Quick youtube video showing all the sounds from the dream sequences - skip to ~30 seconds from the end for one very interesting one in particular from the final dream:
"biod_nor_110tour.wwise_norhub_dreams.env_nor_dream_3_reaper_noises"
So now we even have confirmed Reaper noises in the dreams (not that i ever doubted that after I took of the music during the second dream sequence)
Are people still gonna claim there is no Indoctrination going on in regards to those dreams?

The ambient track, the one that plays as soon as you get close to the child. It also plays during the endingMaximizedAction wrote...

Erm, something actually relevant I've noticed...
The ambient music that overlays the end of the final dream when you see shepard and the child burning is the same music that's played at the end for the choice.
The soundtracks leaving Earth, dreams and the rgb sequences are all based on Mansell's "Leaving Earth".
Or did you mean an ambient track BESIDE the soundtrack music?

I think they just want us on MP so that we are distracted and put the crap that was the ending in the back of our minds.
But I NEVER play online MP, so I'll never forget or forgive the ending. Especially the fact that they force MP on you in order to get over 4000 EMS. What BS.

During my latest IT-doubt-ful days I came up with the non-IT explaination:
In a time of a galactic invasion from the Reapers you don't need to be indoctrinated to have their most characteristic growl and read light in your dream. Shep knows how they sound without them reminding him in his dreams through indoc.
On the other hand, the oily shadows and weirdly moving background trees do seem out of context, hence speak for something other than Shep's experience, hence for IT.
But that of course doesn't change that the ending is still probably only in Shep's mind.

So one of the things that bugged me about the demo was the lack of music in the opening quasi-tutorial level. Mostly you hear strange whistling noises and the Reapers blowing up Vancouver. I expected this to be fixed in the main game, but instead I found that it was left there.
And then I got to thninking about those strange whistling noises. Ignore the Reaper horns for a moment. Try to ignore Anderson's voice and the sound effects from Reaper energy weapons. Focus on the weird stuff in the audio. Memorize it.
Now tell me you can't hear it again here as part of the beam noise.
I know I could be fooling myself with this one, but I can't quite be sure.
No replies? Shameless bump.

Seeing as Bioware/EA can collect stats regarding our classes and saves and the like, perhaps there is a masive experiment to see which ending we go for before we know that we can have any further effect on the story?
This is exactly what I thought after I finished the game for the first time and learnt about IT.
It'd be very interesting to get to know those stats.

I guess I was a little overdramatic...Didn't mean to sound like it was an apocalyptic act by Bioware.
Lets say I will think twice before buying a Bioware product from now on. Carefully reading 'real user' reviews before ponying up any money.

"The blights are my solution. To chaos. Demons will always possess mortals. But we found a way to stop that from happening. A way to restore order for the next cycle. We harvest mortal civilizations, leaving others alone. Just like we left Ferelden alone the last time we were here. We helped them ascend, so they can make way for new life, storing the old life in darkspawn form. Without us to stop it, demons will destroy all mortals. We've created the blights so that never happens. That's the solution."bigstig wrote...

I had a dream quite a while ago, which was basically about Reapers invading the Dragon Age world. o.O Of course in the dream it was rather weird, but then I thought "this could actually be pretty amazing"
Well remember that in the Kasumi DLC Donovan had a statue of an ogre from DA:2, it was an Easter egg for fans but you could use it to tie the franchises together after all the reaper/Protheans did conduct experiments on Early earth. SSandel used a power similar to stasis that is never seen again. Also mages could become abonimations and o the
bidding of the demon while still in human form, sounds similar to indoctrination no?
What about the Overlord? Anyway there are people who just want to watch the world burn. But they tend to be flipping insane.Rifneno wrote...

Hmm, I have to say I feel quite the opposite. I'd like to think that TIM really did just have humanity's best interests at heart from the beginning, but that his extreme ambition was easily manipulated by the Reapers.
Of course he did. <Godwin's law> So did Hitler. </Godwin's law> Thing is, what a sick monster perceives as a good thing isn't generally what a person with a conscience would call a good thing. Very few people, no matter how much of a horrible abomination they are, see themselves as evil.
And no, Joker fans, he doesn't count. Batman's Joker I mean, not the galaxy's best pilot. The Joker is an especially unrealistic character even by the standards of the company that gave us Superman. I feel that has to be said because whenever this topic comic comes up, someone inevitably tries to retort with that "watching the world burn" quote in the monumentally mistaken idea that it's insightful.
I... didn't see what the deal was with the Primeval Thaig. Then again maybe I was just glad to see a unique environment after that whole act of sanding down Kirkwall's streets to a nice shiny polish. Still, I never felt anything particular with the place. It was a dungeon like any other. But since we're on the topic. Ever try out Amnesia: Dark Descent? Textbook example of how simple noise can trigger instinctive fear responses and make a person feel vulnerable.Rifneno wrote...

might have been a panel, I'll try to find the dialogue... either way.. apparently iD makes you see creatures that aren't there...
EDIT: found it:
Cerberus Scientist: Third day with this headache. You'd think Chandana would have let me take a few hours off. Goddamn!
Cerberus Researcher: What?
Cerberus Scientist: That thing that just… gray thing! It disappeared when I looked straight at it. Came out of the damn wall! Where we took off that panel.
Aww, you left off the terrified "I'm telling you, this thing isn't dead! It knows we're inside it!"
The derelict Reaper had such an awesome ambiance to it. In 25 years of gaming, I can only think of a handful of places that really gave me the chills like that did. Only ones I can think of off-hand are that, the Primeval Thaig in DA2, and the Dead Sea in Chrono Cross. They all just had this... aura to them. It was like the screen and speakers were bleeding wrongness.

Just because there are Reaper noises doesn't mean there is an indoctrination attempt. The dreams reflect what Shepard has lost and how he has lost it, so it is no surprise that the Reapers make an appearance as they are the cause of all this, along with deceased squadmates
