That just makes it better.  I love the ManShep Raep Face.  Also, based on what I've heard from FemShep, I prefer ManShep.  However, I agree with Kyzee that each voice actor/actress has his/her own way of playing Shep.  Like I said before, for me, ManShep will always be Shep.  For you, FemShep will always be Shep.  No one Shep is better than any other Shep.  Male or female, Paragon or Renegade, we all love the same game and the same character.

Ugh.

Started a new game. Figured playing FemShep for a 12th time in a row would be too many FemSheps.

I already regret my decision to play MaleShep.

Cant freaking stand his 'acting'

THIS forever.

I thought the same thing about Mark Meer too at first.  but it turns out he's actually not a bad actor.  I mean he played that one guy in the Zaeed loyalty mission who was yelling at Shepard from the balcony and he definitely put effort into that voice over, and he also played the "Biotic God."  I think the problem he had when voiving Shepard was probably direction.  they expected him to play voice this macho, no nonsense soldier type most of the time and he adjusted his acting accordingly.  the fault seems to lie more with how Bio
ware wanted Meer to portray MaleShep then Meer's acting abilities IMO.

I saw a youtube comment earlier that I think summed up my feelings nicely.

"Meer acts like Shepard. Hale IS Shepard."

agreed.  Hale is definitely who I think of when I think of Shepard.  I was just arguing that Meer isn't a bad actor.  as an actor myself (sort of)  I believe the directions you are given for a scene or character can make or break a performance as much as a person's acting ability.

but again, Hale IS Shepard.  I'm sick of these constant white male heroes in movies, video games and pretty much any other form of media really.  It's good to see a female character save the galaxy and not be made into a sex object.

Indoc theorists, please reassure so that I don't get pissed off and hate Mass Effect for this. At PAX East, they were explaining to the fans why the Citadel wasn't completely destroyed? Doesn't that mean they are telling us indirectly that the ending wasn't a dream and that the IT was untrue?

Please provide a strong counterargument because this is pissing me off. I just refuse to accept this mess of an ending.

Considering we actually see the Citadel blow apart, unless IT is true they're pretty much just lying.

Wasn't at Pax east or see a video, but I'm not sure how you could say it wasn't totally destroyed given the cinematic.  Yeah, sure, there may be parts flying around that aren't totally on fire, but with that argument you could say the Normandy 1 wasn't 'totally destroyed' either.

If you make FemShep wear a dress you have only yourself to blame.

Thats like making Wrex wear a tuxedo and a tophat (my point is kind of lost here, because that would be ridiculously awesome), it just doesnt fit the character.

FemShep even says she doesnt like dresses on Kasumi's loyalty mission.

I should point out that, based on what I've seen, BroShep does do the Renegade lines better than FemShep.

Okay, okay; it's been fun, but really: let's not turn this into a Mark Meer vs. Jennifer Hale thread. They're both great, as Dwailing noted. Let's get back to IDT stuff.

And NOW I'm going to sleep! Stop keeping me up, damn it! Mom needs her rest!

The really badass ones, yes, they sound a bit acted from Hale, but imo she excells in the renegade/troll ones. Though I play about 85-90% paragon (often I just can't bring myself to choose the renegade option) so she's quite perfect.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned but we know EDI has reaper upgrades. These reaper upgrades is hardware. EDI is part of the normandy SR2. This means that the Normandy SR2 also has reaper upgrades. You are basically flying inside part reaper through ME2 and ME3. If that wouldn't indoctrinate Shepard, than what will.

Yup, and you also have the Reaper IFF installed by the end of ME2.  You also don't really know if you have reaper tech inside of you as part of your implants either.  This ties into Vega's "Anyone else hear that hum?" line, the thought that the whole time you're on the ship you're being indoctrinated.

What if the people that are loyal to Shepard are only loyal to him because they're also indoctrinated?  They would follow him to the ends of the earth, just like those that followed Saren.

Too little is known about raw Reaper tech is comment on its intrinsic ability to indoctrinate. Certainly, though, the hardware must be capable of producing, at the very least, sufficient levels of EMF, and perhaps infra- and ultrasound. There are also some hints that "controlled" indoctrination requires a direct link to a Reaper; without it, the victims appear to be driven mad or experience limited influence.

As to the IFF, this is an interesting note simply because it did not appear to work at all. As an "Identify: Friend or Foe" script, successful use should have resulted in all automated defenses ignoring the SR2. Yet, both the Oculi and Collectors are alerted to the Normandy. The SR2 would have to of been spotted manually to be beset, otherwise.

It is also interesting to note that numerous cables litter the Normandy after being reassembled by the Alliance. If they, or EDI, are related to Shepard's indoctrination is largely speculative, but nonetheless worth noting just in case.

It might be worth noting Cerberus could use the Omega-4 relay immediately after Shep kicked the crap out of the Collectors (you even see Cerberus vessels approach the base right after the debriefing when saving the base)

Well by the time they sent the Collector Ship after you, you'd already gotten within visual range of the base.

As for the Occuli, I just figured they were programmed to attack anything that wasnt the Collector Ship. Plus I think maintaining the IFF as well as basically running the entire ship with no crew was possibly putting some strain on EDI's systems. Its mentioned the IFF is super complicated to keep running in ME3. She needs like two million randomized encryption keys that evolve over time which she needs to keep track of for the IFF to work.

Or the IFF wasn't really an IFF, and really just a beacon that gives the signal for a Collector vessel to drop out of FTL right on top of you.

Epic, and I mean epic lol's at the literalists' reactions to the trees. While Waldo's furiously backpeddling antics were indeed hilarious, I doubt anything will top that time someone called him lonely and he started making up sex stories so ridiculous that Larry Flynt probably felt bad for him. That was just priceless.

Note in one of the logs TIM composes the crew and orders a good amount of red sand right with it. Just after hearing the older entry about red sand helping in indoctrination (before they found out adrenalin is much better)

You mean the Thessia Red 47? I'm pretty sure that was wine. Thessia Red being either the brand name or just red wine from Thessia, year '47. TIM's a big drinker. It's hard to make as many bad decisions as he does while you're sober.

Oh... oh dear. Either the troll was VERY clever, or he's for real and didn't get it. A "phoenix" race? A creature that died in flames and was reborn 500 years later? Goddamn Protheans. ... I doubt I need to remind anyone that "The Truth" claimed Protheans in MP too.

I don't remember phoenixes being fascists though. How slanderous to that poor bird. Have I mentioend lately that I hate Javik?

... Opps, looks like byne already beat me to the punch. Then again, I figured somebody would. "Phoenix = Prothean" isn't what you'd call subtle if you know like one sentence of mythology. I did not, however, catch the "From Ashes" references with Dou--Javik. Okay, let me add one. Phoenixes resurrect after 500 years. Add 2 0's. The Protheans were wiped out 50,000 years ago.

... JFC, people are still on the "Hale > Meer OMG" thing? /facepalm

The Citadel's basic structure has quantum shielding. It wouldn't know the difference between a fire ****** and the Tsar Bomb. The people on the surface of it would, but only for a very small fraction of a second before they were never are of anything ever again.

I leave everyone with this from the Days of Yore (otherwise known as 3 weeks ago):

Multiplayer question: would Elcor Soldiers be overpowered? imagine how many Heavy Weapons you fit on those walking tanks.
