I don't say it is proof of anything, I just thought it was in reference to my paragde nature and pargon people would have it different. Just like many lines said by other characters are different depending on your orientation.

You people just don't get it. The entire galaxy was turned into the reaper's farm a long long time ago. They stashed their tech every where. Everyone uses it every day. The relays, the citadel, it's all reaper tech. Everyone is indoctrinated. The entire simplistic paragon/renegade morality system is reaper indoctrination. Everyone is set up to travel along the paths that the reapers choose, whether they know it, like it, or not.

Try disproving that!

What exactly are we meant to be disproving in your argument?

Ha!  You're stumped!  Don't know where to begin!

Or you just have not explained yourself sufficiently. Just because you make some vague claims doesn't mean we're dull-witted. It means your statements and intent weren't very clear.

 Where was I for this?

I thought because I persued a renegade path than my heart was "beset with wickedness". Do paragon sheps get the same lines? Thats very weird then..

Yeah I had a primarily paragon but paragrade Shep ( That admiral got punched HARD for great justice and I sent the f*cker off my ship. I also killed the batarian mechanic in ME2 on Omega) and I still had this dialogue. It can be interpreted different ways. He definitely means dealing with the Reapers is a test and Shepard's mind and heart must be protected by his goddess. So sad that he never got to see Shepard's victory.

Hehehe I didn't choose the renegade option for that convo for the admiral till the 3rd play through, lets just say I was delighted by it

haha my hands were twitching for it, took it as soon as I saw the red flasing mouse on my screen. And i felt good...

Hmm, let me get this straight. You're fine with believing that TIM's Reaper implants can indoctrinate and control someone, with very little evidence for it? But you find IT unlikely despite all the possible evidence we discovered?

In all honesty, I don't want to get into a slugging match with you saying "there's lots of evidence for IT" and me saying," there isn't very much at all". It's unproductive. But to answer your point, we know that TIM with Cerberus have been studying the effects of indoctrination. We know that TIM has implants, which are strongly implied to be of Reaper design. We don't know there actual capability until we seen them in action during the Shephard/Anderson/TIM scene, where they appear to have the ability to partly control, even indoctrinate others (which is not strange considering that Reaper tech is know for its indoctrinating properties). Therefore, there really isn't a massive leap in logic that has to be applied IMO

I didn't say that, I was quoteing the guy talking to you and talking to him underneath that quote. He was saying that. Don't be trigger happy.

I've changed it now

I agree that it made me mentally raise a brow and when I got to the Catalyst chamber, I thought back to it and it made my choice more clear. That's just my anecdotal evidence though.

Paragons get the same lines...but this does not hint towards indoctrination in the slightest
Only crazy people think a religious prayer is proof of the illuminati and this is no different.

Bloo, you are forgetting that this is a story and each line and scene is crafted by somebody conciously. In the real world, things happen randomly for no purpose, but in a story every scene and every line is designed that way purposefully. Therefore, this isn't Jerry Fallwell making a prayer for rain. This is a character in a story making a statement purposely written by somebody to be signifigant.

You're falling into the same trap literalists fall into when they say we are religious and conspiracy nuts.

Can I make this very clear, that although there is a conscious effort behind everything for a certain reason, that does not necessarily imply that it is for the reason IT theorists provided, just to make clear.

Obviously. I am saying this is not our objective reality where there is no higher purpose guiding our actions (if you want to believe that, it's your right but I don't agree with it), but in a story everything is crafted and built like a house. Sometimes there will be extra nails or windows that are in eccentric places, but the house is still a house, constructed with each room serving a purpose.

The Reapers are smart to say the least they leave behind a few devices for people to find so they get indoctrinated studying such an interesting artifact. The citadel and mass relays don't indoctrinate they were designed to be found by organic races which then believe they were left behind by the race that came before them.
Assuming the Reapers get their sentience from the intelligence of the processed organics if the citadel and the mass relays were to indoctrinate by the time the Reapers invaded everyone would be a brain dead meat puppet meaning that the Reapers would probably be no smarter than an advanced VI.
tl;dr if the citadel and mass relays indoctrinated we'd know it.

The thing is the random ocurences like the kid surviving a laser thats good. TIM's sudden shift in character? Interesting. Shepard's eyes in the control/synthesis ending? Too strange to pass up.

A prayer from a dying already known to be religious character? important to the character not the IT.

At this rate we'll be looking at the Tuchanka or Rannoch missions and think Shepard's punching of the admiral was the Reaper influence trying to corrupt him into flying the normandy into the sun.

You are thinking of gross, obvious, indoctrination, not the suble well placed, well timed, kind.

And, they didn't leave behind a few peices.  They leave behind a lot of tech.  The fact that it is light years ahead of anything anybody has by the time they find it means that people spend time researching ways to use it and interface with it, extend onto it, than ways to replace it.  Then, the reapers turn it off and everybody is left behind.

Collectors gave the Terminus Systems an edge by trading technology for members of various species. That's how Harbinger is able to comment on their genetic value. And that's how the Terminus Systems ended up as "competition" to the Council Space over ages.

Me or the other guy?
I'm pro IT, anti zealot. I think and hope IT is correct but kinda wish both sides of the spectrum would stop trying to murder people with the opinion riddled tweets or twisting things to fit the IT. Sure there are some things that may need a little shaping to fit with the IT but it usually makes sense. That thing with Thane's dying prayer is foolish and desperate IMO.
