So, further post-EC dlc or an indication of the scale of the extended cut?
That's an odd answer.

Nope, it's not. It just says he don't have to worry as there are enough DLCs coming.EpyonX3 wrote...

It says nothing of post ending vs. pre-ending or whether it's in referrance to the EC. He could easily be referring to Take back Omega, take back Illium, or whatever else. That was the point of the DLC ad at the end of the game anyway.
I've yet to see anything of substance on Twitter.

Regardless of if it has anything to do with EC, I'm still anxious to see what they do with other DLC. Finishing my second playthrough yesterday wasn't depressing at all... in fact it made me resolve to play through the game all over again.... maybe this time on insanity!

Pah, don't want to brag - there is none, since it's really easy - but Hardcore on my first playthrough was a lot tougher than my second one on Insanity. Don't worry!

Hmm... I really enjoyed insanity with my infiltrator. It was pretty challenging, IMO.
But then again, I don't think I'm the best ME gamer out there, so I guess it just varies on how good you are with the gameplay aspect of the game.

I'm enjoying my 3rd playthrough now (1st in more than a month), looking at the game through the lens of IT. But if the EC comes out, and they debunk IT. I'm not paying for any DLC, no matter how awesome it looks.

When Shepard sees Anderson choosing destroy, what exactly is that? Is Shepard imagining it, is starchild making him see it, is it outside the in game reality and only meant for the player?
I'm of the mind that they're generated, and forced on Shepard, by the catalyst. We see Anderson, Shepard's closest ally, partaking in the solution that the catalyst then goes on to paint the most negatively---as the most destructive, the less-evolved, the less-pacifistic option. Manipulation dial cranked up a few degrees.
Someone pointed out to me, I don't think it was in this thread, that it had to be the kid because Shepard knew exactly what to do in both the control and destroy options without them being voiced.
But that would only make sense if the entire ending was IT, correct? If the Anderson/TIM scene before you encounter Starkid is literal, then how could the Starkid possibly know how to project the appropriate "morality-image" into Shepard's mind? As far as we know, assuming the ending it literal - the Reapers and/or Starkid can't read minds, can they? Is this more Space Magic?

And now, for fun, some screenshot analysis!
Ok, here's the conduit before the blast. Notice it's clear except for the maruader rock. But ALSO notice the gunship that was shot down in the middle left, just beside sheps head (was shot down like 5 secs before I took the screenshot). Notice how close it is to the beam, and it's rough position.
*
Now, when you wake up three makos are destroyed around you. Ok, I could maybe buy that they were destroyed after I was hit. But behind us we see the new tree...
*
Remember the gunship I mentioned? Where has it gone? it appears to have become a ...slanted piece of ground...
*
Ok, one other object appeared when you woke up. This turbine thing, against which a marine is slumped. Odd.
*
Except...here's a pic of the runup to the beam.
*
Oof, image dump, sorry. Anyhoo, discuss, disparage, dismiss, whatever

That's my point. Since when does Shepards morality get dictated to the player by displaying his thought process on screen? When has that mechanic ever been used prior to the ending?
Also, why would starchild portray the option he doesn't want Shepard to choose by linking it to the one person Shepard would trust?
Seems to suggest that Shepard was hallucinating the end and that Anderson was his subconscious projecting itself into the Reaper indoctrination

I'm with spotless, I think the images are all created by Shepard, not the Reapers.
