Totally agree about the EC, make it more than just epilogue content. Hell I'll happily wait until next March if it meant a full fledged expansion pack

Oh, I'm sure that it's more than just epilogue, trust me. One does not simply use 3 months, if not more, to jsut write some epilogue and a few additional cutscenes...

...and had incredible additional stuff that would make us "hold on to our copies forever".

Yup.

Hmm.. Not sure about this... Arian has proven that the DLC EC can work fine without any extra gameplay (in IT's case). Furthermore there is a lot to say (and show) about what happens after the ending, but also before it and whilst the final mission. A notable part of the time was could have been also used to hear and read the fans opinion/ideas.

Anyway if you're right, I'd be more than happy ^^

To be honest, I never really focused my hope that much on the EC.
At the end of the day, the really important thing to me is that on the day when the last DLC for ME3 comes out, I will know, what 'gift' Liara gave me and where Garrus will try to drink my Shepard under the table and that last shot of Shepard. This to me will be the ending for the trilogy, the moment I will be finally able to close the book.
Whether it comes from the EC or not, I don't really care.

I'm sorry, I've been lurking on this article since page 600 or so, but have probably missed things here and there. What is the possibility that ID took hold at the point where enter TIM's main room? Say the whole fight with Kei Lang is fake and everything from there on out was also under the influence.

Bumping my question since it may have gotten lost in the discussion.

I dont think there is a situation for shep to lose his/her will enough for it to happen at Chronos station. Unlike being hit by the the been or with the new theory of the shuttle ride with coates there are things that can happen to him/her to lose consciousness enough for the reapers to take hold.

I just wonder if the Chronos station was in fact a trap for Shepard, set my TIM, to try and get control of Shepard. Maybe to keep her/him from interrupting his ultimate plan of controlling the reapers.

Forgot to add, the room she/he entered was a "focus point" of the ID signal too. The station did have reaper tech in it.

Funny that the final three rooms you encounter on Cronos station are coloured blue, green, red lol.

O', how haveth thee made my mind blown!
But where is the green part?

There's a green room between the part where the human-reaper is housed and TIM's room.

The "embrace eternity"  with Liara was one of the most beautiful moments of the game. But I really don't want to know what it exactly was, just in this case I leave it to my own imagination :D
I'd add the goodbye of Grunt ("thanks for getting me out of the tank" tht's so him).
A scene with Garrus and Shep drinking a cocktail on a beach with a dead Reaper in the backgroud would be nice. I'm more interested (besides IT proven true or not) in cutscenes of your War assets, what became of the Rachni queen and especially the purpose of the Crucible. I can't rest till I know what it really was...

I agree. Regardless if the IT is true or not, I just want a great ending! I want my choices to matter. I want to know what the hell actually happens to the galaxy. I want to know what will become of my squadmates. I want my war assets to play a visual role in the end.

But most of all, I want an ending that does Shepard justice, and that concludes the trilogy in a great way!

And what Shep says to Garrus: "If I'm up there and you are not, I'll always be watching over you. You'll never be alone". Especially emotional in femshep's voice.

On an additional note regarding EC and THE ending to ME3:
it says in the blog that it will
"offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard's journey".

Even reading it with the IT translator leaves it open whether they combine the Ending DLC(?) with some bridge to IT or it will be just the bridge and the Ending DLC(?) will come separately.

EC is, just like the Crucible, like a box of chocolate...

Interesting choice of words here...

additional context : cutscenes of the war assets, Shepard waking up/rescued/indoctrinated/killed, fate of TIM (probably escaped once again, to Omega) and Anderson, Normandy and Squadmates, Epilogue...

deeper insight :
More dialogue lines with the star brat Harbinger, Coates?, Crucible?, Final assault viewed from another perspective ?

It could be true, that EC comes (again) separatly. I won't be happy with it though.. An end once and for all.

It was a good one too (but a little bit overplayed to my taste).
BTW did you take a look at the tip to change your dp without owning DAO ?

I'm behind a few pages now, but I'll reply to this and be back in a bit.
I don't think they'd be releasing just the bridiging section. Or maybe they'll release one bit and then the other but are making both simultaneously. To make the ending clear wouldn't take a 2-4 month minimum dev cycle, as it'd just be some pre-rendered cinematics and maybe a bit of dialogue.

Besides, I'm sure they're wanting to wrap up the main story so they can sell us other DLC

As Arian proposed, imagine the model where they promise the final DLC being the true, absolute Ending(?) DLC, which will be free. But until then, release paid DLC to bridge the gap, like Omega. I personally wouldn't mind that.

The Rachni Queen I have a specific Idea for when it comes to the ending and IT. Basicly I theorize (or rather wish for) that the Rachni Queen could be a kind of "get out of Indoctrination card" if you have her alive and choose Control/Synthesis, using her ability of interacting with a beeing mind and her resistance to Indoctrination to give Shepard a way out. My idea was that it would cost her her life to get close enough to do it.

I have said this before as it fullfills the "the Rachni choice will have large impact in the ending" promise  and Adrian used it as part of his EC story idea.

But yeah i would also like to know what happens to her afterwards if she is alive. My guess is she goes to distant planet to recreate her species, but maybe now that she is public knowledge (eveyone who worked on the Crucible knows of her) the Alliance/Council might give the Rachni a to them habitable planet closer to civilization in order to keep an eye on them.

Some hope in fixing  the ending is better than no hope at all.
A mind blowing plot twist vs. a really crappy ending with nothing about it making sence.
It's good to atleast hope or have it as an alternative. But you can't blame people for not beleiving in it as it is only a theory but I'm happy with waiting untill summer.
Still it's nice to see people discussing it rather than argue over it.
