I know i've heard that in the  Collector base  during some fights... no wait the Collector ship. No, maybe Horizan (ME2), and maybe some fight music in ME3 during ...side missions? Or maybe one of the squadmate side missions, I wanna say Jacob's but not entirely sure.

Hmm... question. Whom here agrees that the EC will likely be just a number of cutscenes to improve closure on a few things now, making indoctrination more obvious for those who missed it, and then capping off with a "To be continued in the Siege of Earth DLC, Follow the War effort on the ANN and join your recruiter today! Fight the good fight, the Galaxy is at War."

And if so, what do you think the fallout would be? Would you be satisfied to wait if IDT was confirmed and it meant a DLC that is basically an expansion pack worth of gameplay? Would you still play and buy single player DLC?

I would, but I'm curious to some of the reactions.

Honestly I think they should have just added "TO BE CONCLUDED" in a patch spelled out across the screen after the breath scene if that's the case. The fallout's probably going to be the same in any event, fans asking "WTF HAPPENS NEXT? IS IT FREE?!?" others shouting "I knew it!" into their monitors. I'm sure there will be pockets of disgruntled fans that will either wait until Bioware sends them an "I'm sorry" card or they'll continue "giving up on Bioware games forever." I'm hopeful that some of those fans/ex-fans will come back into the Bioware fold though, we probably won't hear much from them if they do but at least they'll be back gaming.

Of course it could end horribly with gamers hanging Bioware up as an example of what not to do for future generations of developers. But here's to being optimistic!

Eh, they'll try to crucify Bioware, but in the end, even though a literal ending would suck, it's not tne end, I can go on loving Bioware. Headcanon is a powerful thing.

No right now I am fairly certain IDT was their intent, but they expected to make a DLC, not have to grind out the EC in preperation. What DOES have me VERY worried is so many Anti-IDTers out there, and if enough of them take the survey, or people who never heard of it and just think it's us being a bunch of flakes, and Bioware decides "well 30% of our fanbase wants our original ending, but 70% think they're stupid, so let's go with the majority here and please our larger base." THEN I'll be worried. Until then, seeing some of the ideas they had, I'm being very optimistic and excited for Dragon Age III.

Ok, question, where in the beam run do can you  see Reaper cables? (I'm positive it's Reaper cable and NOT rebar, it's too tech-like, in the breath scene). I haven't been able to remember any before the Citadel dark corridor....are there cables on the beam itself? Must be, it's Reaper tech and that's like their thing they do with tech they throw cables about it.

I don't think you do see them.

My interpretation (others seem resistant to it) is that the cables are symbolic. Shepard never had his N7 tags either. The breath scene is the "tell" to the player about what happened. You see rubble and a mako, you know its london. You see N7 tags you know its Shepard. The next most conspicous object (read: therefore significant) is that cable. We've seen those cables repeatedly in situations associated with Indoctrination. The rachni queen is surrounded by them. Legion is hooked up to a bunch of them. We're supposed to associate those cables with indoctrination the way we associate those dog tags with shepard.

So the scene is telling us that Shepard woke up in london after overcoming an indoctrination attempt.

Actually, the breath scene could be one of two things.

Literal and meant to be as is, which there are no porblems with, because going by the promotional art of Hammer looked down the valley into the beam, you see Reaper Cables and broken concrete. And it's a not unreasonable assumption to make that Shepard, being a soldier and therefore required to, wearing his tags.

Or symbolic, and meant to be a placeholder until the final battle DLC that swaps it for an in engine cutscene where we see Shep wake up.

I don't think the two preclude eachother. I'm saying he really did wake up in that rubble, but just not to sweat the details of placing every object in that scene. Shepard did not have those N7 tags visibly on all game. I'm just saying those cables can be an equivalent symbolic nod to the player, in an otherwise literal scene.

I think it's important to look at this stuff from a storytelling perspective. I fear sometimes this thread gets lost in the minute details of placing every object and every sound neatly into place. Sometimes we get too bogged down in literal. At least, that's my opinion.

PS: What promotional art do you keep referencing? Can you link it for me?
PPS: If IT was confirmed, I wouldn't mind waiting longer. If IT is refuted and there isn't a rewrite of the whole catalyst scene out of the story, then I may be done with Bioware.

Someone mentioned a few pages ago abotu the significance of Big Ben, westminster palace clock tower, so got me thinking about the time that's on the clock tower during the endings.Do the times change depending on the ending wave? Could that hold some significance with numbers as far as release dates are concerned? If they do, do they still matter with this fan backlash and EC coming out, I'll be back when I check out some videos

EDIT: while I'm at it, does anyone know of anything significant about Big Ben that could possibley relate to ME3 aside from its location and it's a landmark/tourist attraction.

Appears to be 9:55 in all of the high EMS endings

I thought so too, either that or it's a close 11:45... So either September 55th or November 45th we should see some new content.......That was a joke -_-.

Get this door open.

Here they come!

It's played on the Collector Base, what the actual song is called however, is something I'm not sure. But it's a start.

I'd like to see a dlc to see what the consort gets up to since ME1. I've been replaying and her semi mystic, all knowing perspective has me feeling that she goes a bit underused. Heck, if we get a dlc to retake omega pop her in there I'd love to see the consort drive Aria to distraction.

can i jump in and ask a question?doesnt, that bioware writers try to defend the fact that the relays were not destroyed ,mean allready that the whole relay thing actually took place and therefore whatever happenend in the end was real?not to mention one of them already stated that we have to consider that people survived the reaper overtake of the citadel

It's possible that it's the Tali's Recruitment mission then, vs the Colossus.

BW are in full PR mode atm. And the writers are pretty far down the food chain of front line customer interaction.

I think they are also still contraacted to BW atm, judging from the BW panel at Pax East. Comments made there indicate the writers are busy at work with the new EC DLC. I'd love to hear from them too but as long as ME3 is under the creative control and production continues of ME dlc, I don't execpt to hear any official comment from them any time soon. Unless it's been agreed with the BW/EA public communication department.

I think they have the whole team working on the EC DLC though. Hopefully they can write us out of this fine mess you've gotten us into Mutley!

The last cut scene in the collector base (as Shep is escaping) has that same song, with some additional music laid over it.

That, while the best scene and track ever, isn't the same. That track is called "The End Run", and is based on the Illusive Man's theme.

Wow, you're right, the other video must've had other ME music edited instead, I should've double checked Posted Image

Sorry guys, that is it. Now that I know were it is I can try to find it Posted Image

Got it:

There's a channel that has every ME track ever, except this one. Very strange, but that was the source of my problem.

Thanks for the help guys Posted Image

I'm annoyed that the Reaper on Rannoch calls Harby Harbinger, I mean he seriously wouldn't be named that right Sovereign had a real name but the supposed leading Reaper doesn't?

Saren named that reaper "Sovereign", but Harbinger calls himself Harbinger.

I understood it in ME2 him saying he was the Harbinger of our destruction/salvation but to have an actual Reaper refer to him as Harbringer instead of an actual name annoys me. It lessened the reapers in my eyes they became mindless machines rather then sophisticated Synthetic/Organic hybrids.

As Joker would say "That's just my opinion though no reason to go spreading that around"

Because he is the Harbinger of the Reapers isn't he suppose to be one the oldest?
