Off topic, but do any of you ever go over to the ME wiki? Advice: don't. There's this one admin, Lancer, who I think, has spent about a decade doing nothing but being there, and is the thickest person you'll ever meet.

I'm "Alex T Snow" and he's "Lancer1289":

Seriously, this guy could easily be a few of the more annoying trolls we have around here. This guy's like this everywhere on the wiki, and he is everywhere on the wiki. I'm a regular on Halopedian and IMFDB, but I stay away from ME wiki unless I have to now, just because of him. Posted Image

This image still disregards that Sheps upper body is rotated and leaned towards the camera therefor it also disregards perspective.
If you watch the video you can see that the bloody blob in the other picture is the continuation of Sheps leg that you can see there.
Also you disregard the armor making the leg bigger.

Watch the final scene again? Oh you must mean another 100 times or so, because I've already watched it 112 times according to my video editor. Unlike most, I've actually been watching it with the contrast, shaprness and brightness setting's optimized, so I've probably seen more than most (excluding Gunslinger_reiz) and although Shepard is slumped at aproximatly a curve angle of 13'0 this would still make he distance required to be 60.9cm which is still 20cm short for this frame. For us to see his leg in this shot he would have to be almost facing NE to the camera which doesn't work with the perspective or size of the cable or "rebar"

Then you should know that what you see is the top of her left leg, which would mean you have to look for this distance:

which also fits your calculation, thus proving me right.

I must have missed it. Someone wanna fill me in on what all this measuring is about?

What are we trying to prove with these measurements?

I do, but only to read up on the articles, not to peruse the talk pages. Sounds like I'm not missing much.

This.

Now, to go back to the veeeeeeery first point that started this, I said that in the original script you wake up after getting hit by Harbingers beam and your leg is hurt. We can clearly see in the pics that Sheps leg is bloody and the armour torn.

Funny coincidence, that :)

EDIT - actually, wait, if that's in the original model then nevermind :P

@MegumiAzusa Now that I know where you're coming from and looking at the above images I posted, I must apologise, as you were in fact making the right point. Although I still don't think Shep's leg is punctured, I just think it's the combination of his thigh strap and the cable laying in that direction that gives the illusion of it. But regardless, I still apologise for doubting you.

Last time I checked the thigh were a part of a leg. This doesn't disprove my statements in any way.

I played from 1am to 10am the day it came out, and tried to go to sleep, but I had a dream with the voices of my squad telling me the fight wasnt over, and only slept for an hour, then I loaded up the game and finished it super tired, and the guardian made more sense then than he ever has since.

Oddly, that dream is to date the only dream I've ever had about Mass Effect. GET OUT OF MY HEAD BIOWARE!

@Salient Archer

Thanks for the full image of broken armored Shepard.

That indent on the leg can be seen in both the breath scene and the full body, I thought that's what people were pointing out as the leg being pierced.

Yeah, it's the original model after he gets hit by Harbie's beam.

Actually, wait. I'm an idiot. My point still stands.

Got mixed up, thinking "well if the wound was on Sheps armour before getting hit by the beam...".

Man, tired :P

It's funny you mention that, because I just realized that ME is one of the only games that I've never dreamt about. Usually I dream about videogames extensively, and especially ones that I play as much as I've played ME. Could this be part of the conspiracy?!

(yes lurkers, I'm joking, no need to jump on this one. I KNOW one of you was about to!)

Actually not nevermind! It's exactly that, the script said Shep gets hit and his leg is pierced slapping medi gel on it. And yeah, the left leg is quite damaged. It's just not as exact as the script.

I wasn't saying thigh wasn't part of the leg. What I was trying to say is that the impact point everyone thinks is punctured is his/her leg strap from the armor and it just coincdentely happens to line up with the dangling cable.

Also, all the cuts and and markings we see on Shep in the breathing scene are all on the model we use after (s)he wakes up from Harbie's beam.

EDIT: I also wasn't saying his/her leg isn't hurt either, I'm just saying that it isn't punctured by Rebar.

:D I wanted to see first how the beam look like at the bottom (bad idea) and I also didn't even see the ramps... To think that Shep died because he was tired and/or too curious...

Here's an interesting thought:
I wonder if after the big reveal with the EC etc (whatever form that may take) we'll unlock that armour as a little bonus :P

Otherwise, it'd be a bit pointless to have it already implemented as armour when it's only used in a pre-rendered scene...

Also, did anyone catch this tweet between Mike Gamble and ME3's lead level designer?
