I have a question:
If IT was actually implemented in the game, and the real ending was only available after you picked Destroy (this is presuming the ending is not DLC but in the game from the start), do you think people would be pissed that only one choice was correct or would everybody be mindblown and applauding BioWare?
I personally think it would be the latter, but I'm curious to hear others' opinions on this.

If you mean only Destroy would get an ending that made sense... some would applaud it, mostly the people who picked it.

Why do people always argue/assume that indoc theory is bad because it would "make destroy the only valid opti.... "

You know what, nevermind. I completely understand the reason why in a forum so full of people that jump to conclusions at the drop of a hat.

No evidence or anything, I just think she has the lowest resolve.

No offense friend, have you been here the last 1000 pages? Honest question.

Far longer than that.

We've wobbled off and on topic like nothing else in this damn thread. It's like one long, confused ADD conversation.

Yeah, I'm just being lazy at the moment. I've got like 73 unread messages to go through before updating it.

Isn't that what you just did? I'm a supporter of IT. But it all comes down to how well they'd implement it. The way our universe works, indoctrination wouldn't automatically be pure awesomeness in the game just because we want it to be.

Yknow, for things that claim to be all about preserving organic life, the Reapers really dont try very hard.

An example from the planet Vana:

Vana description...

A large rock planet, Vana is covered in prodigious amounts of dry ice, leaving only thin traces of gas for its atmosphere. Uranium deposits drew batarian miners to Vana long ago, and when that was exhausted, they moved on to its magnesium. The Reapers have exterminated the colony here, punching holes in the domed cities and leaving its occupants to asphyxiate.

I like how apparently the Reapers didnt even turn them into Cannibals, they just poked holes in their city and left, presumably laughing evilly.

Shepard- Very Possible
Liara- Not Likely; just a character with a malleable personality
Garrus- Not Likely
Tali- Intoxicated, not indoctrinated
Ash/Kaiden- Not likely, but would be a darn improvement of them hawking Shepard about Cerberus.
EDI- Not likely, but the Reaper IFF did not function as expected; unknown "full" functionality.
Javik- Emotionally cold, yet. Indoctrinated, not likely
Vega- Brain necessary for indoctrination
Space Hamster- Indoctrinated

Heck, I'd say all of them are at least partially indoctrinated.  They've been on the Normandy, and they have been exposed to the Reapers like Shepard.  Not as much, but still.

I just found something interesting.

The Prothean artifact on Eletania gives you a vision of your ancestor and I noticed that a bunch of what is said in the text sounds very Reaper like. The only thing that doesn't add up is the "silver" part about them but the "great eye" on the underbelly, the "glowing red orb" and the "finger of red" all sound awful Reaper like

I'M SPECULATING AS HARD AS I CAN MAC

No bashing my bro Vega!  He's surprisingly awesome.  Also, I like Ashley, so don't say anything about her either.  Actually, go ahead, say whatever you want.  We have freedom of speech for a reason.

Ohoho if you've seen what we've seen, you'd know that only something as awful as twilight will get this thread locked.

Even that didnt get the thread locked though, just got a mod to tell us to cut the crap.

It took the mods something like 20hrs and a dozen-plus pages to close the Fornax thread. Taking a page or two to "get the giggles out" won't likely bother them after 2k pages.

I quoted you/that other guy, but that commentary wasn't directed at you. It was directed at the line of thinking for those that say "Indoc theory is false/bad because it would make destroy the 'only' option to end the game". It's a silly, baseless assumption. I just used the quote as a jumping point, and I guess I should have clarified that further.

Actually, Vega is a staple in my squad. Ash, on the other hand, has left a chip on my shoulder after hounding me about Cerberus. I usually have Vega/EDI then Vega/Tali. Garrus at times will replace him, as needed.

And free speech is being systematically erased throughout the world in favor of "political correctness" and the notion that "freedom from" is better than "freedom of", as well as a skewed notion of fairness through radical egalitarianism.

OK, as a passionate liberal, I'll pretend you didn't say that last bit. :)  Also, I think I'm going to end this before it begins by saying we'll agree to disagree.

Edit: That was refering to your comment about egalitarianism, BTW.

2077 is the nuclear apocalypse?  Really?

Edit: OK, that's when it took place in Fallout.
