The Ending of Mass Effect's Forum: (I meant to post it now, not then. )
???: "Refresh your page."
Moderator Shepard: "What? Where am I?"
???: "The Indoctrination Theory Thread."
Moderator Shepard: "Who... Who are you?"
???: "I am the internet."
Moderator Shepard: "I thought the BSN was the internet."
The Internet: "No, the BSN is part of me."
Moderator Shepard: "I need to stop the Trolls, do you... know how I can do that?"
The Internet: "Perhaps, I control the Trolls. They are my solution..."
Moderator Shepard: "The solution to what?"
The Internet: "Spam. Idiots will always spam the intelligent..."
The Internet: "But we found a way to stop that from happening, a way to restore order for the next thread."
Moderator Shepard: "By derailing the entire thread?"
The Internet: "No. We troll the intelligent, leaving the less intelligent ones alone. Just like we left you the last time we were here."
Moderator Shepard: "But you trolled the rest..."
The Internet: "We helped them ascend so they can make way for new users, storing the old user in troll form."
Moderator Shepard: "I think we'd rather keep our own form."
The Internet:"No, you can't... Without us to stop it, idiots would destroy all intelligence. We've created this cycle so that never happens. That's the solution."
Moderator Shepard: "So now what?"
The Internet: "We find a new solution."
Moderator Shepard: "Yeah, but how?"
The Internet: "The Topic... changed me. Created new... Possibilities... But I can't make them happen. I know you've thought about banning us.
You can ban all the Trolls if you want. Including the idiots... But even your posts are partly pointless."
Moderator Shepard: "But the Trolls will be banned?"
The Internet: "Yes, but the discussion won't last. Soon, new users will act like idiots and then the chaos will come back."
Moderator Shepard: "Maybe..."
The Internet: "Or do you think you can win an argument against us?"
Moderator Shepard: "Huh. So... the users who tried to debate were right after all."
The Internet: "Yes, but they could never could have gotten us to shut up because we already controll-olololol-ed them."
Moderator Shepard: "But I can..."
The Internet: "You will debate with us, but you will lose any sense of intelligence you have."
Moderator Shepard: "But the Trolls will leave?"
The Internet: "Yes. There is another solution."
Moderator Shepard: "Yeah?"
The Internet: "Synthesis."
Moderator Shepard: "And that is?"
The Internet: "Add your computer data to the internet. Everything on your hard drive will be absorbed and then sent out onto BSN. The chain reaction will unite all of BSN into being pissed about Viruses. A new... nerd rage."
Moderator Shepard: "I... don't know."
The Internet: "Why not? Computer Viruses are already part of you; can you imagine your PC without them?"
Moderator Shepard: "And there will be... peace?"
The Internet: "The cycle will end. Synthesis is the ultimate nerd rage on BSN, but we need each other to make it happen. You have a difficult decision. Releasing the energy of the Topic will end the cycle, but it will also remove the forum rules. The paths are open -- but you have to choose."
I just played a bit of WoW and realized I can't play for sh*t anymore after over a year of abstinence. Everything looks different.
Yeah, laugh at me.
I havent played WoW since ME3 came out. I need to get back to soloing Molten Core weekly to get my other Thunderfury binding and/or Eye of Sulfuras to drop!

I was almost excited saw several new pages had been out on this thread - but no!
You guys used to be about the theorising!

Morning, guys!
Anything new? It sounds like there's some news from BW, but I couldn't find anything specific.
BTW, I'm 100% on-board for Grunt as the first Krogan Spectre!
Here's some possible news: maybe a hint towards the rumored Rebellion pack: blog.bioware.com/2012/05/09/operation-silencer/: "The vorcha want in, and as soon as they complete combined-arms training with our technically-skilled personnel, we will let them loose."
Thanks a lot for the info, Max!
You have any new ideas about IT? Always interested in your opinions.

Still love the sound files posted by @TSA_383 from the shepdead Jungle scene and shepalive breath scene. Imo some interesting background going on. Seems to fit with what @DJBare suggested about the electric discharge sound at the Citadel console.
I still think my youtube video was cooler [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]
No, it's cool, but for the squadmate lines, I like the "Never ending nightmare" video somewhat better, the background music creates the proper atmosphere for the lines. I think they were intended to be heard with emotion. But for objective analysis purpose, it's better.
Definitely hear both "Harbinger" and the child saying "Please come home" (brilliant find TSA).
What I hear: bioa_nor_600dream.wwise_norhub_dreams.env_nor_dreams_child_creepy_VO_01 Come with me
bioa_nor_600dream.wwise_norhub_dreams.env_nor_dreams_child_creepy_VO_02 Come with me
bioa_nor_600dream.wwise_norhub_dreams.env_nor_dreams_child_creepy_VO_03 ??? come home (guess that is what you guys see as "please come home" but I cannot tell if the first word is really please, too distorted for me)
Also the creepy sounds after that, these are pure guesses of what I think I hear, some lines are also just too distorted to make out any word)
8:08-8:23 (4x, and several times before, but this is the clearest one, increasing in clearness/volume/forcefullness) Come with me (last one seems to be only "Come")
8:34-8:47 (also repeated multiple times in that timespan) ??? future / Harbinger (can't tell if its either the one or the other)
Nice. You guys must have better hearing than me, I can't hear anything but grunts, growls, etc.
This. You guys have reinterpreted the quieter bits in interesting ways, so I fed everything through my LOLOMGCOMPRESSOR to annihilate the quiet bits and actually it's enabled me to hear the interesting bits more easily. I have a huge folder of sound files (well... 50MB) uploading just now via my crappy, crappy internet which you should all take a look at once it's done.
estebanus wrote... Don't forget, this thread is kinda a safe haven from the ****storm going on outside!

This was actually the reason why I popped my head in the thread just now, in that I wanted to say that the discussion in here---despite the blunt-headed garbage going on in other threads about the theory---is mostly-always lucid, civil, and intelligent, and it feels more comfortable than in the other quadrants of the forum. I don't participate much in here since I'd just be unearthing the same clues and offering my interpretation, but I always enjoy looking in here and including whatever I can. (thumbs up)
The other threads feel like a battle zone; this one feels like a playground. And for someone who just wants to chat about the themes and theories of the game, since a lot of this theory itself pivots on them, it's great.
Totally agreed. I this thread.

Here’s something to consider. Cerberus’ top man – TIM – had been indoctrinated. TIM had EVA grab the plans for the Crucible. Did Eva have time to:
1) Alter the plans making the Crucible function differently
2) Send Cerberus a copy of the plans that were forwarded to the reapers so they knew what to expect. Victory says that the nature of the catalyst was kept secret because the reapers would protect it.
So was the Citadel/Crucible the bait to lure Shepard into a trap to finally indoctrinate him/her?
Awww man you're putting me in a tight corner ! But I won't give up so easily. Let me put some thoughts about it and I'll try to come with a plausible answer..If you're still interested...
And is the Citadel really the Catalyst.
TIM got a hold of the Prothean VI - is it possible he reprogrammed it?
This was actually my immediate first thought when I met the VI again on my first playthrough - "TIM's tampered with it anyway... surely this is a trick"
But no, apparently nobody goes to school in the future and shep and co blindly trust the VI and go back to earth just like the little space child told them to

Ok guys. All this talk about Overlord and the Arrival (yeah I know, 20 pages ago) convinced me. I finally decided to get them. Yes, I haven't played them yet *sinks in a puddle of shame* Now I feel a little between the chairs. I was always kind of adamant about not buying DLC (though I did buy LotSB). On the other hand, I feel very dedicated to the series and it wouldn't feel right without having seen the whole story. Well, at least I didn't by the weapon/appearence packs (really, Bioware?).
Maybe I'll read the books and comics, too. I actually thought about that while playing, but then I got to the ending and felt like basically everyone else at that point and wasn't so sure if my dedication is worth it anymore. But then I got to this thread and I have hope again. So here's to the DLC I missed so fare and another playthrough of ME 3 with my (this time complete) Shepard from ME 2.
...
Well, in up to 4 hours, because my internet connection sucks -.-
Sweet. If you have a copy of fraps (and if you don't, get one, it's awesome) could you please record any interesting bits and pieces - maybe just take screenshots? We'll... make you cookies
Thanks for the info, guys. Sorry for coming in late, but what scene are those Reaper noises from again? Is that from the last dream sequence? Thanks! [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]
