So, I read the first post, and I must say that I really hope these theories aren't the case, cause I think I'd be more annoyed. -_-; I can see it making sense, but how would your choice play into it then if there is a future dlc ending? And I must say, if it is true and you 'wake up' but everyone else is dead (which is what I was most worried about during that sequence, that my team was killed by the reaper), I'd be equally unhappy... but I guess I'd need to wait for DLC and see what happens.

People of this forum, I speak to you today as a believer. We will not enter history because we played 200h of ME or because we had a forum with 430+ pages.
Today, we need to have trust in the events unfolding. Have trust in your reading skills!
The interview says something totally different than those pessimistic readers want to suggest:
Quote:Interestingly, he also mentions some "really great single-player content" that's coming as future downloadable content, which given the manner of the trilogy's conclusion, lends the week's most popular conspiracy theory a little more credibility than it might have first warranted.

I will believe till Bioware/EA goes out of business that there is something coming, something BIG.

We are not alone. We have money in our pockets for all DLC's they throw at us. We showed loyality to the ME series and it will be paid back.

Hold the line, my fellow fans. Hold the line, so that they shall remember us as we never gave them an inch of doubt.

I don't have "money in my pocket for all DLC's they throw at us". BioWare promised a SATISFACTORY, fulfilling ending. I don't have it at this point. And if i'll need to PAY for it - i'm not gonna be happy.

I'm sorry but if I owned a game studio, I would want to be so open about things. Telling my customers everything they want to know throughout the development process... at least having conversations with them on my official forums...

but i guess I don't get it. In video games there is no customer relations. It's so hush hush and quiet. Only time you really get to talk to devs as human beings is at events like Pax East coming up. They have a mass effect panel coming up at Pax East.... I'll def be there.

Sorry to hear that, but I actually hope the real ending will be free of charge... so anyone played through the game a second time?

I'd also prefer the theory that everything is indoctrination and everyone has been dying while Shepard was "dreaming" to what we have now. It's already my headcanon.

But if BioWare does NOT release any DLC concerning the ending, we really have to wonder what the hell went wrong in the last 5 minutes. Did the writers take a break and let the bureau cat write the endings?

A bit off topic, but the controversy over the endings is way too big to ignore. These endings caused a HUGE amount of rage, petitions, and even a charity event that raised $28k in over a day. Forbes, a notable business magazine, has even commented on ME3 controversy. Other articles have also commented on the controversy and rage in one way or another.

I'm not included in the following, but I wonder for those who are, since I am not that familiar with xbox live gold/silver technicalities..

Would silver members be able to download the dlc too? They paid 60 dollars[or more] for the game.

I'm on my second playthrough on Insanity and it's going fairly easy, we'll see.

You can still purchase DLC without gold.  So long as it's free.  I don't want to pay for better endings.  For the record I believe indoctronation, I just don't believe that they'll charge for the real endings.

Is it just me or are there more flavours to how people feel about the endings than there are flavours of a religions.
"Yes, I'm a New Scottish Reformation Christian."
Vs.
"Yes, I'm an Indoctrination, Pavlovian, free ending"

I also believe in Bioware, if they are going to release an ending DLC - which might not happen due to a timed unlock or some other epic stuff like that - they will do so without charging the community.

I want this theory to be true but guys... We just gave them over 400 pages concerning this ending. I think this is exacly what they wanted. They don't need to change anything to be remembered. The goal is achived...not matter how sad that sounds.

Maybe you are right. I have indeed thought about it turning out like you say, Lotarian. However, I want to believe that there is something brewing behind the scenes.

That's true. BW wanted to create a memorable ending that sticks with you.
But the problem is it's not memorable because it's amazing. It's controversy.

True. This is what made me believe in that they have an ace up their sleeves. I just don't get to wrap my head around the fact that Bioware might actually want to be remembered for controversy.

I keep hoping that, no matter what BioWare intended, if we just continue the ****storm long enough they might give in and give us another ending.
