EDIT - And perhaps TIM and Anderson don't take on that ghostly, translucent manifestation, because they're part of Shepard? (Supported by the bullet wound, etc.)
Did I explain that adequately? I'm sure there are many different ideas of what exact reality is going on in IT, and this may be a widely accepted concept already, but is it fair to suggest the possibility of a Reaper virtual reality, similar to the Geth virtual reality? I feel like Bioware created the Geth virtual reality level for this very reason. I could be wrong, but it's all seeming too convenient to be just coincidence.

Sweet. If you have a copy of fraps (and if you don't, get one, it's awesome) could you please record any interesting bits and pieces - maybe just take screenshots?NeoDobby wrote...
Ok guys. All this talk about Overlord
and the Arrival (yeah I know, 20 pages ago) convinced me. I finally
decided to get them. Yes, I haven't played them yet *sinks in a puddle
of shame* Now I feel a little between the chairs. I was always kind of
adamant about not buying DLC (though I did buy LotSB). On
the other hand, I feel very dedicated to the series and it wouldn't feel
right without having seen the whole story. Well, at least I didn't by
the weapon/appearence packs (really, Bioware?).
Maybe I'll read
the books and comics, too. I actually thought about that while playing,
but then I got to the ending and felt like basically everyone else at
that point and wasn't so sure if my dedication is worth it anymore. But
then I got to this thread and I have hope again. So here's to the DLC I
missed so fare and another playthrough of ME 3 with my (this time
complete) Shepard from ME 2.
...
Well, in up to 4 hours, because my internet connection sucks -.-
We'll... make you cookies
Yes, I have fraps. I'll try to record something when I find it, but I'm not sure if I will remember though.
Did someone say cookies?

-kill Troll-larva, insert giant battle-
Joker: "Do you copy? Moderator, come on Shepard don't leave me hanging! Do you copy?"
Moderator Shepard: "I'm here Joker, did the ground team make it?"
Joker: "All survivors on board, just waiting on you."
Lawlbinger: "User, you have changed nothing...
Your intelligence has the attention of those infinitely your greater.
That which you know as Trolls are your salvation through your induction..."
EDI: "Deletion in: 10... 9... 8-"
Joker: "Yeah I get the gist of it EDI, hold on!"
Lawlbinger: "You have failed. We will find another way. Releasing this sub-troll..."
-insert explosion of Mass Effect 2 board-
The Seclusive Man: "Shepard, you have a habit of costing me more time and data."
Moderator Shepard: "Too many posts were locked at that section, I'm not sorry it's gone."
The Seclusive Man: "The first of many posts, those lol's could have secured User dominance in the BSN against the Troll's and beyond! "
Moderator Shepard: "User dominance, or just Cerberus?"
The Seclusive Man: "Strength
for Cerberus is strength for every user! Cerberus ARE the users, I
should have known you'd choke on the hard decisions! Too idealistic from
the start!"
Moderator Shepard: "I'm not looking for your approval, Lawlbinger is
coming and he won't be alone, BioWare needs a leader who's looking out
for them, from now I'm doing things my way whether you agree or not."
The Seclusive Man: "Don't turn your back on me Shepard, I reactivated you; I brought you back from the ban!"
Moderator Shepard: "Joker, lose this thread."

LOLno. I love Garrus, but not like that. The only romance my Shep ever will have is with Liara, and no one else!
Same with me so far. But I only did one playthrough. I'm interested in seeing the other romances to, so I might try something else next time.
Actually, I did romance Garrus in ME 2 but somehow I could still end it with him after we consumed the romance before the Collector Base (there's a dialogue you always get a while after you made the offer, where you can say you'd rather be friends, and it's still available afterwards - so ME 3 and Liara never knew I was with Garrus. I know, evil me. But I honestly didn't plan for it to go this way ...

Okay, I'm sure someone has made this observation somewhere, but a friend who is trying to "disprove" IT asked me why I think the kid that Shepard hallucinates earlier in the game, the kid in the "WARNING" vent, manifests differently on the Citadel, like why he's all ghostly-looking, and I compared it to how Legion and the Geth & Quarians from the memories manifest themselves in the Geth's virtual world, where they have a similar texture (translucent, glowing, flowing light with a sort of electrical-looking aura), and even when the Geth world is sort of uh... forming around Shepard, when he/she first steps out of that pod thing, everything takes on that exact electrical aura look that surrounds the Starchild. I told him it's possible that Shepard was sort of inducted into the virtual Reaper world, as his/her body remains on Earth unconscious, much like when he/she was inducted into the Geth world, thus the magic pistol that comes into our possession, which was only preceded by the magic gun thing we got in the Geth world, something familiar, and thus why the God VI thing takes the form of the kid, also familiar.

If the Indoctrination theory turns out to be true, what will we then do? Let this thread die gracefully?
Will we rub it into the faces of all the anti-ITers? Or will we simply say "well done" to each other, and then leave the naysayers alone?

ONCE MORE SINCE WE ARE AT THE ENDING POINT:

???: "Refresh your page."
Moderator Shepard: "What? Where am I?"
???: "The Indoctrination Theory Thread."
Moderator Shepard: "Who... Who are you?"
???: "I am the internet."
Moderator Shepard: "I thought the BSN was the internet."
The Internet: "No, the BSN is part of me."
Moderator Shepard: "I need to stop the Trolls, do you... know how I can do that?"
The Internet: "Perhaps, I control the Trolls. They are my solution..."
Moderator Shepard: "The solution to what?"
The Internet: "Spam. Idiots will always spam the intelligent..."
The Internet: "But we found a way to stop that from happening, a way to restore order for the next thread."
Moderator Shepard: "By derailing the entire thread?"
The Internet: "No. We troll the intelligent, leaving the less intelligent ones alone. Just like we left you the last time we were here."
Moderator Shepard: "But you trolled the rest..."
The Internet: "We helped them ascend so they can make way for new users, storing the old user in troll form."
Moderator Shepard: "I think we'd rather keep our own form."
The Internet:"No, you can't... Without us to stop it, idiots would destroy all
intelligence. We've created this cycle so that never happens. That's the
solution."
Moderator Shepard: "So now what?"
The Internet: "We find a new solution."
Moderator Shepard: "Yeah, but how?"
The Internet: "The Topic... changed me. Created new... Possibilities... But I
can't make them happen. I know you've thought about banning us.
You can ban all the Trolls if you want. Including the idiots... But even your posts are partly pointless."
Moderator Shepard: "But the Trolls will be banned?"
The Internet: "Yes, but the discussion won't last. Soon, new users will act like idiots and then the chaos will come back."
Moderator Shepard: "Maybe..."
The Internet: "Or do you think you can win an argument against us?"
Moderator Shepard: "Huh. So... the users who tried to debate were right after all."
The Internet: "Yes, but they could never could have gotten us to shut up because we already controll-olololol-ed them."
Moderator Shepard: "But I can..."
The Internet: "You will debate with us, but you will lose any sense of intelligence you have."
Moderator Shepard: "But the Trolls will leave?"
The Internet: "Yes. There is another solution."
Moderator Shepard: "Yeah?"
The Internet: "Synthesis."
Moderator Shepard: "And that is?"
The Internet: "Add your computer data to the internet.
Everything
on your hard drive will be absorbed and then sent out onto BSN. The
chain reaction will unite all of BSN into being pissed about Viruses. A
new... nerd rage."
Moderator Shepard: "I... don't know."
The Internet: "Why not? Computer Viruses are already part of you; can you imagine your PC without them?"
Moderator Shepard: "And there will be... peace?"
The Internet: "The cycle will end. Synthesis is the ultimate nerd
rage on BSN, but we need each other to make it happen. You have a
difficult decision. Releasing the energy of the Topic will end the
cycle, but it will also remove the forum rules. The paths are open --
but you have to choose."
Happy Indoctrination Time, Shepard!
