Just a quick question for you folks: has anyone ever confirmed that the Mass Effect Twitter account is actually an official one, and not just one run by some fan (who is now trolling us)?

Definitely a lie, but it would have been cool, yes.  

You can tell it's a lie because there are no sources, the guy has really no way of knowing this is true, and he blames Kinect integration for time constraints, despite the fact that there was a working Kinect demo like a year ago.  

It's just some angry fanboy who was angry Kinect and now angry about the endings making stuff up.

I noticed that too, and I hadn't read these theorys yet. For Shep to go from limping cripple into full on rage shooting is a little odd. It could be a physical representation of him breaking free of the indoctrination, or it could simply be an adrenaline rush. 

The thing I'm still confused about though is the Joker thing. WHY is he leaving the battle mid fight to run away? There's no way he could see the big energy blob coming and be like 'Screw this, I'm outta here' in the middle of a fight. He KNEW what Shepard was doing, he KNEW the Crucible was going to be activated, thus knowing there would be some form of energy coming from it. Why does he leave the rest of the galaxies races so suddenly in the middle of a battle? Doesn't seem like Joker to me.

Yes, i do agree with the Joker running part. But the whole ending is difficult to understand. After all - what happened to the fleet? What about repercussions from curing the genophage? Quarians making peace with Geth? There is no closure, there is only void. This is what's stopping endings from being satisfying.

Oh yeah, and one more thing. I brought Garrus and Tali to the last mission, and i assumed they were dead after Harbinger hit us with his lazor. But then, when Normandy crashed, and Joker left the ship, TALI was standing right next to him. How the hell is that even possible? She was ON EARTH, probably dying.

It may be a troll, but it definitely makes sense in the light of what we know from the script.

I guess Bioware could possibly be working on actually implementing this ending post-release to make up for what they had to do under the time pressure from EA. Or this is false and they are actually going with the indoctrination thing we're discussing. Either way, I think it can't be denied that everything Bioware employees actually said up until now was teasing and definitely hinting that they were working on something in the light of which our anger would quickly subside, on something that would satisfy us.

If this is true I will DESTROY EA. BW, why did you join with them? You chose the merge option! What is wrong with you? Were you just naive and thought: "Yay, bigger budget to take our games to the next level"? You could've been giants on your own backs with enough time rather than succumbing to EA.

Reading through that again.  It just makes too much sense! It has all the elements I had thought about whilst playing the game. You have a chat with Joker basically saying that Joker believes it was his fault that Shepard died in ME2 and that he would never want to do that again, so to have him try and come in to the rescue there makes sense. Then the part where the rest of your squad shows up to hold off the Reaper forces is like them holding the door in ME2. Then the motivation for the Reapers falls in line with a conversation with EDI that basically states how the Reapers only understand self-preservation as a motivation to live. 

I mean....just too much logical sense.

Yeah, when the endings are put back in, I hope that conversation comes with it. It means a lot.

Forum Signature Picture Update:

Come to the conclusion that I hate Photobucket. I keep getting emails that I've gone over my bandwidth. I'm assuming that the only reason the images are still showing up for me is because they're in the cache files.

I searched imgur.com for a bandwidth limit and couldn't find one so I'm hopeful that this won't happen again..

Wow, that is some impressive as all **** voice acting.

Too bad it was wasted on cut dialog that makes the ending even MORE depressing.

If this does happen and DLC is required what about all of those ppl who do not connect to the net?
Will It also be on a free disc you can go pick up somewhere? Will they mail you a free disc? No It will cost money. Costing money= Nothing or Needing a profit return.

If they do this,I will be just as upset as I was with the original ending. It makes little to no sense to do this,and wait a month (Or longer) to release the true ending. It just doesn't compute...

I like the idea,but will not hold my breath. I highly doubt Bioware will be honest or gives us a definitive answer to our questions. You give them the benefit of the doubt, as where I only see epic failures either way.

DLC true ending that some of us will get and others will not? So only those of us who obtain your extra DLC get the true ending? Leaving fans alienated because they are broke and find this ploy as meaningless as your original endings?

I'm having trouble understanding why you think or why Bioware would plan something like this.
It's not the theory,it's the ploy,or deliverance and silence to the fans.

I have read the Twitter post... And will end my statement here. No Twitter hasn't changed my mind,I am simply stating I am aware of the Twitter post and feel this way.

TBH Femshep has been consistently the better voice actor through the series.  Which is why Garrus is gonna give her an alergic reaction.  Just as soon as I can get a new copy of ME1 (which registers as a normal DVD on my XBAWKS)

Just take a look at the install size of the discs, there is a clear difference between whats on the discs and what is installed, now that may just a pointless remark, however if you wanted...perhaps to let the entire world at the same time enjoy the ending without being spoiled, then it seems perfectly logical to encrypt the ending via whatever means.

Lets just wait until the rest of the releases are done, before killing off the idea.

Has anyone analyzed/looked into the parting speeches of your squadmates before the final run in light of these theories? I did another final run last night, after trying to digest all the info from this forum for a few days, and maybe I was grasping at induction devices but some of them seemed a bit like foreshadowing.

They write good stories. It make no sense.

QFT.  I'll never understand all the people writing it off as "Bioware's typical bad writing."  Then again, a lot of them blame it on EA too.  I'm not saying EA has never done anything wrong but half their critics are so totally blinded that hate that it's impossible to for them to even consider any reason for a problem other than "EA is the devil!"

You know what part of the incredibly bad writing this would be if these endings were real is most hilarious?  And oddly I almost never see brought up?  Shepard takes a direct hit from Harbinger's beam cannon.  A regular capital ship can take down a dreadnought in a few shots of that thing, and Shepard survives Harbinger's on foot?  There's absolutely no possible way.  None.  You might as well say he survived a thermonuclear blast.  Even a destroyer's beam cannon is INSTANT death for Shepard in every other instance.

Another thing a buddy pointed out to me yesterday was that at some points on the Normandy, James Vega will say, "Do you hear that hum ? Is that just me ?".

In the the codex its says that hearing humming/ringing is a symptom of indoctrination.
