Are you serious dude?  Do you think after this many years of development they'd just throw random textures in the climax of their game series? Have a little common sense.

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying.

This ending that we got is terrible. Unfinished. Illogical

But it isn't some cleverly crafted trick that Bioware made to tease fans like a puzzle. It's just bad.

Even if it were a dream, you'd still have an incomplete ending. They are not mutally exclusive.

Was asked by BSN user zarzelius to post this, since s/he has been reading the thread but can't post since s/he hasn't registered ME3.

What really is eating me up is some other things that happened before the ending. The TIM videos saying they brought friends to make it more (i cant remember the exact words) real? what if he really isnt alive, but just the brain survived and is everything inside his mind? they connected his brain to some real AI and ME2 and ME3 games were just something tim did to be able to build the crucible and control de reapers, using shepard mind as the CATALIST. Maybe im taking it 2 far with this last point , but im planing on playing all 3 again like one big game starting tonight , with this hallucination plot in mind.

Remember, in the vid of TIM and the Cerberus doctor, they talk about a "Procedure" that TIM will indure and that is very dangerous....would that be transfering his mind into that virtual world they built for shepard in order to control the reapers?

I fully support this theory though I do believe in many cases you guys are grasping at straws. I want to believe Bioware put this much thought into the ending but there will always be that doubt in the back of my mind until it is confirmed.

Forget this thread man. Bioware got rushed and put out this terrible abomination.

This abomination isn't a clever puzzle that was made to trick fans. It's just terrible writing that makes no sense.

And if it was some big trick. Would anyone here prefer they spent time making this trick instead of giving us multiple varied ending like they said they would?

Yeah, why don't you forget this thread.  Bring your trolling somewhere else.  Posting the same thing every few minutes isn't clever or funny.

A terrible thought has just crossed my mind...

The general consensus is that they are waiting for the game to be released in asia/japan right?

Well, I live in Shanghai, and have been living in Asia for a while, i know how they are...
I have been to Japan MANY times, and now how they are as well...

Many Japanese (students mainly - high school/University) are under EXTREMELY high levels of stress, and DEPEND on games to alleviate that stress, and blow off steam... You dont understand, it borders religion and worship...

Their reaction to these endings might reach a degree of severity we would not be able to conceive, especially for the ones that have come to love the Mass Effect universe, and have been waiting for ME3 for a while like most of us..

I hate mentioning this, but the thought has crossed my mind, that some of the 'lesser willed' over there, might even contemplate suicide... as they do even just because of their levels of stress associated with jobs/studies...

I hope I am wrong, sincerely...

THIS. Just, THIS. This alone has me worried. Japan's suicide rate has been on the rise, and I have been worried since the day I saw the early leaks that someone, somewhere, may commit suicide because the endings were the final blow.

I'm not going to catch up on 300+ pages of this thread, but has anyone caught yet that EDI mentions during one of your chats that she is working with the cyrberwarfare suite around the Reaper IFF on the ship? In other words, the Reaper IFF you went into the old Reaper ship to obtain was never taken off the Normandy and can presumably still broadcast a signal.

I'm sorry if this has already been thought of. I'm sure it has.

That was after he was indoctrinated and implanted. On Virmire he was talking about proving his usefulness to Sovereign, trying to say us by submitting.

True, though Saren's still fighting indoctrination even at the very end.  And, if not that, then Sovereign definitely favors the sythesis solution, or at least uses it as a control tool, and a Reaper's idea can never be a good idea.

Again, where's the time-travel theories? If we're messing with dark energy here, anything could be possible.

Oh hell yeah!!

I'm not one to jump to conclusions but based on the sensationalist, melodramatic hyperbole of your post I'd say the lion's share of your thoughts are probably terrible.

Off topic. Do you by any chance have a Tumblr by the same nickname? lol i think I follow it. Not sure if it's you. Lots of cats and food and making fun of poor Vega man.

Hello, extremely stressed Hong Kong student here,  I just wish there is more to the ending, nothing more, I can assure you I do not intend to kill myself in the foreseeable future, hope this will ease your concern :)

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before since the thread moves so fast...but

the 1m1 doesn't only show up in the hallway leading to the confrontation with TIM.

It is also on top with the god child. In the back if you turn around before going to make your choice.

They appear again.
One 1m1 on the same side as Destroy.
And a mirrored (1m1) opposite, on the same side as Control.

But 95% of the game is not terrible writing, why is ONLY the last couple minutes so terrible? It makes no sense. If something has horrible writing, its obvious from the start, not the very end.

Somewhere along the way bad things happened and they scrapped the well written ending they were working on.

As a result we got this thing.

I definitely would rather have had tehm release a real ending and not this explosions with different colors bs ending we got.

I think my main problem is that this thread premise is to get fans to accept the terrible ending as a legitimate and purposeful creation by Bioware when it was just rushed trash.

Absolutely. Reapers are really arrogant, but still intimidating.

Just realized this after watching the Take Earth Back trailer: http://www.youtube.c...t?v=eBktyyaV9LY

Starting at 0:48, you can hear the ringing inside your head as the Reapers appear and it persists until they go away in the trailer (replaced by your heartbeat).

Malissin, Synthesis is what Saren wanted. He said a lot about this in ME1.

I don't think so. I played ME1 again (and ME2) over the last few weeks and I don't remember him wanting to literally do what Synthesis did. He was mostly trying to battle the Reaper's influence on him and remain in control.

Negatory - rewatch his final speech on youtube.  He's obsessed with merging man and machine.  Strenghts of both, weaknesses of neither.  Join Sovereign and ascend, yadda yadda.

I did, numerous times.

He's completely indoctrinated, heavily implanted and spouting the standard Reaper "ascension" lines. It's not what he wanted, but what he's told to want.

Had it been what he wanted, you couldn't have gotten through to him and had him commit suicide.

Nah, i'm a down to earth guy, quite optimistic about most things, and a realist.. Games are entertainment sure, but the priority in my life is, family, and job, to succeed..

My post was merely a thought, because I have met Japanese people that have unfortunately committed suicide due to stress...
