Cheers to that!
Although to my shame I didn't come to the exact same conclusion at 5 am in the morning. For me it was more like:
The Normandy crash and the squad stepping out was obviously a dream. Shepard waking up: my only thought was "oh Casey, you silly goose!"
When I came to the BSN and saw people ragin over the Normandy crash...let's say I'm happy I found this thread and it's regulars.
I was suspecting that indoctrination might play a role in ME3 involving either Shepard or the crew, due to some of the conversations I had (mostly with Javik) and some other clues. A lot of things towards the end seemed "off", but it wasn't until I found this thread that piecing them together made more sense. Even found a lot of compelling stuff that I missed in my first playthrough.

Yeah, I don't get why people hate him, he's awesome. And Wrex, Wrex is the closest anyone else has ever gotten to being Garrus Vakarian without actually BEING Garrus Vakarian. Of course, as awesome as Garrus is, he's only the closest anyone's ever gotten to being Commander Shepard without... well, you know.
Edit: Someone needs to create Commander Shepard facts that are like Garrus Vakarian facts only more awesome.
I don't hate Grunt, he just gave me the feeling of "almost-but-not-quite-Wrex" when I met him in ME2. Garrus though... There's no Shepard without Vakarian.
