Another hint at something IT-related.
When ordering Shepard to the Mars Archives, Hackett states that they've been searching them with Liara and found something. But when Shepard arrives in the facility, Liara is surprised that Hackett ordered him to go there.

It's suspicious that Hackett survives the initial attack and does not report back to Earth, just to pop up on the comm screen after Shepard leaves Earth.

Shepard is supposed to be grounded on earth, awaiting court marshal. Isn't that the cause of surprise?

I don't understand your second point? He's the leader, having him on Earth would be madness.

By reporting back I meant sending info.

And Liara asks "Why'd he order you here?". So she's rather surprised about the order than about seeing Shepard.

That's interesting, I'd assumed Liara was briefed by Hackett.

I started a topic regarding Hackett, it might be a good idea to pay more attention to him, especially since he is the one overseeing the construction of the crucible which I believe is of reaper design, like I said in my topic, we are forced into giving the crucible a reaper heart, this is not a war asset the player can avoid.

If you're saying that Hackett is indoctrinated perhaps you should rethink that as I don't believe there is a single instance of him being anywhere near a Reaper artifact until priority: Earth

So? It was pretty quick with different characters too.

We've never seen indoctrination work that fast...maybe once in TIM's case (back before Cerberus) but no other time

Do we have the name of this specific asset? is it 'dream tree' or 'London tree'? Does this asset appear in any of the dreams?

He is stationed at Acturus station which was destroyed by reapers, Andersons asks in the beginning of the game "Why have we not heard from Admiral Hackett?"

Yeah, Hackett and Coats both seem kinda shifty to me.

On the Admiral Anderson: I worked on a free commercial game and I now work on a commercial game and I can tell you this when it comes to subtitles. They will be automated. If they were automated for me on a free commercial game, then so too will they be automated for Bioware. So, the question is, why manually change the subtitles at the last minute? Why take that extra step and add on extra work unless you were trying to convey something?

I did see the large tree on my recent playthrough when I turned the camera in that direction. Unfortunately, the bushes weren't there.

There were other bushes in the area though.

I think it's silly the lengths we've had to go to prove an opinion we shouldn't have to prove. We're not going into every other thread telling people they NEED to believe IT but yet people are constantly coming in here telling us why we're delusional for believing what we want.

What's evidence for one may not be for another, but the majority of people here believe the evidence is substantial and we should leave it at that. We don't need to "prove" anything.

Nah, debunked by paxxton. Apparently he's admiral anderson at the missile batteries briefly.

The game speaks for itself. Mass Effect 3 itself supports the IT theory. You are right. We don't have to prove anything.

Well.... I guess maybe then they were toggling with the idea of using Admiral Anderson instead of Anderson.  I don't know.

I'd say Hackett was behaving quite normally, accept one major thing, he is a military man with a grounding in science, it makes no sense that he would sanction a device that he has no knowledge of, in fact he is way too eager to get it done.

Hackett: We cannot defeat the reapers conventionally, the crucible is our only hope.

How does he know it's our only hope when he does not even know what it does?

It is funny.  That does sound a lot like what the Reapers would say and what Starchild was saying.

Agreed. I don't know why literalists think we owe it to them to prove anything. I don't give a damn what somebody I've never met believes.

You know, I could buy Hackett being indoctrinated. He's the leader of the Alliance after all.

I don't think it's possible though, because if he was, the Reapers would probably stop him from producing the Crucible, or at the very least doing some sort of sabotage for the Earth counterattack.. but who knows, maybe there's a bigger picture here.

How am I supposed to show you something like that?, it's a case of fitting the pieces together, your not supposed to know they are indoctrinated, that's why they are referred as sleeper agents.

This is one piece, when question about the plan to get the crucible to the citadel Hackett is adamant that no matter the cost it must be done www.youtube.com/watch

The fact that he is both a military man AND a scientist, he should not even be sactioning the use of a device they have no knowledge of, even in desperate times.
