So if I'm reading this right: The Conduit run was basicly a trap by Harbinger to knock out Shepard and try to indoctrinate him/her via all that crazy stuff in hopes that they will wake up indoctrinated, go to the Conduit and disable the Crucible (most likely being killed in the process).
Rather odd trap but I do see him not leaving in a hurry and actully staying to fend of remaining fighters while Shep is fighting indoctrination. Also explains why he left the beam on in the end.

Amongst MAAAAAAAAAAAANY other things, come and sit a while, my friend.

You see, Arian? THIS is the way people post when they have a genuine interest in learning more about IT. Not when they come in and use words like "desperate" and "failed". You're the one acting thick, in my opinion. As far as I'm concerned, people need to check their negative attitude at the door if they want us to help them out with information. Nothing productive or good ever comes from bringing a negative attitude into this thread. You of all people should know that.

Hellish, I came to IDT with a good bit of negativity. Would you have kicked me at the door too? Some people express themselves in different ways, and some people do tend toward the negative more, there are times to stand up for yourself, and other times to just let it roll off. YOU should know that.

My friend, I appreciate you greatly as a person and fellow IDTer, but you are acting a bit thick.

Instead of just telling her "it's great because of IDT" why not tell her WHY?

Because if she wanted to know, she would ask.  Instead, she came in and insulted us, and now you're insulting me. This is why you should just let Garrus handle it.

I didn't insult you. If I came by and called you a bunch of delusional morons, that would be an insult. I never said anything of the sort, I just said I don't think it's true and wrote some reasons why I think that.

This is why I don't like talking to IT supports. You act as if disagreeing with you means I smacked your mother. :?

People get edgy in this thread. it's nothing personal, it's just people regularly jump in to call us idiots, insult IT and us, then jump out again. Get's frustrating :P

If you're here to have a civil discussion about IT then cool, nice to have you. If you're polite (you seem to be) the hostility should go away rather quickly.

Why thank you I did not realise the situation has devolved.
Even if ultimatly IT is wrong it is the greatest peice of fan-fiction I ever came across and the people who peiced it together should feel proud of being so immersed in a francise.

Considering that Casey Hudson himself has said that he wants players to feel as Shepard does, and considering he worked on KoTOR, and THEIR famous plottwist, I think I'd call it a bit more than fanfiction.

Where did I say anything about kicking? If either of us attempts to kick anybody, its you. You express violent displeasure over the appearance of wald, for example. I simply ignore him usually. On the off chance that I do respond to someone that I think is a troll, or brings a negative attitude in here, I just respond with a funny meme or something to lighten the mood. The last thing I want is to promote negativity in this topic.

Besides, the worst thing to worry about here is that I'll splatter the wall with text containing nothing more than an hours worth of math that doesn't really solve anything ... but if you're lucky Gunslinger_ruiz might post you a pretty pictur or two.

Well...Bioware did fail with the end as it is, with everyone getting Super Nova'd by the Relays and Joker flying off to Narnia...I wouldn't call that a successful ending to a trilogy.

Well, IT people are trying to find a reason, or at least a way to make the ending less horrible, aren't they?

legitimate trolls. Hellish in paticular here is not fond of seeing

have a number of people whom come here with actual logic (or in some
cases, something approximating it) to shoot down our theories, and we
keep a fairly cordial relationship with them.

It's alright...I've been on Deviantart, you get attacked all over the place there. I just don't like it when people act like you are a troll if you disagree. It's annoying. I've read most of the first post, and while I do think it has some fairly good points, I just can't give IT a thought as Bioware made it clear they aren't going to change the end. The end, with Joker flying off and everything going kaboom, is what it will be, since IT is mainly saying the end isn't the end. (At least, that's what I'm getting.)

I did read the document of all the stuff that didn't make sence about the ending and persoanlly I only found out about the IT from the chaos over the ending. I was forced to spoil it for myself to see what the heck went down. Darn fairy boy and all the condradictions he's made. All my rage....

Let me explain something about my outlook for you. There are two types of people in the world to me, the ignorant, and the stupid. The ignorant are uninformed about something, yet are willing to learn. Everyone who is willing to learn about things is ignorant, because there is always something more to learn. The stupid, know nothing, know they know nothing, and refuse to learn. Waldstr is stupid. This girl strikes me as ignorant. Hence why I greet Waldstr with a bevy of insults (which are mostly just bluster, and to be honest, coming up with some of the more creative ones is alot of fun, what can I say, the consequence of having brothers I guess) and barely feel more than a mild sense of annoyance seeing him. Other people I am willing to give a chance.

There is simply too much evidence to believe all these was unintentional/accident. I put my money on IT being theor intention all along. They tried to indoctrinate us OR they ran out of time and are now making the actual endings as we speak. For some cutscenes that they are supposedly putting into EC, they're taking a lot of time. IT may turn out to be red herring, but I'm prepared to take the risk and hope again, I've hoped in less probable things in my life :D

Once again, I am going to explain that IDT does not requrire the end to change, merely "more scenes to grant a sense of closure and a greater clarity and understanding of the ending" first off, at face value, there is nothing more to understand. because at face value, what is shown is what is seen. Picture this, the ending plays out as we saw, but suddenly, after Joker's scene, snogging EDI in synthesis, we pan to a pile of rubble in London, the battle still raging around us, the last few minutes whizz by in a breif, partially transparent flashback, superimposed over the face of an unconcious Shepard, Shepard's eyes open, and if you chose Control or Synthesis, they bear the mark of indoctrination, identical to TIM's eyes, cut to black.

See? No need to add more endings, or "change the endings" just more scenes, for more clarity.

The keeper tunnels, where they travel to maintain the station. The pods are mass-effect field generators. These keep the skins of the wards from the outer skin of the arms, essentially working as a baffle to soften even the most intense external impacts.

Would you happen to be an INTJ? You sound like an INTJ. I'm an INTJ as well. In fact, IT is a very INTJ type of thing, really, since INTJs are very analytical, logical, and hyper-aware of details. We make the best scientists. :D

I was gonna quote G-man for a second but naaah. I do think the very thing was a dream because the first thing wrong was Harbinger leaving. I could guess he charged at the Normandy (explains why it was looking damaged). But no because he's abandoning the very thing that could kill him....or allow Shep to "assume direct control".

My apologies I am rather new to the theory but I reckon it gives me something to learn.
Anyone hear ringing after Shepard woke up from Harby's beam? I did and not because I have hearing issues right now.

Harby's conduct is funny the whole game. Aftre hearing about him so much the previous game, you see him just once. He comes in, fires some lasers at you and is like Ok my job is done here I don't wanna live on this planet anymore and flies away lol.

But doesn't that mean the Reapers haven't been stopped? That they are still reaping while the fighting continues? Then how can we win, or save the galaxy if we can't do anything?

Oh! It's a Myers-Briggs personality type. The second most rare, but I'd wager there are lots of INTJs in this thread. Also called "The Masterminds" or "The Scientists". Stephen Hawking and pretty much every major scientist ever was an INTJ.

I'm always curious enough to ask when I think I've spotted another INTJ. ^_^

Cool. I think its great that they developed bits of the lore that dont really even get used in the games/novels. It shows great attention to detail. It also gives me confidence that they wont let it end the face-value way....
