7. No fighting or flame wars. There is no place for fighting and flaming others on these message boards. Disagreeing with other Community members is acceptable and understood, but actively fighting and/or flaming will not be tolerated. Topics that are designed to start a flame war (defined as abrasive and/or offensive argument that serves no purpose but to make people mad) or posts made that are discourteous and/or hostile to other Community members or the discussion at hand will be treated as Spam and deleted without warning. If someone acts in a hostile manner to you or to others, DO NOT engage a person or persons who is fighting. Contact staff or a volunteer moderator and let them handle the issue. What is considered fighting or flaming is up to the discretion of staff and volunteer moderators. A person or persons found to fight with or flame others may be banned from these forums at the discretion of the staff.

For reference as to what is an offense resulting in being banned in re: flame wars, ignoring posters, etc.

Wait, Sub, you're not making sense. You're saying that IT did NOT happen, so why are you arguing that it was IT that caused all the weird stuff to happen?

Maybe you are misunderstanding me. I am not saying weird stuff happened, well weird stuff that supports IT

But you were saying that the big plot twistiness of it would make it more difficult to make and so it would be glitchier...was this just hypothetical? :S  Confused.

Those who take the bait are as much to blame as those who cast the bait

Whoever thinks they can win a fight on a forum?, seriously, all you succeed in doing is flooding the thread, the moderators will eventually say enough is enough and close the thread.

Indeed, so let us all get back to speculating!

Any new theories on Major Coates that I may have missed, by any chance?

There's a new theory some ways back that Coates might have once been alive (such as in the Big Ben trailers) but is now just a Reaper-induced hallucination in Anderson and Shepard's heads. He never directly speaks to your crewmates or anyone else except Anderson and Shepard, your crewmates never acknowledge his existence or look at him, and the only time he ever talks to other soldiers ( his team) is over a radio. He may be just Reaper BS like Reaper Beiber all over again, only more subtle (as if Harbinger/The Reapers got better at performing the mindscrew). Also there is another electric warning sign over his head in the shuttle.

Admittedly the only monkeywrench thrown into the cogs of this theory is that their subordinates should relieve them from duty for PTSD or some kind of mental breakdown if they noticed they were hallucinating a Brit who isn't there.

OK, finally sat down and read up on the current collective of the IT as summarized in the OP. It makes me proud to be a fan of this series. The IT has taken every WTF moment in the trilogy to the point of making perfect sense, even if there are variations in the details for different people. I feel a little ashamed about how outraged I was at the ending - now feeling as though I was just looking at it superficially and plain old not getting it. Although, the general idea of IT had crossed my mind amongst a billion other things.

But I won't hold myself entirely to blame. I think Bioware flubbed on making the resolution of the story a little too ambiguous, and I still have to wonder if IT (or whatever they may call it) is actually their original intention. Maybe it's a good thing to get the devotees thinking on this level to piece everything together, but the final product seems to have blown up in their faces a l'il bit.

Anyway, thanks to everyone - all my fellow fans, for coming together to crack this code... or perhaps to evolve the theory on your own? It's taken what was a very sour taste in my mouth and turned it into exhilaration at the prospect of it all. I won't get my expectations up too much, although they were very high for Bioware before ME3 came out, they dropped considerably lower after I finished the game (but I just blamed EA anyway lol). What I expect from the ending expansion DLC one of three things:
1) That everything that has been pieced together here is in fact what was intended and the ending will be artfully and creatively resolved (even if we find out after the fact that BW picked up on the theories developed here rather than it being their own... I'd be ok with that), or...
2) They come up with something absolutely amazing that no one ever imagined here or elsewhere, but hits it out of the park nonetheless (at least for all the ending haters), or...
3) (This is why I have an expectation cap) They completely bomb it, confuse everyone even more and just give us some weird extended cinematic epilogue that expands on the assets you had during the war.

The 3rd option would certainly be in stark contrast to the 1st and 2nd. Before looking at IT, I was feeling like BW and EA were giving the fans very little credit and underestimating us. After looking at IT, I feel like I was in fact underestimating BW by a long shot. So, if the 3rd option is the case, I will go under hypnosis and have any memory of it erased from my mind and have the IT put in it's place.

I still have my qualms about other issues that I still hold EA accountable for - Mostly that the EMS system is flawed for SP-only folks and that there are all these iOS exclusives (also unfair for the what I would think is the majority of players). The massive departure of character textures in ME3 that makes pretty much everyone's custom Shep look unrecognizable still stings too, but I'm pretty confident that the EMS system will be fixed and that along with a resolved/tangible explanation as to what they mean by the ending would make the game epic for me. I've been indoctrinated by the IT.

Just one day left and already 2038 pages, you kidding me ? I've missed (by far) the 2k....

Anyway congratulations to everyone here and a special thanks to Arian for his credits-list !
I see also also that the thread is under heavy Anti-IT attack (including a big tr..)

I like the possibilty that Coates could be a mole. This could be something big if proven true (same with Anderson, which could explain the red/renegade color for the destroy option and the blue/parangon for TIM... Just kidding) .
Nevertheless I personally don't think that he's a product of Shep's/Anderson's hallucination. As Anderson was explaning the plan to take out the destroyer, he specifically gave Coates the task to lead the artillery/tanks (not sure).. If Coates wasn't real and Anderson just hallucinating, I think the others would have noticed it...
