I think that the Reaper invasion isn't over. It took ages for the Reapers to destroy the Protheans. Why would it take a timespan of a single game for them to complete (or not) the current cycle?

what you got to remember is that it wouldn't take them as long as it would for the protheans of a few reasons

1 -  the protheans numbered in the trillions, alot more than the modern races number combined and sacrificed individual planets to buy more time.

2 - the modern raced in the game have pooled almost all their ships and armies together for the assault on earth so if that fails most of the fleets/armies will be decimated, damaged or outright destroyed so the reapers could destroy each race easily as there would be basicly no resistance.

so all that being said there would be no need for any other game just a cinematic telling us how the reapers swept through the galaxy and killed everyone.

what a cheery thought huh? Posted Image

Moreover, I suppose BioWare considers all those multiplayer weekends as fighting the Reaper forces. I bet they have a counter at their offices in Edmonton.

Liara comments about the timespan during one of your conversations - it may even be the conversation when she talks about the black box she has made.

Her comment is something like it took the reapers x amount of time to conquer the galaxy and how it means she may witness the extinction of the galalxy in her lifetime and how she wishes she had made time.

Sorry if this has been answered already, catching up on 10hrs of posts  Posted Image

-How do control and synthesis have the same effect?
-It may refer to an earlier plan, its relation to TIM, or just be a convenient handle.
-Shepard may or may not be on earth. And if the Crucible is built well enough (you knew having that volus fighter squadron would help) it may only target reaper built synthetics.
- Because if you don't trust the catalyst at face value, you get a critical mission failure.
-Or it could be some other n7 altogether. Maybe the easter egg is just picking on you.
-That's how the game chooses to render surreal situations. If you've ever experienced serious pain or injury while you have to keep moving... It's a rather unique high, and the game does a fabulous job of rendering it.
-Or it could just be the Citadel junk, and Shepard is in a wrecked docking bay.

....I wonder if this is what it feels like to hold a debate with a polystyrene cup...

Anyone notice the cables connecting the ems display in the war room to the QEC are the same cables connecting parts of the crucible? like the ones stuck on the back of the mako display thing i dont have screenshots maybe someone else does.

Do you mean these crucible cables?

If so, they're not the same.

Unless you're talking about these big tubes in the top left corner:

In which case they look very similar to big(ger) tubes on the crucible

Thats the problem with forums. You never know what kind of age or mental capacity you're dealing with. It might even be a troll.

edit: or a polystyrene cup that's been merged with organic DNA.

Why is everyone so crazy it's not a hallucination or indoctrination either it simply Is what you see an ending you don't wanna see or believe it's that simple. When you destroy the reapers it shows shepard all burnt and banged up on earth taking a breath since he was just in front if something that exploded in his face launching him down below onto earth why can't that just be what you see why does it have to be more. Well the answer is because you don't like the ending and are hoping there's more to it then just that. Well I think a lot of people might still be disappointed when the new ending comes out this summer because it will only explain the ovious and not what people are hoping for or wanted in the first place the fact is you can't please everyone and the truth is no one wants mass effect to end and judging by that one scene where Shepard takes a breath don't worry because there will be a mass effect 4 and that's what I got from what I saw not a final ending but an ending that tells me the game will be continued.

Why is everyone so lazy? Read the IT isntead of coming here and calling us crazy.

BTW, I was listening to this and figured I'd share incase anyone hasnt seen/heard it yet:

It's a mix of the two piano pieces Leaving Earth and An End Once and For All. They go so well together, I usually listen to this version when I'm in the mood instead of listening to the two pieces separately.

I'm trying to hold back on plugging music for you guys, mostly stuff I listen to when reading/replying here. Funnily enough Hellish I listen to those tracks to put me in a mood for Leaving work, annoying stuff so the sheer emotion of the piano tends to lift my spirits.

TIM attempts to indoctrinate/control Shepard
TIM is Indoctrinated by Reapers
TIM indoctrination attempt is Reaper indoctrination by proxy
Indoctrination by proxy fails.
Assuming Direct Control

Personally, I prefer the classical IDT view that everything after the beam charge is a hallucination because of the surreality of the entire ending sequence

Yeah, as kind of nice as the TIM/Anderson scene was (idk what people see in it, but I already knew IDT by the time I came to it, so it probably meant less to me, I got more out of the cut dialogue with Anderson tbh) there's a phrase that applies here...

"Of course it's all in your head, Harry Shepard, but why should that mean it's not real?"

I hear you brother!! How blind are all the fools on this forum? I mean to think it could go on like this for so long!!! They don't even have any evidence to back themselves up either.

For a start not once is indoctrination ever mentioned or even a theme in Mass Effect, and besides all that rubbish. How about the fact that they keep going on about Shepard "Hallucinating" the whole ending, that just sounds so dumb! It's much easier to accept the endings at face value and that Shep survived a gigaton explosion and landed back on earth.

I mean I've never heard of anyone even having hallucinations before, where as people survive from explosions like that every day. I've even heard that some people can breath in space and even survive falling 200miles to the ground.

PS: What are your thoughts on the use of sarcasm?
