some conclusion since I come from ME1.
About the board whining and b[DATA DELETED]ing, it's a shame.

I think you're thinking of that I.T. 2.0. Basically it says that you aren't dreaming but hallucinating a "waking" dream. Viewing things through the rose tinted glasses of indoctrination if you will. Makes less sense to me though because that would mean that the Shep Alive scene takes place on the citadel, which is illogical.

I think you're thinking of that I.T. 2.0. Basically it says that you aren't dreaming but hallucinating a "waking" dream. Viewing things through the rose tinted glasses of indoctrination if you will. Somebody posted pictures that show the starchild room having alot of similarities to the place before the beam where blue goes somewhere, green goes to the acutal citadel, and red goes to where harbinger was

I was shooting Harbinger in the face my entire run to the beam. Didnt accomplish much.

I've brought it up before, and I'm sure others have too. It is a very good point. The game seems to go out of its way to show you that the way TIM acts at the end goes completely against his character. Heck, they dont even play his music!
