Maybe, but it's also just as likely that they are simply waiting until the EC comes out to reveal the truth.

Me neither. please help me see the light!
Look up pareidolia for a reason why this is given credence
How can you deny that the trees are there when we have the FRAKKING texture maps for the reflections?
Look up denial for the reason he claims it lacks credence.

OMG, I just checked the game, that environment map IS used. Its the floor. You can see the trees reflected if you look carefully enough. I'm trying to get a screenshot that shows it. Its really really subtle. Think i'm going to have to highlight the required 'bits'Aurion56 wrote...
Hi all,
I've been trying to keep up with the rampant pace of this thread for the past few days, and I figured I'd contribute something I noticed when poking around in one of the PCC files earlier.

Whether this has been noticed before or not, it may not be damning evidence one way or another, but it at least provides something more to discuss. Which, let's face it, is all we can really do until whatever the embargo date Bioware has put up on any news has passed.
(Edit: removed HTML code that didn't seem to work. Feel free to link directly if you feel inclined!)
Ok, here we go, trees in the floor (click for fullsize image):
Reposting to help with seeing the trees.

Changing a bit the subject, but somebody has a clue of what is that planet the Normandy crashes?
I'm 99% sure that it's Zorya
There was also talk of it maybe being Aite. The planet from Overlord.
Also if anyone wants better quality get there or download the savegames I uploaded and just look at these spots ^^Dwailing wrote...

Made a short video where I move around a bit pointing on the trees. With movement their shapes can be much better distinguished from the ground texture.Rosewind wrote...

I did see something very vague in the ground in the video. Could you record it at a higher resolution? 480p would help, and 720p would probably be enough.
I just rewatched it. It's in 1080p now, and I'm pretty sure I saw at least one of the reflections. I couldn't quite place the one highlighted in green in the picture, but I definitely saw the red highlighted one. Or, it could be vice versa. Point is, I saw at least one of the tree reflections.

OK, I'm going to post the link to Jessica's exact words on the topic of the EC. http://twitter.com/#...120929086717952
And what about this....https://twitter.com/#!/JessicaMerizan/status/190117365311213569
Because they'd totally spoil anything.
First, she didn't have to say anything. Second, it is hypocritical for IT theorists to take words that seem to support IT from her as evidence of it but completely ignore her as a source when it contradicts IT
My point is, they'll say anything from the literal ending is.. well.. literal as to avoid spoilers. They're not going to tell you "Yep, definitely on Earth. Fooled you!" now are they?
Again, she didn't have to say anything...if BW want to release that information, that is their decision, even if it could possibly count as a "spoiler". From their point of view, if they are just going to continue the ending, they don't really care what wild theories the fans come up with, and to some, revealing anything at all, even the most minute details, would count as a spoiler. You only see it in a negative light because of your predisposition to IT, and that's fine

It was my first thought. Anyway, this have some importance on IT?

im done fighting you guys, but im still amazed by what you come with next.
but seriously, dont you think the reflections are a lot like jesus on toast?
BUT - Bioware wanted discussion and passion by it's fans regarding the endings.
Why would they want to spoil the IT theory early, even if they thought it was a crackpot theory?
They want people hanging on as long as possible and they're milking it for all it's worth.
I would guarantee that if I asked Jessica if the Space Hamster was the real catalyst she wouldn't give a definitive answer so as to never discount anything...
