Changing a bit the subject, but somebody has a clue of what is that planet the Normandy crashes?

I'm 99% sure that it's Zorya

There was also talk of it maybe being Aite. The planet from Overlord.

Yeah, that's what many people originally thought as well.  I don't think I've ever heard Zorya mentioned before, but like I said, it might be possible since it has a similar environment.

We determined a while back that it's a compilation of Zorya, Aite and Vermire.

BUT - Bioware wanted discussion and passion by it's fans regarding the endings.

Why would they want to spoil the IT theory early, even if they thought it was a crackpot theory?

They want people hanging on as long as possible and they're milking it for all it's worth.

I would guarantee that if I asked Jessica if the Space Hamster was the real catalyst she wouldn't give a definitive answer so as to never discount anything...

I can only provide the accurate comments. If you are willing to believe that she was beign "sarcastic" or "toying with us" , then I don't know why other comments by her aren't held under the same scrutiny. Well, I do know...

I totally take her comments for what they are.  Comments.  But that's me.  Jessica is not going to prove or disprove IT for me.  So I don't put stock in what she says one way or another.

OK, I'm going to post the link to Jessica's exact words on the topic of the EC. http://twitter.com/#...120929086717952

And what about this....https://twitter.com/#!/JessicaMerizan/status/190117365311213569

Because they'd totally spoil anything.

First, she didn't have to say anything. Second, it is hypocritical for IT theorists to take words that seem to support IT from her as evidence of it but completely ignore her as a source when it contradicts IT

The tweet you posted was before she saw the EC

Your point exactly?

Speaking of trees, everyone in this thread realizes there are trees present during the Conduit run before Harby hits you with the beam right?

Yes

i wont check any gamefiles. sorry, but im hardly as invested as you guys into all that. havent played mass effect in over 2 weeks now. and i dont feel like mounting my windows drive either. also no matter how much in game "evidence" you stack up, its still a game for the real world, so idt makes no sense to me, as most of you know.

Man Wald, you have good days and bad.

Today - not so much.

So my question to you is this:  If you care so little and are making "real world" comments, they why even bother coming to this forum to comment?  Don't you have "real world" stuff that is soooo much more important to do?

*EDIT   and if you won't look at the evidence they how can you debate it?     Maybe you should go into politics with that kind of thought-process.

but seriously, dont you think the reflections are a lot like jesus on toast?

Did you look at the pictures?  Did you see the trees?  Or did you refuse to see them?

The difference between code and toast is something really has to be coded for it to appear.  This isn't like a glitch happened to project the image of two trees onto the metal.

Yes, there are numerous occurances in life where something totally looks like something else, but only to some.

Jesus on toast for example or an oil stain in the parking lot that looks just like St. Barnabus.

But, for the same thing to happen visually in a game - to me - is far less likely.

Didn't you know:
Textures were created by men
They rebelled
They evolved
And now they show trees

:D seriously need to watch BSG again

Why won't she provide very good evidence either way? She is from BW, and I presume, like many other IT theorists, that when she says something which seems to support IT you pounce on it instantly. I wonder why the same isn't being done here?

when does IT start? Before or after the run?

I mentioned before that I now think it happens before- right after the shuttle crash. That scene is so abrupt, one moment there driving normally, the next there running down a blurry incline toward a beam. (This could also explain the pesense of the trees before getting hit) it is also the first time we see Anderson's gun.

Also I think we mentally envisioned harby, although he was somewhere nearby. Like maybe Shepard knew something was wrong and mentally added harby to give him a solid enemy. Opinions? I really recommend watching that scene again.

This is cool. With now wondering where it actually started, we have something new to discuss.

Funnily, assuming the hallucination to start before the run would explain not only the trees but also the deleted scene where we see our sqad being shot down by Harbinger.

here is the video for others..

at around ~2min in the she shuttle crashes, and everything is blurry, also there is no "is everybody ok?" and shepard shows zero concern for his fellow teamates.

Take this as advice only, but it's my opinion the whole indoc/dream sequence starts after harby's laser strikes, adding more stuff like this just thins out the concept.

who said anything about the real world being important? i said that mass effect was made for the real world and therefore isnt intended to lure out the brightest theorists but sadisfy the common gamer, who is by far not as smart as some guys here nor does he care enough to find all the little clues you are collecting.

oh, and why i am in here. i get a lot of real world ideas from you guys. believe it or not, if everything works out i have to buy all of you a big thank you basket.

Well, that makes sense, since the ending sequences are all a combination of things Shepard has seen before.  Also, for no apparent reason, I'm going to summon GBGriffin.  Honestly, he probably won't come, since he hasn't in a while.

SubAstris that's hardly fair. I'm sure lots of IT theorists are exactly as hypocritical as you state with regards to statements from Bioware but assuming Tirian Thorn is one for no reason seems rather harsh.
