Yknow, this talk about the First Contact War reminds me: it was a shame Ash and Victus were never on the Normandy at the same time.

Victus fought during the First Contact War, I bet he would have had some interesting things to say about Ash's grandfather.

Nah as long as later I can have my dudes in your base, killing you dudes... it's fine :3

We already know what it was.

They just started randomly throwing nukes through the relays hoping to ruin someone's day.

The cynical ones would say it was a necessary evil since the humans didn't know much about the other races, their intentions and military potential. But still reckless...

@MegumiAzusa
You're completely true but there is still a difference between finding the prothean ruins and getting bombed by an alien Fleet :D

Just in case any people try to argue that the blurs during the TIM convo aren't indoctrination blurs

http://postimage.org...4m3bvrsxh/full/

I don't believe that a lot of people don't think those aren't indoc' blurs. Most people who don't believe IT is true think that it is TIM who is using his newly-founded powers to partly control Shep and Anderson

Um...minor quibble here maybe, but it's labelled "Reaper indoc", not TIM indoc. I'm fine with the literalist view that TIM is being used to transmit indoc signals (as indoc victims are stated to do) but not that it's TIM himself causing those blurry lines.

May have misunderstood you of course :P

Of course, TIM is using Reaper tech. It is the Reaper tech, not TIM himself which is causing the indoctrination IMO

So you're okay with TIM's Reaper Tech causing indoctrination, but not ACTUAL Reaper Tech....

Your logic is flawed.

No, this is a strawman of my position. Of course Reaper tech can indoctrinate, I just saw very little evidence for in-game outside the ending of it actually doing so.

Hmm, let me get this straight. You're fine with believing that TIM's Reaper implants can indoctrinate and control someone, with very little evidence for it? But you find IT unlikely despite all the possible evidence we discovered?

If you romance her you can get her to change her anti-alien attitude a bit.

In one playthrough I took her and Liara to the final fight against Saren, and Liara was all "You should totally let the Council die, you need to protect the human fleet!" and Ash was all "No! You need to save the Council!"

Needless to say I was quite surprised.

Plus, I prefer interesting racist to bland Carth Onasi 2: Electric Boogaloo any day.

She's not so much "anti-alien" as she is "human-first" in fact she hates anti alien groups like Cerberus and the Terra Firma Party.

She's not comfortable around aliens, she'll be the first to admit that, but neither was Pressley, she was just a bit more verbal about it.

Yeah, but I think its also based on the specific squadmates you bring as well. I've never once heard Wrex tell me to save the council and had Liara tell me to let them die, and those are the two I usually bring

Sure, TIM also said he wasn't anti alien but human first, not easy to distinguish. She ****ed a bit too often against the alien squadmates so I would say she is only human first, by that is my personal impression of her.

Yeah, one day we're in a happy discussion about in-game evidence, the next day we're back to Twitter-quotes. I like the in-game discussions. They actually help us. A good way to strengthen a theory is failing to disprove it. Well, maybe tomorrow.

I agree. The Twitter quotes are getting old. I think the only time we can start believing Twitter again is when the EC is out.

Dont forget that its entirely possible for Ash to sacrifice herself to protect the council members she is protecting, two of which are aliens, and one of which is Udina.

She hates Udina, so I doubt she did it solely to protect him

Also funny thing how these people when talking about the trees first say it's just sloppy work, then when presented with the pictures they either ignore them or say "it's surely a leftover because it was rushed"... yeah that's why it got 3 versions alone and it's never mentioned why it would be there in the first place.

it's funny that they say we are in denial, when we're examining the game meticulously. They practically ignore it in favor of cop-outs like " Bioware is lazy."

Ok, I think I'm gonna go now. Slow day for me. Took me until half an hour ago to get up to date, including the almost flamewar, that I mostly just skimmed. And right now I have nothing to add to the discussions. So good night!

She's just basically of the opinion that every species in the galaxy is out to look out for their own, they'll help out others if it benefits them, and there are genuinely kind exceptions, but on average, Humanity has to look out for itself, because lord knows, no one is going to for us.

Wierd question, and political I know, but does this mean Ashley is a Conservative and Kaiden is a Liberal or will those terms even apply in the twenty-second century?

Kaiden's paragon and Ashley's renegade.

Hell I dunno. The terms will probably change meaning by then.

Yeah it was just a thought. Ashley is religious and has kind of a Tex personality. That's all I was basing the question on.
