Hmmm, good point. I don't support IT, but I do think it's possible they planned Anderson to be a squadmate for longer than just in the tutorial. Most likely DLC with a bonus Earth mission?byne wrote...

I'm still hoping Anderson would be a squadmate is some DLC
Well, he randomly had a skill tree for no reason. I mean, you could say they had to give him one because he was in your squad at the beginning, but Wilson didnt have one in ME2, and you couldnt even put points into any skills until you were off Lazarus Station. Coulda just made Earth like that.
Although, I don't remember, was there any tutorial for squad powers usage/skill trees in the Earth mission? Any reason why they would specifically want Anderson to have skill tree even if just for that one level?
Not that I remember. Earth was just shooting husks and cannibals nonstop.
I dont think so.
I never actually check my skills in Arrival though, since they're usually all fully allocated after I'm done with Freedom's Progress.
Call me a cheater for not updating the game and abusing the glitch that lets me fully fill up every skill with only 10 points all you want, but it wont stop me from doing it.

Oh, about Anderson's skill tree. It's literally a carbon copy of Ashhole's, except "Alliance Officer" is renamed "Alliance Admiral."
Yeah, but I mean, why give him one at all? Seems like extra work they didnt need to do. No one would have questioned why he didnt have a skill tree, and its not like they gave it to him to help you through the incredibly difficult level that is the Earth level.

Also, for anyone starting a new game it is completely useless anyways. I know, most people import their shepards but this is what I noticed when playing the default ME3 shep.
And even if you do import, certain powers are useless, like grenades; he can't find them so can't usel them.

Actually, it's not the same as Ashley Williams. He has Concussive shot, frag grenade, fortification, incendiary ammo, and Alliance Admiral. You'll see she only has concussive shot in common.

Liara does friendzone a LI Shepard left and right in ME3, even at the "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" at the Citadel, Liara starts the convo as something like "it's good to spend time like this, as friends." or something along these lines.pirate1802 wrote...

I think he is just specifically referring to the Alliance Admiral skill. Which IS just Ash's Alliance Officer renamed.
Kinda weird though since Anderson uses a pistol, and never once has a sniper or assault rifle, the two weapons his skill improves the damage of.

Yeah, but if he is talking about the conversation you have with Liara in the commons AFTER the coup, when she says you're a friend, you should have the option to say just friends doesnt cut it for you anymore.
Even that is weird though, since 'just friends' should have stopped cutting it 3 freakin years ago when you slept together, but what do I know

But yes indeed this is weird, some of the plot flags from ME2 don't carry over correctly, unless you activate them in the save editor (such as re-establishing your relationship in LoTsB) but most of the friend remarks stay the same, regardless of outcome.

I dont know about that, after I visited Liara in her room for the first time right after the Citadel on my most recent playthrough, I got this message in my Datapad app:
"Hope you like what I've done with the room. Come back if there's anything else you'd like to do with it..."
If Shepard didnt follow through on that invitation, she's insane.

Basically, it just has the entire codex on your phone/ipad, lets you do some tiny things like improve readiness in a specific sector by like 1% every six hours, and lets you receive mail from your crew after certain things happen in the game.
Here is a list with all the mail if you're curious.

Also, from another thread:
4stringwizard wrote...
I just re-played "Arrival" as part
of my renegade playthrough (ME2 is still a great game, even if ME3 was a
major let-down), and I noticed a couple things that got my attention.
For those who haven't played it, or don't remember, Shepard encounters a
group of scientists that end up being indoctrinated after finding a
Reaper artifact. While playing through, I noticed...
1. One
of the project scientists complains of suffering a recurring nightmare,
and it was the same one each time. Shepard had nightmares of the vent
kid throughout ME3...
2. Another scientist claimed he could hear
"whispers" in the back of his head. Shepard's dreams involved hearing
whispers in the background.
So there you have it. No, I am
NOT saying this confirms indoctrination theory. While I believe IT is
very plausible, I'm not 100% convinced it's true. However, I think this
definitely gives it more credibility. And my apologies if this has
already been brought up before.
What do yo think?
Can someone find a video source for this?
