Hard to get the idea out of your heads that Anderson and TIM are not real isn't it, that's indoctrination for you.

You'd think but concidering nothing in their dialogue especially TIM makes much sence and if you examined the room after what Anderson had been saying.
The concept of Anderson being there makes no sence and TIM's power make no sence so is it reality or Shep's mind or the matrix falling apart? Just think and it will brain kill you.

I actually wish there would be a way to save TIM, I always feel sorry for him.

You could see a bit of that pity in Shepard's face just as he's about to pull the trigger. I think he did the right thing. He knows that if he continues, he'd just complicate the matter.

I know, Shep also believes TIM is stronger than indoctrination, it is TIM who doesn't believe in himself anymore, and that is imo the saddest thing of all, and imo the thing Shep expresses with her face.

I wonder if we'll see TIM make some kind of tragic sacrifice in the DLC - I think that could actually end up fitting with his character and it'd certainly make for an emotional scene...

^By the way, thoughts on the "what if you didn't play arrival" debate going on in this thread?

I would love that.

The arrival thing would only be the icing on the cake, as said many times. From the quotes Harbinger always wanted Sheps body, alive if possible but that didn't matter much.

Garrus Vakarian: "I'm Garrus Vakarian. And this is my rectum!"

While I like Gamer Poop too, can we please stop parroting it every other page? Please?

It's gonna die off faster than Monty Python references at this rate.

And just like that, the magic will be gone.

I don't know why my sentense came out that way, it was meant to say "are real", it's hard to get it out of our heads they are real when the likelihood is they are not real but just manifestations of Shepards mind battling indoctrination.

If they were real then TIM has taken an overdoes of nessisary precautions and Anderson must be imagining things. I really don't see much which proves their existance aside from my resisitance to the theory which simply says "Bioware screwed up. Get over it."

I'm tired right now so I'll just say I'm only 90% into the theory as there is always that one thing that could have happened at Bioware screwing everything up. But I'm here to keep myself occupied untill EC comes out or whenever they dissprove it which will cause the gates of rage to open. That will be a day if it comes.:?

Here is one of the most interesting questions of all: If we assume IT is true, what does the Crucible actually do?

What every species that put it together made it for: destroy the Reapers. Nothing else I would think.

Or it could open up a dimensional rift in space that sucks the Reapers into another dimension (one that is void of everything), effectively trapping them there.

Yes it all makes sense now Mass Effect 3 was all just one big lead into Kinect Mass Effect where just like in Kinect Star Wars you dance as the characters. I can't wait to see the Harbinger dance!

Fuuuuuuu.

By the way - I could use a hand - I'm going to try to decipher the LegendSave file, but to get there I need to understand what various things do.
I do, however, have a lot of scary, scary **** coming up this week, an exam on tuesday on Aeroelasticity (do yourself a favour and don't even google it) and a coupld of other important bits and pieces, so I don't have time to play through the ending to create different combinations of Legendsave file.

So, could someone here try to make me some Legendsave files, or upload your own and post as much data as possible about the character and ending outcomes?

Then hopefully we'll find out what decisions are carried over to the DLC and how ;)

Ratchet and Clank flashback there. They're still gone and everyone is safe and happy untill they find them in other galaxies. Sorry I'm just very tired right now it's 01:00 right now.

What? Please no Halo 3 spoilers in your answer.

EDIT: I get it and I don't want to hear the answer.

A massive indoctrination device... yes, I had considered that.

For me the only way it can work is if it is a reaper trap, designed to bring a civilisation sufficiently advanced to build it (and therefore pose a threat to the reapers) to a killing ground with false hope and a false objective, that is the only way that'll make sense of it's miraculous discovery and answer the question of how the hell could lots of races build a device not knowing what it does and what the final component is. It also would make sense of why the reapers didn't attempt to take the citadel strait away, they needed us to have it, find out it is the final component, and then they take it and use it to draw us in.

I think this is probably on the money.
The probability, as far as I'm concerned, of a device surviving many thousands of cycles, is remote at best.

I go along with the idea because as I said, the reaper heart is the only war asset the player cannot avoid, you get it the moment you complete TIM's base, to me it's a crucial element, and we went and done it again, took tech we know to be dangerous and incorporated it into the crucible, strangely enough, if you think about it, EDI did not need to be on that mission, sure we are given reasons why she should be there, but in my opinion they are weak reasons, she is also the one that leads us through the base, Joker is quick to mention a kill switch or some kind of control, our beloved EDI may well have been under control, remember the monitor and the scientists say what if she turns a crew member? and EDI is fitted with reaper tech, she could well be under control of the reapers.
