I don't know if anyone has mentioned this so I do apologise if this has been said before.

When Shepard first wakes up after being hit by the beam, during the little cut scene you can shoot the gun, before gaining control of your character, you can just randomly fire off the gun, I don't know if that means anything.

Also going along with the fact that you can't look at your characters feet, the chamber you walk through on the way to the console room clearly has large games in the floor that you shouldn't be able to walk over, yet you can just float over them, and judging from the rest of the game, that stuff like that would normally have an invisible walk around it to prevent that.

@masseffect It is! I am a paragon, definately, but sometimes a renegade option is just more "right", if you know what i mean?

hmm...mean anything?

too vague

There are lots of times throughout the game where taking renegade interrupts or the renegade option actually advances the game better than going with the paragon.

hmm has anybody found it odd that shepard never actually sees TIM except when he's a hologram and even then he's never shown to have the amount of reaper corruption he has on the citadel? if the indoctronation theory is true (and god do I hope it is) could TIM play the part of the indoctronation, anderson play the part of shepard's will power and the actual shepard we see play the part of his/her conscious?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned and it would be hard to search specifically for this in the thread, but does anyone else think that the indoctrination of Shepard to rally the galaxy makes the most sense? Bring all the races, all the fighters to one spot to fight an unknown number of giant infinitely powerful enemies. What took the Reapers hundreds of years in previous cycles would now only take them one...with no resistance after the initial push. All that would be left after the battle of earth would be clean up.

wasn't the day one patch 16mb? if so would 25 be big enough to add another part of the game in?

I received a 16mb update (1.02) on the PS3 this morning, not sure if that's the same one you guys are talking about. This was not the day one patch either, I had already downloaded that...on day one.

Ok, I have not managed to finish the game yet, but I have watched all the endings, and I think, or at least hope, that that makes me qualified to comment.

I was originally thinking about Anderson, and I wondered if he represented part of Shepard's mind in this context.  Think, for a moment, about what Anderson means to Shepard.  He was there through all three games, he was the man who originally brought Shepard abord the Normandy, and, perhaps most importantly, he was the only one who believed Shepard from the beginning.  His faith in Shepard never wavered.  So, maybe Anderson sort of plays the Horatio to Shepard's Hamlet, the only thing that keeps him anchored to sanitiy.  When Anderson dies in the "hallucination" (I only put it in quotes because Bioware has not said yea or nea to the idea) Shepard then goes to the Crucible.  At that point, it is likely that Shepard is at his weakest moment mentally.  Therefore, the Reapers now have their chance to try and take over.  Now, the destroy ending is the ending indicated by Anderson's image, right?  So, maybe that is Shepard's mind's way of saying, "This is what you should do".  Also, as pointed out by others, this is the ending indicated by the "kid" as having the worst consequences; Geth destroyed, EDI dead, Shepard possibly dead as well.  It would seem likely that the "kid" is trying to get Shepard not to take this option because the part of Shep's mind represented by Anderson, possibly the only person who has never faltered in his belief in Shepard and who Shepard has never faltered in his belief in, is telling him this is the right move.  Sorry if this got a little long winded, but I figured it was worth pointing out.  Any thoughts fellow BSN members?

No, that seems right. The first time I got to the end and was presented with the choices, I literally said to myself "I'm going to pick destroy, because thats what Anderson wanted, and he was always there and always right and good.

How does Shepherd survive the destroy option with all his synthetic implants?

Sighh... dude... it all happened in his head, the rammification of the choices don't happen because those choices don't exist, the only choice is fight or die.

We fight, or we die...

no because anderson told him too, hackett supported it, and no other squad mate or political leader questioned it

Hmm, that's a possibility.  If the reapers believed that they couldn't be defeated even by the combined might of the galaxy then it would make sense to lure them all into a trap and destroy them in one fell swoop.  Kind of like what the Emperor had planned to do to the Alliance in Return of the Jedi.

As is recall the Day-One DLC was ~600mb.
25mb are just some bug fixes, e.g. it was possible to walk outside the map in Purgatory if you run towards the Dead End of the dancefloor.

No, that would be counter-intuitive to the Reaper plan. I believe several times it is mentioned that if the Reapers are anything, they are patient. Also, they like discord in the enemy ranks. Makes them easier targets

I mentioned this before, earlier. Nobody really paid attention to it though. I feel like it's fairly significant.

I doubt it.  When the Reapers attacked Palaven, the turians didn't back down at all.  Despite suffering extremely heavy losses on their own side, the turians still managed to destroy multiple Reaper capital ships.  That's why the Reapers pulled back and opted for a slow and steady approach rather than just deciminating the turians head-on.  The Reapers would much rather play a waiting game than lose capital ships.  Patience isn't a problem for a being whose lifespan is measured in the millions of years.

It's possible. All the more reason to try and indoctrinate Shepard, in any case.

Could someone check if this update included a fix to the flashback video you get when you choose an ending? As I recall, if you have Tali as a romance, you see Liara instead.
