Allow me to properly iterate my thought process on the matter:
We have essentially two extremes here, when it comes to a ME3 player.
Extreme Casual player: Probably doesnt care all that much about the story. Mainly in it for the gameplay. Maybe hasnt even played ME1 or 2. Wont read into the plot very deep, and probably doesnt even have a major problem with the ending of ME3.
Extreme Dedicated ME player: Cares deeply about the story, moreso than the gameplay. Has played the games, read the books, understands the plot and lore (possibly has the datapad app...?), and has a very big problem with the ending. Upon closer examination, pieces start to fall into place, and upon doing some research online, finds a theory that explains the ending that makes perfect sense. Tidbits from the previous games, as well as content provided through OTHER MEDIUMS such as the novels, comics, and yes,
the app, seem to support this theory.
I'm telling you, I'm convinced that message is meant as a clue towards IT. I'm disappointed that it hasnt been cited as one of the bigger clues. If I were to make my own list, it would be right there near the top.
