Once again, I am going to explain that IDT does not requrire the end to change, merely "more scenes to grant a sense of closure and a greater clarity and understanding of the ending" first off, at face value, there is nothing more to understand. because at face value, what is shown is what is seen. Picture this, the ending plays out as we saw, but suddenly, after Joker's scene, snogging EDI in synthesis, we pan to a pile of rubble in London, the battle still raging around us, the last few minutes whizz by in a breif, partially transparent flashback, superimposed over the face of an unconcious Shepard, Shepard's eyes open, and if you chose Control or Synthesis, they bear the mark of indoctrination, identical to TIM's eyes, cut to black.
See? No need to add more endings, or "change the endings" just more scenes, for more clarity.
But doesn't that mean the Reapers haven't been stopped? That they are still reaping while the fighting continues? Then how can we win, or save the galaxy if we can't do anything?
Because Mass Effect 3 is the end of Shepard's story, not Mass Effect itself. Shepard is left pretty much broken by this experience, mentally and physically. Here, if you want an example of how I see the ending playing out, read this;
http://social.biowar...3/1873#11747086
and then come back. We'll wait. If you want more evidence later, we can provide that too.

Question, what the hell is a INTJ?
Oh! It's a Myers-Briggs personality type. The second most rare, but I'd wager there are lots of INTJs in this thread. Also called "The Masterminds" or "The Scientists". Stephen Hawking and pretty much every major scientist ever was an INTJ.
I'm always curious enough to ask when I think I've spotted another INTJ.

Um... ok miss, I'll take your word for it. I just know I'm the sort not to suffer fools gladly, I enjoy creativity and expressions of free thought and intelligence.

If that's the way it'll turn out, I'll be even more enraged and saddened than I was over the orginal end, which made me feel like it was all for naught haha.
Suppose Bioware could get a sequel from that, generations later trying to kill the Reapers, kinda like Javik, who was born during the reaping.

This shot is from the updated Art of Mass Effect universe... The Mass Effect 3 portion is also in the N7 collectors edition of the game too.
Cool. I think its great that they developed bits of the lore that dont really even get used in the games/novels. It shows great attention to detail. It also gives me confidence that they wont let it end the face-value way....
I have to say Hellish that when I first finished ME3, I just thought BioWare had fobbed the ending but couldn't get it out of my head and just felt depressed.
I had read too many comics, too many books, looked at too much of the artwork, played the games way too much and just felt something didn't add up, I invested myself too much in this universe and just I couldn't let it go. So I played through the game a few more times and pieces started to fall into place, really obvious pieces, but I thought I was just trying to make something out of nothing, but than of course I found this forum, started reading what all you guys thought and all the pieces started to click together, not only that but I realised that I wasn't the only one to think these things.
What I've noticed is that most ITers know the lore and invested into the lore and every new bit of information just fits perfectly. I'm yet to discover a new piece of the ME lore that doesn't indicate that BioWare has made something intelligent and thought provoking and maybe unfortunatly screwed themselves (for now) becaues it was too in-depth for some.
I feel like BioWare made two games when they made ME3 - a game for the hardcore fans, who could find and expose all these tiny details hidden away in places that others fear to tread, The gamer that loves delving into the deeper mystery and the other game is this game for everyone which just happens to be a solid performing shooter with a bizarre ending.

What I was getting at was Harbinger would simply use Shepard to disable the Crucible and in the process demorilise the whole Fleet since the obivous switch of sides. An EC preditction me thinks but it is essentialy anything under 5000 WA (or 4000 depending on TIM) results in indoctrination so yes wake up and look in the mirror.

I agree with you on most of that. I said something similar (though not as eloquently) earlier today in fact (or was it yesterday? I'm tired....). The only part where we diverge is thinking Bioware screwed themselves. As
Think about it. If we had true Shepard-style dialog trees for the starkid conversation, we'd have had the ability to express all the same emotions and opinions that we, the players, have been expressing to Bioware. Anger, frustration, confusion, doubt, etc the list goes on. Right now we are more Commander Shepard than we've ever been.
