How about you step away from the keyboard and take a deep breath? I am not feeding a troll. She brought up an valid point that has truth to it. If you ever studied Japanese culture, you will indeed find that a lot of the people are stressed. Part of their culture is work and they take education seriously. It's not common to find a lot of people going to bars at night from a hard day's work. Students DO play video games as stress reliver, whether they are American, Japanese, or another ethinicity. If you actually google your information, you will find the dark side to Japan's society when it comes to suicide. I'm not saying there's going to be suicides, but knowing how the human mind works with stress, depression, and other factors, I wouldn't be surprised if someone, somewhere took a drastic action. I hate going off topic, but calling her a "troll" for speaking the truth isn't acceptable.

Well, I live in Shanghai, and have been living in Asia for a while, i know how they are...
I have been to Japan MANY times, and now how they are as well...

Many Japanese (students mainly - high school/University) are under EXTREMELY high levels of stress, and DEPEND on games to alleviate that stress, and blow off steam... You dont understand, it borders religion and worship...

Their reaction to these endings might reach a degree of severity we would not be able to conceive, especially for the ones that have come to love the Mass Effect universe, and have been waiting for ME3 for a while like most of us..

I hate mentioning this, but the thought has crossed my mind, that some of the 'lesser willed' over there, might even contemplate suicide... as they do even just because of their levels of stress associated with jobs/studies...

I hope I am wrong, sincerely...

THIS. Just, THIS. This alone has me worried. Japan's suicide rate has been on the rise, and I have been worried since the day I saw the early leaks that someone, somewhere, may commit suicide because the endings were the final blow.

It's not trolling.  Is it really relevent?  No, it belongs elsewhere no doubt.  But it is a rising concern in both the educational and industrial areas of the culture over there.  I think this is fairly exaggerated, but when you speak with some of these otakus...well, it's a completely different culture than what you see on the surface.

This, this, this, the first thing I though when seeing them was "Why is there gun in this part of the Citadel?".

I think it's the element that seemed the most "out-of-place", especially when these "guns" couldn't target anything from where they were.

While I seriously hope this theory is 'correct,' and admire your enthusiasm, take care not to get to a point where you are going on blind optimism or belief.  Though I know Garrus preferred blind optimism

If not for the Normandy relay/crash scene, I'd say you guys are making a mountain out of nothing. But this is the only explanation that explains that scene.

Concept art is hardly indicative of anything, on that I think you're looking too deeply. It's just a symbolic piece on Shepard helping Earth.

I feel like over the course of the last few hours (30 pages) we have lost focus on what we actually came in here to do which is discuss the topic at hand, and while many of the points are valid i think we are getting to hung up on such small things like the artwork on the back of the CE edition. That could just be a symbolic picture for the tone the game carries through from start to finish.
