So.  Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

My mom and my daughter are going to a concert.

So my son and I are going to meet my dad for something.  Maybe order pizza, cook on the grill or go out to dinner.

I hope it's nice Sat/Sun cause I need to get these kids outside.  At least out back on the trampoline, but I'd really like to go hiking and/or fishing.

And my son had a class trip to the Buffalo Museum of Sciene today.  He was so excited because we're members there and he couldn't wait to show his friends where all the cool stuff was.

Well, Renegades can save Wrex too, but yeah, Paragon is better.

Also, lex0r, I forgot to add this part, but it is non-negotiable:  Do Virmire last. Lead both Kaidan and Liara along until you are forced to choose. You will choose the 'Cant I have you both?' option.

Kaidan will get all pissy and you'll end up with Liara.

You will then leave Kaidan to die on Virmire. You offered him a threesome with two hot women, and he said no.

There is no recovering from a mistake like that.

A point i think we barely discussed is the Catalyst arguments and Shepard's silence in the Destroy explanation. In the consensus, the game show us that synthetics - the Geth - don't want war with organics, in fact was exactly the opposite. So, in this cycle, we saw that synthetics and organics can leave in harmony.

In the Protheans cycle we lack detais. But we do know that the Protheans, by Javik's descriptions, are much more intolerant than the Quarians or any other organic race.

Plus that the Geth had the opportunity to ally with the Reapers to wipe out organics, and the majority refused.

So, why, in the end, the game try to convince us with an idea exactly the opposite of the one they showed us earlier?

No, I would her byne to say how she knows this. Last time I remember, Merizan said she had destroy not based on IT, but I could be wrong

First off, I'm a male, not a female, but I guess my avatar could confuse you.

Second, while I dont recall the exact tweet where she said one of her saves was devoted to IT, I can at least direct you to this tweet.

She at the very least agrees with our explanation of godchild.

Edit: Apparently Dante found the tweet I was referencing. Nicely done!

Sorry, I thought you mentioned you were a man on

I don't think it is necessarily contradictory with her comments about Shep, although interesting. A lot of people like IT, as you know

Well, she didn't point to a specific interpretation that she liked, just pointing to a whole thread full of diverse opinions

I have a curious question which may get things somewhat back on track:

One of the big arguments I've heard against the theory being incorrect is that people simply don't consider BioWare clever or intelligent enough to implement all these clues and execute something this surreal. However, I'm actually playing Dragon Age: Origins again, and I'm kind of mesmerized at how intricate and well-thought the components of The Fade are -- a partitioned-from-reality, surreal, metaphorical playground -- and how they tie into the story proper. I'm especially talking about the big sequence in the Circle of Magi involving the deeply-layered labyrinth of nightmares that the characters have to navigate.

Question being: Though it involves two writing houses, both Mass Effect and Dragon Age come out of the same creative wheelhouse and involve similar creative channels. Therefore, do you consider The Fade to be viable-enough as a counterpoint to that argument?

I also don't get it with this whole "Bioware isn't smart enough" stuff.

What about KOTOR? Did anyone ever see that plot twist coming? Did anyone actually see the evidence that came before as actual evidence? No, they didn't, because all the evidence that alludes to you being Revan is so subtle, yet it makes so much sense at the same time after the big reveal!

Also, KOTOR was directed by Casey Hudson, who as we all know came up with the Mass Effect series, so no one should say that he's just incompetent!

Admittedly, from memory, it actually said that you were Revan at the end, slightly different

Yes, it is a plot twist, but IDT would be a much larger one.

Using KOTOR as an example shows that Bioware has made plot twists before and has produced incredible games that have been highly regarded.  To me, this shows that they are not incompetant bumbling baboons.

And therefore more prone to mistakes, and more unlikely that a developer would dare to do such a thing. I'm not saying they are baboons they just messed up the ending, that's all, the plot from ME2 has not been the most coherent

How is a developer that has made several quality games MORE likely to make a major mistake?  Hubris maybe?

And yes, I am keeping mind Everquest vs. Everquest 2.

More likely to make a mistake if they have a more convoluted plot than a standard plot twist, yes

Wait, Sub, you're not making sense. You're saying that IT did NOT happen, so why are you arguing that it was IT that caused all the weird stuff to happen?

Maybe you are misunderstanding me. I am not saying weird stuff happened, well weird stuff that supports IT

You're deluded. that's all.

You keep on saying that the evidence against IT is overwhelming, but in over 2000 pages, we have seen nothing of the sort.

So I ask you, since you're apparently such a huge supporter of level-headed discussion: Wher is your evidence? Where is this so-called "Overwhelming mountain of evidence" that you keep referring to? Show it to us!

Show that you actually are what you claim to be: A supporter of level-headed discussion.

She's saying as a fan she likes it and has made an entire playthrough that has IDT as a theme.  That quote in itself isn't contradictory to IDT, but it doesn't prove it.

That tweet is pro-IT from a fans prospective.  (her being Jessica, but as a fan)

This is why I don't put any stock in what she says - either for or against.  She's PR and while she does have contact with the devs, I'm sure she'd get in trouble if she confirmed or denied IT at this point.

EC will hopefully clear everything up.  One way or another.  But the ending needs to be clear, concise and logical or I think a lot of loyal customers will not support Bioware in the future.

And by clear, concise & logical I don't mean that it has to be Indoctrination Theory.

It contradicts itself, by positing IT to be both real and unreal at the same time. Vague statements, unhelpful.

EDIT - nevermind the notion that she either doesn't know the "true" ending like us, or that she's under the same NDA as everyone else.
