Wait a minute. The Task Manager IS a Catalyst. Considering he's Harbinger. Harbinger shall remain unchanged by Shepard's choice, and yet he accelerates an action. Shepard's indoctrination.
Ergo, star child is A Catalyst, but not THE Catalyst.

Arian, I was talking about the ending taken at face-value, and the brat still says "I'm the Catalyst" (Lie number one, already by the greetings).
In case of the IT (which I now strongly support), I agree that the Starbrat is Harby's a projection/manipulation/toy/trick/annoyance used to fully indoctrinate a weakened Shep.
I wonder if there is any cheat-code who makes us able to blow his head off with the magical gun (somewhat like in ME2 where you can kill TIM). I'd pay for it...
P.S: Still out of topic but I wanted to ask you if considered the Yahg threat in the the post Reaper-War times (ME4). I've played the LoSB recently and I find this race fascinating and also terrifying : they combine the power of the Krogan, the intelligence and learning ability of the Salarians and the ferocity of the indoctrinated Rachni... For me they're at mid-term the next galaxy rulers...
To prevent this happening I would go on Reaper-mode and wipe them out before they kill every organic in the galaxy
Thanks also for the tips about how to post pics on the forum !

The Yahg would definately make a formidable threat for a sequel. It would be weird to play a Mass Effect game without Shepard as the main character.
But I think it would be fun to play a game with an open hero/heroine. (Like in DA: O) Story: You're a new spectre and asked to investigate the Yahg threat. So you could be Turian, Human, Salarian, Asarii, etc.
That is only thing I enjoy about Multiplayer - is the variety in the races/classes.
A Drell adept is a lot of fun in MP.

A new threat, a new spectre with Shepard as mentor (depending on how well you handled the indoctrination attempt on the Citadel) would be cool. As well as having him/her as squadmate for a few missions and the possibility to visit him, wherever he now lives, when we need some advices...
And not only playing a human spectre : Salarian, Asari, Turian, Drell and Krogan !!! God I missed Grunt as squadmate (scr*w you Vega) in ME3.
But the best of it all would be a Geth spectre

The only thing? I've seen the multiplayer getting quite a bit of stick, and I don't really get it. I think it's awesome and horribly addictive, myself. All the fun gunplay of the single-player, plus the added incentive of playing all the different classes and - even better - all the different races.
I can understand people not liking the Store lottery system, but I find it kinda compelling.
The drell Adept is great fun, I agree. I tried the asari Justicar last night though, and I was sorely unimpressed.
EDIT: Something very weird just happened with bullet points. Edited to get rid of them.

I could totally see Grunt becoming the first Krogan spectre.
And a Geth playable character would be neat.
It would be cool if Shepard or Ashley/Kaiden, or Grunt was the Spectre assigned to observe you.

I know there are plenty of people that want PvP. I like PvE frankly and it's satisfying to be on a squad with a mission and not have to deal with the griefing, etc that typically comes with PvP.

Drell Adept. Those Cluster Grenades *Me gusta*
Though it is also a ton of fun going Geth Hunter style, by picking Geth infiltrator, max cloak for damage and CD and Hunter Mode, then pick the Geth Shotgun (or any shotgun) and just play like the Geth Hunter from the game using cloak to get close to enemies.
It is a high risk playstyle, but damn does that shotgun hurt coming out of cloak.
Another favorite of mine is Krogan Sentinel, melee style. That Tech Armor + Blood Rage = You are near invincible and smash right through any normal enemy on Silver.

Another tidbit from my newest playthrough. After exiting the Geth Consensus, Joker asks if Shepard can be absolutely sure everything around him is real, that Shepard is not still in the Consensus...sound familiar to a main part of this theory?
This is why I say that the mention of the Matrix in the endings plans is important. The conversation about the Geth consensus is basically word for word the argument about the end of the Matrix. And they wanted their ending to be similar to the Matrix...hmm...

I agree. Grunt is the most suitable to become the first Krogan Spectre. I would like to hear his advices, something like "Don't forget, you must freak out by choice not under constraint ! " or "You don't need luck, you have ammo"Tirian Thorn wrote...

For Ashley/Kaidan it would be like "Beware of Cerberus ! TIM is still on the run ! ".
I still find the human characters of ME (especially the squadmates and besides Anderson, Hackett or even Udina or Emily Wong) being quite plain in comparison to the alien ones... I never got attached to Ash or Kaiden and Vega came way too late... Let's not speak about Allers...
Edit: Only human exception about the squadmates personality : Jack.

Awesome ideas. Even more awesome if your custom Shepard plays a cameo Hackett-like role. Grunt as spectre may depend on whether you Wrex is alive or not. He'd be the perfect krogan candidate for a spectre though. Hope Garrus is still around. Geth maybe more acceptable after their assist in defeating the reapers. Great ideas all around.
And for once I'd like to play a ME where the villain is a defeatable enemy, not abandom-all-hope type reapers. Batarians and Yahg seem ideal for this.

Ah, that makes more sense. Yeah I'm totally with you regarding no PvP. I think it'd be a horrible way to ruin what (so far) has organically become an impressive co-op experience - and I mean "impressive" in the sense that you don't get selfish pricks playing. Pretty much everyone I've played with so far has been a team player. Although yesterday I did come across a girl who was absolutely, mind-bogglingly terrible at the game, and just laughed down the microphone when she was downed every 10 seconds (on bronze). When people couldn't get to her to help her up she started ranting in Dutch. Oh well, Xbox Live "Avoid this player" came in handy for something, finally.
Also, PvP would massively discourage any variation in class builds. People would only use the mathematically-best classes so as to not be at a disadvantage. I utterly LOATHE it when games force you to play a certain way, purely by virtue of the "other" ways not being competitive. The multiplayer at the moment has it just right, in my opinion. I've played as all 6 classes and as every race I've unlocked (most of them) and I've never once felt like I couldn't compete, even though I'm not especially great as an Infiltrator, for example.

Agreed. Krogans generally are great fun. My krogan Soldier is a melée fighter, though, and my krogan Sentinel is more of a power user. They're both awesome to use, though, which kinda backs up my previous point about no one class being "best".
Choice is a very good thing.

Garrus is the next Primarch and he definitely needs, as the Shadow Broker's file stated, to take some distance from Shep because his great leading abilities will always be shadowed by Shep's charisma... Old good friends becoming rivals ?
The Batarian could have been a great threat but they took the first hit of the Reapers and the destruction of the Mass Relay in Arrival wiped them out almost completely... As Hackett said it, they're now history...

If ME4 is planned without Shepard, I bet it'll revolve around Jon Grissom and the discovery of the Mass Relays. Then we'll discover all the races from the main trilogy.
