This is the game that ties every Bioware together......finally. Even that Warhammer one fits somehow. Infinite dlc possibilities.

It's well thought out, but it doesn't explain armored shep being in earth concrete rubble at the end.

I'm more inclined to believe that Reapers would put more attention to indoctrinating Shepard based on the size of army the face. Still, Reapers surely know that Shep is the driving force behind this cycle's resistance and I'm pretty sure they'd fry his brain (or at least do their best against their arch-enemy) the second they had the opportunity.

Anyway, I'd consider this a plot inconsistency and I'd take it any day instead of gaping plot holes and spacekid/spacemagic nonsense we've been given.

I would think they would want to convert him even more. Shepard has been a thorn in the Reapers side for 3 years now. They are extremely prideful. What better way to crush the hope of your most hated enemy race (Currently humans) than by corrupting their most charismatic and important leader. If they indoctrinated Shepard the alliances would fall apart in short order and kill any resistance to the Reapers.

If I wanted to wipe out a species and prove that no matter who fights against me i can corrupt and bend them to my will, I would corrupt the one who has been leading the figth against me.

That's my theory on why Harbinger wants Shepard so badly.

I also read that they try to indoctrinate military and political leadesr to make the slaughter easier. I think it was in the Reaper section of the codex.

Yep

Sorry if I missed this in the thread, but what is the significance of "1M1"?

I'd like to know this as well.

Basically 1M1 means the 15th of March, and/or 1M1 being flipped around in the Citadel section of the game.

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but that seems like a stretch to me that it means the 15th of March?  It would be great if it's true though, that's only a couple of days away.

Is the game not released in all regions until the 15th or something?

Husks are predominantly made up of synthetic components grafted to organic ones. We already know that Shepard is partially synthetic, the Star Child mentions that and those are the only two endings in which you literally see Shepard "coming apart at the seams". Its supportive evidence for the indoctrination theory, but its rather weak since counterarguments can be made based upon what is said about Shepard in-game.

His eyes are glowing... thats husk style 101. Saren and TIM eyes glow too.

It is a bit of a stretch :P I doubt he would think that. That's quite optimistic, even for paragon Shep.
To me the most logical explanation to why Harby goes away is because the Future Child said so.And that's not what i believe, because logic got nothing against Space Magic:wizard:

Everytime I hear 'space magic' this is what goes through my mind

Dragon Age and Mass Effect are in the same universe, just Mass Effect takes place WAY after Dragon Age. Dragons and Arch Demons have become the all powerful Reapers, mages have been converted into synthetics and constantly rebel against those that wish to control them and Shepard is the descendant of the Grey Wardens and the only one capable of fighting the Reapers.

How's that for Space Magic? :wizard:

Well that would be my favorite kind of Space Magic, still better then the Magic that teleports Tali and Garrus on the Normandy. Unless they had a mage with them or a newer version.
Anyway, sorry to be going off topic, unless all the Space Magic also brings hallucinations...

To dare a step further, Flemeth is the Space God Child and is just trolling everyone because she has nothing better to do.

For some reason, these pictures make me really sad.

I've gone with the Control ending twice and I can safely say that I feel terrible watching Shepard's hands pull away from those circuits. I can't even imagine how painful that must have been based upon his reaction and what actually happens to his body.

Ugh. If control is the true paragon option in the end, I don't know if I'd ever be able to pick it for my Shepard. It is so painful to watch.

Actually, I've seen all three endings, and this makes more and more sense. Sorry if someone mentioned this before, but I'm not going to read 258 pages worth of posts.

In both the control and synthesis options, Shep clearly turns into a husk before he is "disintegrated". The only course of action where he remains human is Destroy. As terribly vague as the ending was, maybe it was a genius move on Bioware's part by negating all the players choices from the three games and giving us this boilerplate ending. They robbed us of our control over the story we created through our choices. Isn't that what the Reapers ultimately do? Rob advanced civilizations of choice and control?

Maybe they're trying to mirror what Shepard is going through with the players. Making us think we're done and trick us. If this is true, and this isn't the true ending. I can stomach it. They better not make us pay for the real ending though. That would be crass.

I that really was "the end" though, then all my previous objections to it stand.

I would imagine that the eyes of the husks glow because of the synthetics within their bodies. I thought this was the explanation for why Shepard's eyes turn red as the Renegade too? Hostile aggressive actions will cause the body to reject the implants and for them to stick out more. If that is the case, this isn't necessarily evidence that Shepard is a husk. Its evidence there are synthetics within his/her body, but that was something we already knew. Easier way of putting it would be all husks have synthetics, but not all of those with synthetics are necessarily husks.

Yes and no.

Yes because I'll have more content.

No because I believe they shouldn't sell an incomplete product that you have to buy the ending for.

I'll stop hating, because this theory, if true, makes absolutely bloody sense... as opposed to the inchorency of what's there now. And all signs point to Indoc/Hallucination/NDE/"Battle for Shepard's Mind" scenario.

Honestly, ending was so surreal that I'm willing to consider this theory being right no matter how far it is out there.(thats the phrase for saying "It sounds too crazy/complicated for to be actually true", right?) If this is true, Bioware are officially best trolls ever xD And awesome for that.

Yeah seeing those pictures now I feel horrible about picking control.  I really didn't notice how drastic it looked on my custom shepard, look like he was turning into dust but that's just total huskified right there.
