If that were the case why wouldn't they do that at the very beginning when the fans were already angry.

It's a choice, ruin the story with a major spoiler or calm the crowd, but look at the fan base, despite the anger we are still here, if Bioware decided to withhold such a major spoiler, then they did the right thing.

The ashley and kaiden textures you see after you get hit by the beam are very weird. Why would they do that? they could have easily used a generic soil or rock texture, no one would have complained.

EDIT: I think I also saw jenkin's face among them. Anybody else noticed or is it just me?

Again, this quote only makes sense from an IT PoV- if IT is not real, there is nothing to speculate on. Unless one cares to claim that they're doing a double-bluff- putting in clues to IT, only to reveal that (gasp!) everything is exactly as it appeared! But if you assume Bioware is smart enough to do that, then you have to assume they're smart enough to pull off IT- in which case, why all the denials that IT is true, when it makes sense and literalism does not?

I didn't notice the face and I don't htink with that level of detail you'd be able to tell without zooming in or something. It is Very odd they'd use those 2 armor textures though, ashley and kaiden's default from ME1, they could have easily used plain white or black armor or even the alliance issue armor you see on soldiers during the battle.

Thats excatly my point. Lazy Bioware could have easily used the generic armour textures or just plain ground textures; with the way harby was blasting off soldiers its unlikely they would bunch up at places like that.

I used flycam to see the faces.

I see a lot of people throw out the term Lazy with the endings, what I find funny is that if things turn out the way we think they turn out (eitehr with Indoctrination or something else) then the endings we got are tprobably gonna be the most complicated endings gamers ever go through.

Edit: so this would make "lazy" bioware into "artistic" bioware pretty quickly.

Are they?

Speculation : a. Contemplation or consideration of a subject; meditation.
b. A conclusion, opinion, or theory reached by conjecture.
c. Reasoning based on inconclusive evidence; conjecture or supposition.
Note: speculation is not criticizing, arguing, complaining, or nerdrage.

If the ending is meant to be taken at face value, what is there to speculate? Whether the relays went supernova or not? Well, apparently they just "overloaded" so speculation solved. Whether synthesis is good? Well it's portrayed as good (after all EDI and Joker cuddle). What happens next? Well, the victory fleet slowly flies home to palaven, thessia, tuchanka, and rannoch over a period of a couple years. Speculation done.

"Speculation" pretty strongly implies that things are not as they seem

I don't read if I don't have to and when I do read on my own free will I do so via a summary on the wikis.

I believe Evolution is the one with TIM before Cerberus and he comes into contact with some hardcore Reaper indoctrination machine. We were talking about how Cerberus might have been an idea carried over as a Reaper plan.

Don't question it the more you think about your speculations the more they hurt.:wizard:

But yeah to be serious bioware is being far too quite about the whole thing. Still may be PR tactics.

that would give away that me4 with shepard was coming....and the whole marketing campaign about this being the last of shepard's story in a trilogy would be flushed right down the toliet....they gotta get some more money outta this game first, then they will spill the beans

I was keeping it brief, to maintain the soul of wit, but fine.

My freind, that's like going to a church and asking if anyone has read the bible, you'll have some holdouts who haven't had the time, but you can be assured someone can direct you to the right material.

Well, I could clarify and say that I was simply pointing out that a large majority of American Christians havent actually read the Bible, and just listen to what their pastor tells them about the Bible, but I dont want to start another religious debate, so I wont.

Even though I think I just did.

aight, i didnt read this whole thread, just came to the last page to put my 2cents:

i do believe in the IT theory...they've hinted at it in the game and in real life....

in game:

1. the kid - shepard was the only one that saw the kid....reason being the kid was a ploy by the reapers to get shepard on thier side...humans have a soft spot for children, reapers would know this, they're an advanced being....which explains why the godlike figure trying to get you to work with the reapers at the end was the same kid...

2. the ending choice colors/explainations by the kid - the colors for good/bad choices were switched...destroy, which was the good choice, was colored red...and the kid made it seem that was the worst choice you could make....while it was the opposite for control and synthesis....

3. Indoctrination. - looking at the indoctrination def and the symptoms associated with it, shepard was experiencing this throughout the whole game: the growling noises, the nightmares, headaches, etc...the kid's reaction to whatever choice you made represented the reaper's reaction...if you picked destroy, he disappeared instantly, meaning they knew they failed...the other choices, he lingered around meaning they knew they succeeded....

4. extra scene - it showed that shepard never left earth to get on the crucible and that he was alive....which means the whole thing on the crucible wasnt real, and in his head...

real life:

1 bioware staff - they've been quiet about all this for the most part, except 1 important thing: telling us to keep our saves....why would we need to keep our saves if this was the last game?...they could, but i doubt they're gonna release major dlc for this game that our saves would be important for...our saves are for the next game....

...i think they started out and intended this to be the last game, but EA and them realized killing this cash cow now wouldnt be best for business....the problem was though they had spent so much on marketing already about this being the last game, they couldnt change that....so they just stuck with that marketing scheme, while knowing it wasnt true...and are gonna announce me4 with shepard still fighting the reapers...but now, there has been a turning point in the war, cause the reapers couldnt indoctrinate shepard, and it scares them...

I find it ironic IT is being compared to religion when ITers are the ones who are skeptical that Shepard was actually talking to God...
