I love the IT but sadly my impression from the app is that everything we have heard about Casey is true and that these endings are the planned endings and Casey was trying to get some deeper meaning across. I hope that it is a giant psyche out by Bioware by I am less convinced than I was yesterday.
Also I don't know about you but I have absolutely zero, none, Nadda interest in playing a prequel to the franchise

We going by the spoke pointing down or the one pointing left?
It's marked in the galaxy map (spoke was a bad descriptor, not really sure how to describe it)
The two "ends" that make the centre look like a sweet/candy wrapper. in this picture it's pointing to...seven o'clock?
EDIT - here, edited the pics
I'm late, i know, but.. Galaxy rotates in time, right?
we saw it when we went from ME1 to ME2, the galaxy map is slightly rotated, in ME3 too... what I can't understand is where does the beam starts?
Apien crest isn't in the outer arm, and it isn't Viper , because that is the second place the beam reaches... I.. don't know, have we never been near that zone of the galaxy in three games, or is it mentioned in any of the comics/books?? something that relates with Saren, TIM, protheans, Sovereign??

I never expected Shepard to go on into ME4, I didn't expect Shepard
to be alive with high EMS either, all we need is a DLC that let's us kill Harbinger and shows us what really happened.

I didn't expect anything else, there are just too many variables. If there would be a sequel it would have to be at least some thousand years in the future. But there is still the Legend Save, that is quite strong evidence against that. Why would they bother doing that if not for a sequel.paxxton wrote...

I don't care if Shepard is in another game, what I can't stand is he the the thought of a Mass Effect game before Shepard and the reapers. I could and would play a partner piece I.e, playing as a merc with Aria but a true prequel I'd pass

Psyching us out still makes no sense to me from a business point of view why would they ****** off their fans they have no need to take a risk like that on a successful game series like mass effect. If this were true why haven't they confirmed this since fans are upset and they are catching a lot of heat about the endings they would have said something by now instead they did the opposite and confirmed that they are happy with the endings and will release a DLC better explaining the current endings that they are proud of.
Turning bad publicity into good publicity is one of the smartest things Bioware could do. The endings alone have gained the eyeys of millions of people, and many just buy the game to see what the fuss is about. Mass Effect 3 is right now one of the most discussed games out there, and if they make a mindblowing stunt like the IT, it would almost instantaneously turn all publicity forwarded to them into good publicity, by making one of the most mindblowing plot twists ever, by indoctrinating the fans themselves.

I said that the app confirms games will not take place in a post Shepard universe. I.e. We will never see all the ramifications of the reaper war. Unless the E.C. does something spectacular we may never know what happened to the galactic fleet in the sol system. Or if the Krogan species survived, can the quatrains and geth coexist etc?
As for the legend save isn't that just so you don't need to start a whole new game to play DLC?

Just because Shepard isn't there, doesn't mean the war won't go on, I've always said that an ME MMO would be the only MMO I would ever play. You'd have an indocrination meter, your own ship, etc. it. would. be. AWESOME!

Okay, the character of the catalyst controls the reapers, how on EARTH can you claim that it's worth trusting?ghostz82 wrote...
That's true they do allow us to evolve to certain point but don't allow us to grow too advanced it does explain their purpose in the game. The creator said it was his answer to stopping us from repeating the same mistake over and over. The created will always rebell against their creators he said. As for harvesting it will help build the perfect evolution half organic and half synthetic wasn't that purpose of the synthesis ending. I just wonder how all these ending choices will play out in mass effect 4.
Why would it decide to take the form of the child? The entire purpose is to manipulate you. That is what it's there for.
If it used the form of a collector or harbinger, would you trust it then? Of course you wouldn't.
But that's the point. It's an ILLUSION.
Actually from a business sense it kind of works.ghostz82 wrote...

They've already made >$200m, so this is already the best selling mass effect game ever, but for a normal game the bulk of the profits are made in the first 3 months, after that it drops out of the news and people stop buying.
But, can you imagine the amount of publicity they'll get on breaking this story? They'll make more money than they would have by ending a game with a regular ending anyway.
And frankly, I'm sick of games that only test how well you can fight amongst chest-high walls.
A game that makes you think, now there's a rarity.

No. No it wouldn't. You never, ever bind a well established verse into an MMO world. Too much will be sacrificed in the process. Just look at WoW and you'll see what I mean.
Making a ME MMO is basically like converting ME into a Reaper. Harvest useful material to create a form that is huge, menacing, and a complete dead-end for what it's based on.
