I read this happens if he didn't sing for you in ME2, but I very much remember doing that. Posted Image

Mordin not singing makes the scene way less emotional, in my opinion.

Fine then... be that way.

Also I remember seeing this trailer... and getting goose bumps. Yup, still works. Has to be the song.

Yeah, the ME2 launch trailer is probably my favorite trailer for anything, ever. Of all time.

You guys remember all this...

am I even allowed to be here having played ME3 in it's entirety only once?
Only reloaded the ending autosave twice to test something.

You shouldnt feel weird about that. It isnt all that unusual, really.

A while back I watched a great movie called Stay that was somewhat of a psychological mystery/thriller movie. It has a lot of room for interpretation, and though I only watched it once, I spent a ton of time thinking about it and even came up with a theory that I wrote into the wikipedia article that generated some attention (It was later removed for being unproven and mostly speculative, unfortunately).

Despite my fascination with the movie, I never have watched it again. At first I wasnt sure why, but then I realized I probably wanted to preserve the memory of the experience I had watching the movie for the first time, rather than "overwriting" it and diluting it by watching it repeatedly.

Heh, if only I could channel this post-ME3 energy into something more productive than Lurking BSN.

I did manage a 2nd complete playthrough the other day though o/ (first one was a week or so after release and didn't bother since) would never have touched it were it not for you fine folks in here giving a palatable reason to do so.

I'm pretty sure I've said it multiple times, but what I like most about this thread is that it gave people the willpower to play ME3 again after beating it the first time.

Also, in the tradition of saying what happened on the year of the current page number, here we go for 2165:

- After an Alliance research station at Sidon is attacked, *SPOILERS*

- Terrorists steal antimatter from the Alliance cruiser SSV Geneva. The sole figure arrested names his sponsor "Cerberus". This is the first such incident of sabotage connected to the Cerberus organization.

- After a disagreement between Vido Santiago and Zaeed Massani over hiring batarians into the Blue Suns, Vido betrays Zaeed and leaves him for dead. All records of Zaeed's involvement in the Blue Suns are erased.

- Jack is abducted by Cerberus agents on Eden Prime. They fake her death and take her to the Teltin Facility on Pragia as part of a project intended to improve biotic potential in humans.

Busy year.

Also the 'artifact' mentioned in the first one was *SPOILERS*

Wow...spoilers for the mass effect novels much?

I generally consider spoilers fair game after 5 years of the thing in question being released.

You also reminded me!

2167:

- L2 biotic implants are first developed and used in humans. Kaidan Alenko is among the first to receive the new implants.

- The magazine Fornax is launched.

I see the logic in that, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that got my motivation to finally read the novels from playing ME3. I'm glad I was able to at least read the first two before getting any spoilers on them. Unfortunately I wasnt able to avoid spoilers for the third novel before reading it.

Hmm. More cable/rebar comparisons. Body measurements of Shepard in the breath scene. Sheps leg being pierced by something.

Oh, and people got very emotional again. I honestly don't know whose fault it was.

OH GOD NO NOT THE TEXT

btw, so I saw The Avengers yesterday, and in the last 20 minutes, what do I see? A giant blue beam of light going from the sky to earth.

Not only that, we saw indoctrination in the beginning, blue eyes and all. I just wish Shep's could be cured with a simple knock to the head.

Good morning fellow Euroneons!
For those who wonder what's new:

EDIT: From page 2157 on...

Not so much, had a go, the problem with reaper noises is that they occur over such a wide band that it'd be difficult.
If you assumed they were the same as other reaper noises you could filter them but that's way more time than I have right now - skipping between this forum and revising for an exam on twelve-axis rotary flight mechanics (FML).

I'll stick the wave files in a zip and upload them somewhere so you guys can see what you think, sorry if I've over-hyped it but it'll fuel speculation regardless :P

How do you know they're reaper noises then? :S

(not saying you're lying or anything, just...yeah, if you can't hear them then...how?)

YAY we both should be revising but suck :P

The reaper sounds all have a very characteristic wobble to them, because they're created with a synth called "MASSIVE" which I use occasionally (I do a bit of music production).
Entertainigly, the same synth is used to make most of the sounds in Transformers, and Skrillex uses it regularly

http://www.sendspace.com/file/l73dd0
Here's the .wav files

Couple of points to note:
1-The wind noise gets over-boosted in places because I was a little agressive with the compression... although the fact that there is wind noise at all surely tells us we're not still in space in the alive sequence?

2-The garden world ones, conversely, could use more compression to draw out the minor details, at the moment you'll want them loud ;)

They are really worth checking out on high volume.

In shepdead #3, do I hear there something like one of these Allience tanks/makos first rolling, then marching soldiers, and after that (the Normandy) opening door is in reality a tank opening the hatch?

A few days ago parts of a city mall were under construction and there was some concrete drilling going on. In my head sounded like Reaper growls, especially since they were drilling in intervalls.
I lol'd.

When I was driving home a few days ago, I passed some kind of truck doing electrical work.

It had three spools of wires on the back.

One spool was red, one was blue, and one was green.

My first thought was 'I need to destroy that truck.'
